My experience was absolutely frustrating. They do not have 24-7 drop off which I was not told and when I called uhaul they confirmed that they do and then I get there and the parking lot is closed. I was so frustrated. Then there was a snow storm here so I had to keep the vehicle parked on the street until Sunday. Then I had to go back there again and return the keys. After all that they overcharged me and now I'm having to file a dispute to get the refund. I will never rent from here again.Jennifer Z.

customer service is nonexistent among the employees there. The 10' truck I rented was disgusting. When I arrived, I began to take pictures of the trucks damage, which was a lot. I opened the driver's door and a strong smell of Tabacco and muddy shoe prints everywhere. We had to keep windows open to cut out the smell. it was cold. We put the heater on and the vents gave off a bad smell. The center counsels where the drinks go had tons of crumbs and were sticky. The steering wheel was sticky as well. The trucks check engine light was on and the gas gage was moving sporadically. I wiped the steering wheel with a disinfectant but overall traveling in that truck was horrible. Especially when we are in the middle of a pandemic. Maintenance of the trucks should be priority for your employees and especially your customers. I have pictures and video that I am ready to share with you. I usually dont have problems with uhaul but this locations problems was a complete safety hazard. I initially had my reservation elsewhere on cypress Ave. i live really close and didn't recognize the place so I decided to go early to double check (mostly because the uhaul website kept giving me an error when i was checking my reservation status). I showed up and the store front door was locked and waited. After 5 minutes someone showed up and he confirmed I am all set and he'll be in the office to physically hand me the keys. Long story short, i showed up the next day and this time the store front gate was down! When i called uhaul ( after finally getting past some location service issue that was enabled) they said he allocated the van but there was no key in the lockbox. Wasted an hr and had to drive to another location 20 minutes out of the way in both directions.Christopher L.

HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE experience at this authorized Uhaul dealership. Sheduled the rental weeks in advance for 6 hours (10:00AM-4:00PM) on the Uhaul website. Confirmed the pick-up time, length of the rental and pricing with the dealership via phone call on Thursday prior to the move. Arrive at 10:00 AM sharp only to find that the truck is not there on the site. After waiting an HOUR before receiving the truck the dealership owner then tells me I have to bring the truck back by 3:30PM!!! Amazed and incredulous, I had to start my move 90 minutes late. After calling Uhaul customer service, as I am still moving, and waiting 45 minutes before reaching a representative (total phone call time was 1 hour and 20 minutes, in the middle of a heavy move mind you) to see if there was another location I can drop the truck off without any penalty fees, I'm told that the department that can process said changes has closed said there was no other option. So I had to find a spot to park the uhaul truck (have you ever tried to find parking for a 15' uhaul truck?????) All I recieved was a sorry. They did waive the fee to for the extra day ( duh, yeah you should this is all your fault) Failure on U-haul and on the authorized dealer collectively. Terrible service in all interactions with both entities Stay away from the storage Maxx at this location and U-haul, for if there is an issue that arises due to failure to uphold their part of the service agreement that they put in place, you very well may find yourself on your own dealing with horrendous and subpar service.PARISM A C.
Worst experience ever in my life! I also called customer service phone number various times no response. Literally almost got into an accident with the truck due to the brakes and no one responded. The location was rude and disrespectful in ever aspect. I'm disgusted with UHAULAbraham C.

dude actually tried to make me fold the blankets . this after changing the booking return time because he didn't want to stay an extra 30 min. the gate on the front door was closed preventing me from picking up, had to walk around the building ringing the intercom and then he decides to open the door. apparently he's to cheap to hire someone so he has to run around the storage and U-Haul rental by himself. he threatened to charge me a surcharge if I didn't help him fold the blankets and re-bag them in torn plastic bags. totally ridiculous and idiotic experience , I deeply regret renting from here. and will never againTimothy P.

Truck had a smell and drivers mirror was cracked. Smell is acceptable i guess since it is a moving truck. But mirror should be fixed that can be a safety hazard. Other then that everything else was good.Johnny Z.

Cars available are not well maintained. Only had one van available that would not open the side door. Checked in online but them was asked the same questions at the store. Personnel was helpful and respectful but seemed not to know all the answers to customer questions regarding Uhaul charges and policies.Leinni M.

When I returned your truck, your representative Indika Thrimanni told me that I had to clean the back of the truck. I explained to him that the truck was dirty when I pick it up at the site. He asked me if I had a photo from when we picked the truck up. I explained i didnt. He then handed me a broom and told me if I didn't clean the truck there would be a 20 dollar charge. I cleaned the truck but found a receipt on the floor from a contract from February 28th. When I explained this to Mr Thrimanna, he asked me â€œwhat do you want me to do about it, I didn't see itâ€. Mr Thrimanna was rude, unprofessional and didn't do a proper inspection of the van. If he did he would've found garbage from months before verifying our story that the truck was dirty when it was picked up at the site. I find it ridiculous that you haven't cleaned that truck since at least February. With CoVid 19, I would think you would have some concern about spreading the virus with uncleanly trucks. Mr Thrimanna then refused to answer any questions about our contract and walked away. I will never use U Haul again, I will tell anyone who needs a truck not to go to this store, I plan on contacting the NYC Health Department regarding your uncleanly trucks in the middle of this pandemic and I plan on giving the store a bad review online.KENIA P.

Gentleman behind the counter was the nicest guy I've encountered behind a U-Haul counter. Ive rented like 6-7 trucks over the last year all different locations because of availability.Paul A.
It was a basic uhual rental, however the uhual was dirty and whenever I drove the truck over 40mph the steering wheel felt as if it was about to fall out. Customer service wasn't great, seemed very monotone, and very dry with the little interaction I had with them.
