The website did not work when I tried to return the truck and I was unable to mark vehicle returned on time. at the time I rented the truck I was given a code to return the truck if gate was closed, but was not made aware of website link that would be texted to me. Truck was dirty and had a foul smell like body odor also I was over charged I was told it was $20.90 for truck and $1.59 a mile but when I returned truck I was charged an additional $24.00 for some reason it was for some coverage that I didn't ask for I went 47 miles which is $74.73 plus $20.90 = $95.63 plus tax I was charged $124.00 plus change not happy at allLESLI B.

It is wrong to advertise a truck for $19.99 and end up charging a customer nearly $90. Your prices per mile are extreme, especially if the customer needs to fill the tank up after use. I would not recomend your services to a friend, instead I would adamantly steer them away from your business.SILVIA R.

The pick up through app did not work. We had to go in to the desk and get set up there. Took 30 minutes total. Then they charged us the collision damage waiver without even asking or mentioning it when we didn't want it and had already declined it through the web multiple times.LUKE M.

I had no idea there was a back up camera in the mirror. I found it too late to use it. No problems though. Also, I did not know that I was going to be asked to photo the inside of the truck or the odometer once finished, so I locked it and dropped the key in the outside box and went home. Then, at home, I read the rental agreement and had to go back to take pictures through the windows and not able to photo the odometer, just remembered the mileage. The mileage cost was not apparent as I was scheduling the rental. Thought the cost was 19.95 per hour and I booked for 3 hours (although returned in 2 hours). Thought there was unlimited miles. Pick up a d drop off process is a mess, in particular, getting through that gate. Storage unit and U-Haul should have better and more effective communication and cooperation. I shouldn't be forced to keep and pay for a truck because it's a holiday and the storage is closed smd my U-Haul is packed with my belongings.Keith N.

The truck size recommended to me was entirely too small and I was forced to make two trips which more than doubled the quoted amount. I recommend just getting the largest truck available and disregarding uhaul's recommended sizes.Charles W.

The customer service part was excellent. However, the total charge ended up being WAY more than I thought! The truck rental was $29.99 and all I did was drive from Wakefield to Chelmsford and back. It's like 35-40 miles total. And I filled the tank which was only 3/4 full when I got it.Joseph P.
I am beyond disgusted by the ethics of this company. I rented a truck - as I pull into my destination an engine . light stating "Zero Percent Oil Capacity" . I called Uhaul - it took 30 minutes to through to the service center. They said service would be one site in an hour....So I held my moving team. After 90 minutes I let them go. 4 hours after my initial call service arrived He checked the oil - said it was fine. Technician said this happens all the time - poor maintenance. But he gets $75 per hour and $ 3 per mile -so he had no problem. I then talked to the women from service...again - explained - again that i had a team of movers - I sent them home....had to pay them ( college kids so 4 -I promised $100 each. SHe said I had to talk to the local agent about that she would prolong my rental a day.- since the entire day was taken up unable to load the truck ( in case it needed to be switched out) this seemed obvious. Had the movers back the next day....they rearranged their schedule, I took another day off from work. We load things up - had to make different arrangements to drop tings different places - because now some places for drops were closed or people were at work ( add miles to the bill here). I pay the kids again ( had to - it was their time..) Drive back and return the truck the next morning. Now the vendor tells me I have to take up the expense with corporate because they are not a Uhaul....WHAT!! The manager gets on the phone from another store - confirms everything I am saying, right down to that corporate told me to deal with him - its all in the notes! He says there is nothing he can do I have to talk to corporate.I was too tired to argue. This is unreal, unethical, and ridiculous. What does your company plan to do about this - according to the tow driver he got $600 for the trip - and it happens all the time - me I got screwed. Things happen - trucks break down, but handle it....don't lye about service times or send people on wild goose chases trying to get so modicum of satisfaction. If I don's hear back I will go to the BBB and tell my story to everyone who will listen just for some sort of justice, when all your company had to do was offer me a fair process of resolution. $19.95 off the bill - for time you caused me to need was insulting.Margaret M.

The app was absolutely horrible. I couldn't get the code to get into the facility, and when I called customer service, they told me that I shouldn't have been allowed to rent from that facility after hours. It took me 45+ minutes to get the app to work (and I am tech savvy -- web developer) to obtain the code to get into the facility and keys.Lynne S.

When I was told to drop it off, the place was closed and I couldn't get into the place to drop off the keys until 20 minutes later when someone luckily was happening to leave the place and I could get in.
