Not happy. I reserved for pickup in hazeldell. The lady on the phone didn’t set it up correctly had to push off movers and drive across town to pickup a dirty loud truck. The lady on the phone said fees would be waved the rental fee still ended up being charged to me. Wouldn’t recommend renting online or over the phone.

Jana GMama’s attic leaked in the admittedly dramatic weather. Broke a couple box bottoms. Wouldn’t have mentioned it but I was surprised to see a 2 gal fuel additional charge when I left on half and returned on half. And it was 7 miles. Got me fired up enough to send a review in any event.

NOLLAN CAgain, the counter assistance was outstanding. A very expensive device charger was forgotten in the cab, behind the seat. It's black wrap made it impossible to see it. The woman called me within 15 minutes to let us know it was at their counter. Turned out not to be ours, but her honesty was impressive.

John MThe pick up was great and the people were very helpful. The issue I had was with the equipment. It looked and worked for most of my trip from Washington to Wyoming. Once I Got to Wyoming, the driver side ratchet came undone twice. The first time it caused both the vehicle and tow vehicle to almost lose control. Luckily I was able to come to a stop and put the strap back on. It the strap came off one more time during the final stretch of the drive. Because of this I pulled over about every 50 miles to check the straps.

Big door in back was open when I tried to drive away so I went in the office to ask if it was OK to drive with it open. They closed it for me. Other than that customer service was good. AL SThis was by far the worst experience I’ve had with U-haul. I booked the reservation by phone days prior. Chose the pick-up location to reduce mileage. Confirmed return at a different specific location 2 days later to further reduce mileage, by drop-box as it would be returned late PM/early AM. Was booked an “extra” 3rd day at no charge just in case. As long as it was back before opening shift started on the 3rd. Confirmed the price, and comped 30 miles. That employee was one of the best I’ve encountered. The pick-up location opened at 9. We waited 30 min while 2 other customers were served. A longer wait than usual. The man working spent time inside with each customer, then outside to clean their U-haul while they waited before releasing them. I’ve never experienced that before. I figured he was called in late and short-staffed. However, when we went inside there was a lady working the computer. The trucks could’ve easily been cleaned timely. She couldn’t find my reservation for several minutes. She said her computer was giving her issues that day, so she decided to take her time too. I expressed we were in a hurry. This was a court-ordered move. We had a few hours for 2 days, a ton of stuff to move, and a mediator costing $75/hr since 9AM whether we were there or not. It was well past that. It didn’t speed her up. Both employees focused on talking while she slowly clicked on the computer. The truck I booked wasn’t there. Was told it happens, I must’ve missed the update Uhaul sent me. I showed all text/emails I received. They all confirmed and matched my booking. No updates/changes. Was told she can’t change the reservation, and gave me the address to the Uhaul’s location. It was a big back-track from where we came, and where we needed to go. I reminded her we picked this location to reduce cost. The added miles and mediator fees would be cost much. She didn’t offer another solution. I asked for a U-haul available there. She finally made some calls and sorted that out. Apparently she can change the reservation. I tried to re-confirm the other booking details. They all changed, too. Had to return it that night at their location since it was booked the next day, which would add many miles and cut our 2-3 day reservation to 1. I pushed back again. She made more calls and worked it out for 2 days and drop-off at the location originally booked. However, the price was a lot more. I didn’t have a choice but to pay it. The guy eventually moved our rental to the front, still didn’t clean it. Came back inside to talk and stand around. Then I was told no 30 mile comp either. I pushed back again. She spent more time repeatedly re-doing the booking changes. Finally confirmed the details and 30 mile comp. (Later got charged for 29 miles after drop-off. So she didn’t comp the 30 miles. I was able to get that charge reversed through Uhaul support. I asked for any instructions for return by key drop box. Was told there weren’t any. (Later got charged for improper drop-off. Apparently there were instructions needed. That charge wasn’t reversed.) Asked for a disc padlock to secure the load during lunch. Confirmed it would fit the U-haul. The lady said she thinks so. It should, otherwise they wouldn’t sell it. The guy said nothing. Bought it, it didn’t fit. More wasted money and stress. We finally finished and got keys around 10:20. The guy remembered it wasn’t clean, so we had to wait even longer for him to do it. Gas tank was empty. He didn’t tell us. He had so much time to go fill it and clean it. My husband had to back-track into town to fill it up, costing more in miles and time. Husband was so frustrated, he accidentally filled it up. No reimbursement, and the tanks are anti-siphon. They got it back full tank on us. We used 29 miles. The mediator fees were $150 by the time the Uhaul made it to the property at 11. 2 hours! The amount of money this cost/wasted is insane. We lost HUNDREDS. The lack of customer service, knowledge, urgency, care, integrity by those employees was shocking. I hate to leave such a bad review, but it was earned.

JAMES SI reserved two hand trucks that were not in the truck when I did mobile pick up. The customer service girl over the phone helped me find two others in the area I could pick up, costing me excess fuel and a 40 min each way trip to pick them up. I lost critical moving time because my reservation was not completely fulfilled.

efren fJust let people aware that UHaul only fills the truck with 1/4 tank of fuel. Should provide a MPG rating for the truck so you can plan distance and fuel needed.

Jim CThe size truck I had ordered had been confirmed, but on pickup it was not available due to dead battery. So I was provided next size up truck as no charge courtesy. Would have preferred a more detailed pre-drive inspection and review of truck dashboard. Was difficult to turn key in ignition at start, and on leaving UHaul, the fuel cap was not securely attached, which prompted a low fuel warning while on the road. Otherwise, the drive and loading/offloading were uneventful. Truck was clean and everything worked. Staff at this Woodland eastside location were professional, friendly and helpful. I would recommend this rental location and I would use this location again for hauling/moving needs. Thank you, UHaul.
