The owner was not there when we arrived to pick up the truck and he arrived late after multiple calls. He misinformed us about the drop off location potentially causing a $328 fee ! I would never rent from him again !

Despite having called last week to make sure they would be open when we arrived on Friday the 20th there was a note on the door saying they were closed for the day and for Saturday and would not be open till Monday. This was not a big deal as we knew we could return the truck online. We went through the return process, got our receipt, but then found that the key and contract dropbox was completely broken and unsecured. This caused us after a day of moving and unloading the truck to place phone calls figure out what to do and make sure this was annotated on our contract so we weren’t charged for extra days because our drop off location was closed. I love U-Haul as a company but your actual equipment pick up and drop off locations could really use some oversight.

dropped it off after hours. when calling back to report the right-hand mirror moves after driving at highway speed, the gentleman acting like he didn't really care.

Steve was extremely helpful in selecting right truck to rent. Steve and his team are reasonable, friendly and focused on needs of customer. It was a very pleasant experience.

Trailer returned after normal business hours. No interaction with employees! I left the appliance dolly tied to the load support rails inside the rear door!

Please note that the location does not open on Monday. The phone online is incorrect and belongs to previous owner. The current owner phone number is 434-838-2099. Otherwise, the location is perfect, the truck is clean, and no compliant.

Initially when I picked up the truck everything went fine. The clerk was helpful and updated my rental for a second driver. When I returned the truck the location overcharged me then lacked the customer service skills to apologize for the error or even step in to help fix the error. They provided me an 800 number to request the refund. I understand that they could not process the refund but if you want customers to recommend your business you should attempt to be helpful to resolve issues and apologize for your mistake. The error, they failed to check in the truck when it was returned and then set the return date for 8 days later so I was charged for 7 days that I should not have been charged for. Plus they need to clean up that store. I know the primary business is pawnshop but you cannot safely walk to the counter at the back without walking over items; an older customer would fine it difficult to walk around that store. None of the pathways are clear. I chose the location due the convenience of it being close to me. If I have another need I’ll choose a different location and recommend others do the same.
