Return locations as well as rental locations need to have proper lighting for safety purposes. Trucks should never be rented without being properly fueled as well as a Pretrip inspection as well as a returning inspection with the renting agent. I walked my own truck off for my own safety, I added air to a steer tire that was low. Customers should never be asked to do a job that an employee of UHaul should be doing. I haven't rented from UHaul in 10 plus years and it's customer service has fell drastically!!!

The truck wouldn't start and it had to be jumped. We were pressed for time the way it was, so this was a bit of a setback. Also it was low on oil and even when we told them before we left, they didn't bother to put any in it, so we had to stop and buy oil to put in it. It would have been nice if everything would have been ready to go when we got there.

I was charged for 2 days of rental even though I only used it for 1 day.

What a fucking joke

No signage to let a customer know where to go or what to do. Drop off is 100 yards from store.

The site was closed when the truck was returned because of the holiday, so most of the questions cannot really be answered.

The pick-up for this rental was a disaster. The location and the people there were great. My preferred pickup location was Champaign, IL. The morning of my pickup, I get a SMS that the truck is available... in Crawfordsville, IN. 1.5 hrs away in a different state and different time zone. Thankfully, the folks at Ace were friendly and got me going. But, seriously UHaul, you need to do a better job of asset management and communication. I can sort of understand a different location in the same town, but certainly not a different state with an unexpected 3+ hours added to an already stressful, busy day.

Have employees know more about uhaul rentals than the customer does.

We do believe the ball joints were going out of the front end and it was a total bear to stear. We were surprised it didn't break down on us.

Make sure all employees are trained to check equipment in. They did a great job figuring it out!
