Do not offer the 24/7 Truck Share service. It is ineffective, confusing, and a waste of time. Luckily, I arrived early to my pick-up appointment so the gentlemen were able to help me get on my way but I received zero confirmation or instructions on how to access the keys or vehicle from Uhaul. If I had arrived on time, It would have been a day wasted. This service is useless.

The interior, windshield were filthy. Hard to see out the windshield. Also the truck seemed difficult to start.

Daniel, the manager at Griswold, was very helpful, and I would recommend renting from him. The U-haul trailer, however, had a problem: the door spring was so strong that the door sprung up suddenly and then jammed. Dan was able to fix it for us, but U-haul should have made sure the trailer was in better shape before sending it to the Griswold store.

There needs to be clearer communication on the rules of picking up the uhaul. When we reserved it online we were told we could pick it up with our phone at 8 am. When my husband went to the location to confirm he was told he had to wait until 8:30. On pick up day we were both given attitude because we weren't there at 8 am. It was not the best way to start our day of moving.

Give a quick sweep of trucks...there were quite a few loose screws, which would have scratched the items being moved if we hadn't swept it out before loading. UHAUL company could offer military discounts.

Our overall experience was poor. We were supposed to have a 17ft truck reserved at a different location but the key was not left as it should have been for a self pick-up even after confirming the day prior that everything was good to go for the morning of the rental. So we had to not only drive to a different location to pick up our truck, but we also ended up with a smaller 15ft truck. This caused a major inconvenience for us both in additional travel and also in not being able to fit everything we planned on moving due to the smaller size. The pick up location in Griswold was fine and the truck itselt was fine, but our experience was awful and we absolutely would not recommend UHaul to anyone in the future.

i ordered a 20' truck, and have a reservation for it at the location that I arrived to. The rep said that he didn't have one. I was forced to take a smaller vehicle. There was no apology for inconvenience, no ownership of the problem from the rep. I was moving, I had no choice. I then took a time stamped video when I got in the truck of the gas available and the mileage. The time stamp was from the radio in the truck, not my recorder. Upon returning the truck and after putting in gas, I received a call from the rep telling me that the gas was short. I told him there was no way because the gas was lower than an 1/8 and not a 1/4 tank like he mentioned. When I returned the truck, I recorded another video showing the level of gas which was more than when I took the truck to begin with. The rep told me I was wrong. I then told him about the video and told me that I needed to come show it to him. Again, no ownership, it was was all my fault according to the rep. I told him that if I had to come bring him the video, I wanted the rental for free. He told me then the stop threatening him. There were no threats, it was just another way for him to NOT take ownership of the situation. Yes, I do have the video and this is EXACTLY the reason why I filmed it. I told him that he can't blame me for them not doing their due diligence and putting down the correct readings. He STILL would not take ownership of the issue and told me to never come to his location again. I've never had an experience in any retail location worse than this. He even threw U-HAUL under the bus by telling me "All they care about it making money." I had an associate with me as well that couldn't believe the things he stated. It was a horrible experience and because of it, I will never spend another dollar with U-Haul and I will also urge my friends and family to use a different service as well
