William MMain issue was with doing the pick up and drop off with the app sine the location was not open on Black Friday and Sunday. I spent a half hour trying to make the app work but it would not (it kept not accepting my phone number and email address saying this was already used), and then another half-hour on the phone with an agent troubleshooting in order to pick up the key. Then the truck had issues, including tire pressure monitoring system needed servicing (and tire pressure was low but not as low as the system said, and the system would not read one tire), the emergency break release was lopsided and partially unscrewed, and the back door to the truck was frozen solid. The door unfroze while I was on the phone with roadside assistance, and they told me to just avoid using the emergency break unless absolutely necessary. Some of this is weather related, but the app was particularly frustrating, because when I dropped off the truck I also had issues using it. It's just frustrating because it took me almost two hours to actually pick up the truck using the app (and because of the other issues with the truck).

DAVID GThe truck was not swept out. Mud on the inside Truck was not able to be moved during pick up because of ice - I had to leave and come back. So I lost a 1/2 day of use. Then U-Haul from a different phone number called and told me I had to drop it off at a different location than where I picked it up from and left my truck there so - how am I supposed to get my truck I ask and the response was you will be charged more! This company is horrible!!!!!!!

KEVIN DWhen I picked up the vehicle I was told that I could call to change my drop off location to closer to the Hayden airport. When I picked the truck up I also pointed out that the vehicle had less than 1/2 tank of gas and the person told me just to bring it back with a half tank.. Gas is 3.75/gallon in this area. I called 48hrs before returning the truck to change the drop off location and customer service told me that it would cost me an extra $250 if I dropped it off at any other location. They said I could "chance it" and they'd review it with management but I wouldn't get an answer for days. This caused me to drive 1.5hrs out of my way to drop it off as well as cost me more money for the 50 extra miles (approx $30) I had to drive to drop it off at this location.
Bryan NThe local place was great and I would use them again. They were friendly, the location was nice, and they were upfront and honest. However I am disappointed with U-Haul and will search for an alternative next time because they charged me with things that I declined (specifically SafeMoving) and to fight that charge will take more time than it's worth, so I guess that they win for now.

THOMAS WGreat experience with Andrew at Stop-N-Go Storage! He was friendly and extremely helpful as well as genuinely thoughtful asking us how our trip to CO had gone. To improve for future customers, in regard to the original drop off location in Steamboat, another local dealer, they called the second day we had the Uhaul to inquire why we hadn't turned the equipment in (we were traveling from FL to CO a multiple day trip). I explained the rental was for up to 7 days and we were making our way safely across the US. I continued to be called daily to see when I would be turning the equipment in, not asking how our trip was going just when we'd get the equipment turned in. My rental contract was for up to 7 days and the calls started on day two. Renters beware if you prefer not to be badgered then do not return equipment to Timberline.

Katherine UMy original reservation was not available and I had two drive over 40 miles to reach two different uhaul locations to pick up the trailer and smaller truck that I was able to get. Everything time I called customer service I was on hold for over 20 min before speaking with someone. The trailer I picked up was very dirty. Terrible experience

RICHARD RI scheduled a 26' truck far in advance. I called the day of pickup to find out my pickup location was not even scheduled to be open and had no truck. Only after spending an hour on the phone did I get a 15' truck requiring two trips instead of one.

Melissa LYou might want to have the person that works at the rental agency to be well versed in after hours check in of vehicles. It would have been good to know that I need to take a picture of the fuel indicator and the odometer ahead of time in order to check the vehicle back in. that information was not given to me. Also, I had to remove the ice that was on the roof of the rental truck myself. There were very large chunks of ice on the entire roof that could have flown off the roof creating a dangerous situation for several reasons. Something to think about.

Lea WI asked for a Uhaul in Craig area but they only had in Steamboat. Due to this, I had to drive 40 extra miles because when I picked up in Steamboat I had to go back to Craig for my belongings. U haul offered me 1,000 miles without considering the 40 miles of extra travel because they did not have the truck in my area and charged me for the over miles. Not fair
