Rebecca MWe reserved blankets so things would be protected when we moved and they had none available. They took the charge off but it would have been very helpful to have the blankets like we asked. The kids swear they rented a 20ft truck but we had a 26 ft one. I do not know if they just remembered wrong or what.
Dee RTruck was not safe. Alignment was radically off. All wheels pointing in different directions. Truck moves sideways down the road, left front on the center line, right rear on the white line. Right front headlight housing broken and swinging freely. Multiple vibration points, likely engine or transmission mount broken, also tires badly scalloped and out of balance. Cab smells of gasoline when the truck is stopped / idling. Terrifying, unsafe truck.

Wesley AGuy and family was nice .quick,funny .only problem we had is ,I asked when it should be back ,for a one day rental .he said anytime don't worry. Than we return it and he charged me for another day.......

Frank SSteve runs a perfect U-Haul rental service. I could not ask for anything more. He was communicative, timely, accommodating and the equipment was provided in a clean and ready manner. His location is a little further from my home than others but I will always go here when I need a truck or van because of the service provided!
Stephen BReserved a trailer, but trailer was not returned so had to rent a small truck. Worked great but cost $60 more than the trailer.

Steve MThe store owner (Steve) is extremely rude. I did not receive any paperwork when I rented the vehicle. It appeared as though Steve has no idea what he is doing. He does not seem interested in providing good customer service. The vehicle leaked rain inside the cargo area. Extremely dissatisfied with the overall experience. I will avoid this location like the plague in the future.

Gregory FI've rented three trucks at Steve's General Store recently and my experience with Steve has been that he is a great guy. He's friendly, organized and provides excellent service despite the fact that in all two (possibly three) cases I've made changes to my reservation. IN fact on my most recent reservation I changed the drop-off location four times. Quite a contrast to my experience calling the national number and also in contrast to some other U-Haul experiences. Overall though, I highly recommend Steve's for all your U-Haul. My only sadness is that in moving to Brunswick, I won't have any more opportunities to rent trucks from him!

HAYLEE CAll went well but I was charged for an extra day due to no notice given to changed drop off location that an extra half hour was given to me because of U-Haul changing my drop off location! Extra miles were noted but not additional drop off time. I was given credit for this overcharge after calling U-Haul Maine and explaining the oversight.

steven vFix your truck. It leaks when it rains. The truck was very dirty.
Douglas aDealer name and address not included in current GPS listings. Street address came up as "not valid" on GPS search. My GPS is made by Garmin and the maps/downloads are very current.
jackie m1. The couple at Steve's was wonderful. However, he was a bit slow due to having a new phone. Luckily the person who was driving the U-Haul helped him figure out how to take the photo of her license. I assume he will get better at it, but that was a bit discouraging. 2. The truck is in need of some maintenance. It vibrated easily, and had a loud buzz amongst other things. The driver commented that she was a bit concerned with the sounds that it made, (She used to drive a shorter school bus, and knows vehicles pretty well), but it did get her to the destination safely. 3. When she first got into it it only had 1/2 a tank of gas. I had always been taught that U-Haul expected 3/4 tank of gas. We put $120 worth of gas into it to. It had the 3/4 tank when we dropped it off.

james rStruggled to find whomever was in charge. When I did, he simply said, "park it over there", never leaving his seat. He did not confirm that I brought it back in the condition that I picked it up in.
james gEquipment was not there for the pick-up time requested and did not include a dolly I was still charged for.
