On 6/19/2024 when I went to pick up the U-Haul truck, I arrived at Steward Self Storage 101 N Service Rd Saint Peters, MO 63376 at 9:00 AM. I walked into the location and requested the truck. The person at the desk said they had no idea how to rent the truck I had paid for online earlier in the week. I explained that this was a problem because I had $200/hour of labor waiting at the location I was moving from. She offered no real help and said that I would have to follow up myself and handed me a business card. On top of all this the lady in the office absolutely reeked of marijuana. I left extremely frustrated. I then worked over the phone to check out the truck with U-Haul. This made me even later than planned and at $200 an hour I was stressed out. On the advice of the U-Haul representative on the phone at the checkout location, I took pictures of the mileage and the fuel as well as external damage prior to leaving. I picked up the truck with approximately 1/2 tank of fuel and returned it with the approximately the same amount of fuel. I was notified by the drop off location, 4 Your Stuff Storage 3121 W Chain of Rocks Rd Granite City, IL 62040 that the origin facility showed that the truck had 3/4 of a tank of fuel. I had taken a picture of the fuel gauge, and I sent it to 4 Your Stuff Storage and they said they would help to rectify the problem. 4 Your Stuff Storage has been very helpful, and I am awaiting the resolution and a credit back of the overcharged fuel. I have never had issues with U-Haul, and you can look at the account and see that I have rented from U-Haul for years. This ranks in my top ten worst experiences working with a company. Could someone contact me to ensure that my account has been credited.

William EThey forgot to put the utility dolly I reserved in the truck and then they were closed on Saturday at 11am. This meant calling customer service where I was asked multiple times to give the same info including a credit card to get a dolly reserved at another location. Overall I spent 45 minutes getting the utility dolly because this location forgot. Uhaul's customer service could have been smoother and appreciated the situation I was in better. I had to drive extra miles in a truck that charges per mile to get this dolly and on top of it I received a representative that seemed annoyed with me and was not helpful enough. Maybe in the future consider not asking the customer who did not receive what they ordered to do a new rental agreement and ask for a credit card. You already had all of this info from my original rental agreement. This should have been a simple process for me and require more from your customer service rep. I have had similar situations with locations forgetting the dolly but at least in the past they have been open. I believe if I don't receive a response from Uhaul that brings about a fair resolution I will not be renting from your company again.

RICK GWanted the truck available at 7 am. It was not. Could not use mobile pickup. Poor worker there opened at 9 and had no access to give me keys to the truck on the lot. I had to call customer service on my phone and spend 20-25 minutes to get access to a vehicle. It was not the workers fault but the scheduler who told me to go to that pick up location.
