I received an email that they were going to report the truck I dropped off on the morning of Nov 15th, 2025. I took pictures of where I parked the truck, the plates and also the key that I left under the seat. I called the business after failing to find a drop box and left a message to please process the truck as soon as possible. I then called and spoke to the night manager who indicated that nothing was noted in the computer and that I would be fine. However, after that, I got a nasty note from U-Haul about the missing Uhaul. Totally a horrific experience! Donald Boatright

It was a bad experience, my reservation was to pick up the truck at 9:00 AM but the business didn’t open until 10:00 AM. which put us us behind schedule when we didn’t get the truck. We also called the truck helpline which was totally a waste of time, she couldn’t find rhe reservation and tried to cancel our reservation and send us out of town to pick up another. It was a real Shit show! We reserved the truck at 9 so I could attend my granddaughter 5 th birthday party! The folks at Stephen’s were great!

The folks at Ace Hardware were extremely courteous and walked me through the rental process. The Truck was clean with a full tank of gas ready for my multiple trip move. I highly recommend renting a U-Haul from Ace Hardware.

The truck was making a weird noise and the engine light was on. I did not like the idea that I had to take all the pictures and get the truck with no instruction.

The truck I reserved was not available when I went for pick up. They moved me to a lager truck they had on the lot. The whole check in/pick process took over an hour at the counter. That seems excessive.

I received my truck dirty as heck. Dirt all over the outside, dirty interior and dirt built up all over the inside of the trailer. I took a video of the outside of the truck before i got inside, but we were on a time crunch so i didnt catch the inside of the trailer before the movers arrived. The drivers door wouldnt open all the way (bent frame) and one of the windshield wipers was broken.

They overcharged me on my miles and gas I put More gas than was in vehicle originally, when I got it it was 179 miles to empty when I returned it it was 198 mi till empty. Very shady how they took my money

Was told by the store the Wed. before Thanksgiving I could pick up at 8:30 as contract said. They did not open until 10:00

Super friendly, very easy transaction. We were in and back out within less than a minute and the follow up email that was promised came through just as fast. Absolutely zero complaints, highly recommend.

Inconvenient to not have a drop box for the key. Had to make special trip morning after dropping off the truck to hand in the key. The driveway back to where the trucks were parked was filled with very large pot holes and full of water after raining. Had to park past the trucks and walk behind them to get to our rental truck. Was asked if we wanted an appliance dolly, after saying we did, were told there were none available. Rented a 15' truck..there were no step-sides down from the truck. As a shorter person, this made entrance and exit of the truck inconvenient and dangerous. The truck was clean. The attendant at the rental desk was pleasant and helpful.

Rented a car dolly one day, and a 5 x 8 trailer the next day. Car dolly had a light fall out of its socket, and was dangling by the cord. The 5x8 trailer taillights stopped working on return trip. Otherwise, they were good.

Stevenson's is a well respected, local business. They have a dedicated counter strictly for U-Haul transactions. Paperwork done quickly and I was on my way. Final billing reflected my not traveling as many miles as I estimated. Good people. My go to rental location.

Did not include accessories ordered--dollies, furniture pads. Was charged to rent them and then charged at drop off over $300 because I did not return them. U-haul tied up my checking account because someone didn't load my truck with ordered items. And because, as the Crawfordsville manager explained, "some new kid just didn't know what he was doing." Bad business.

Uhaul rental process is a joke. Entered everything in app to save time, app was very confusing about enabling location services and you can just hook on and go. Still wasted 30 mins at store to get a trailer telling them all the info I entered in the app. You should delete your app from the app store...that is how bad your rental process is. Nothing against the location, but I wouldn't recommend uhaul to anyone.

Got called less than 24hrs before my reservation and told no truck was available. I had to drive over 1hr 30 min to here to get a truck, then that location didn't have the equipment so I had to go back to the original to pick up. They had 2 trucks the same size I needed that I was told they didn't have. This location is fine, but the W Lafayette one I had issues with.

Regional Manager (Vern) was excellent! He was the most helpful and filled in the gap for ACE. If it wasn't for Vern the pick up and drop off would have been a difficult experience, but he jumped in and was friendly, professional and made the process simple!

The only issue was that I waited for over 10 minutes to be helped and I didn't understand why 3 phone numbers and people were needed to rent a trailer. I have never had to provide that much personal information before and have been a long time renter of uhaul. Otherwise excellent experience. Thanks

I made a mistake when booking that was caught by an employee who went above and beyond to make sure we had a smooth moving day. So very grateful! It could have been a real mess, but they made sure everything was in place and we were able to move in the timeline we had planned.
