Drop off locations need to clearly indicate if it is ok, or not, to drop your rental even if the office might be closed.
petter kohlerThe uhual app is horrible, and this isn't the first time it hasn't worked as expected. The person working at the location is my witness , and that the app failed me
Scott GallawayWas overcharged on my rental. Tried to Rent for one day, and got charged for a week. Waiting on reimbursement for this incident.
Kyle BeilfussExtremely helpful and patient. She also noticed that the car tow had a worn tire.
Chris WintzGreat service. Too much paperwork
Bill BixlerGreat service
William BixlerNever rent in Jackson! untrustworthy, Possible racial discrimination, may cancel without notification. The assistant manager canceled my rental almost three hours prior to the appointment with out notice. So when I arrived at the time I had specified over the phone (Which was at 8pm instead of 7:30pm as I had discussed with an employee in the mourning would be the case to which they said 24/7 pick up and everything would be ready for me), the 10ft truck I had requested wasn't ready. There where two of them on the lot, and I was able to see two employees at the counter of the closed facility, I knocked on the glass to ask about the truck since I was still unaware that it was canceled. The person behind the counter just yelled at me through the glass to go away and that she wouldn't help me since they where closed. I insisted that I only had a quick question and that it would only take a second hopefully since I was told everything was all set and all I needed was to confirm my pick up online. The person poked there head out and screamed at me to "just go away, we are closed, if you had a rental pick up its canceled, and if you want to complain don't even try cause I'm the assistant manager and I already closed the system so your sh*t out of luck. You have to go online and try the 24/7 rental but we only have 15 ft and there aren't any moving supplies available." She than got in her car and left my friends and I there in the parking lot with out saying anything else. It than took me another 3 hours to get a more expensive truck which was unnecessarily big from a different location. My grandparents had to stay up extra late to wait for us to help move out several large pieces of furniture from there house they where getting rid of before the move into there new retirement housing. My friend who had came out with me from canton to help missed his friends going away party because of the delays. And than to top it off I was charged even more money since the second location was farther from the original one I had requested and not a single employee felt the need to mention the complete drop off procedures. The complete drop off procedures aren't shown online or at the drop box. This was the first and last time I will ever rent a uhaul. I don't know why the assistant manager at this location was so rude but it makes me wonder if I wasn't being racially profiled because I have never been spoken to like that by any company employee before. The fact that the rental scheduled 48 hours prior was canceled 2 hours before I arrived with out ever even telling me. If this was an airline there would have been required to compensate me a minimum of 400% of what the rental agreement cost. This is part of the "involantary denied boreding" which is in transportation contracts everywhere, but instead I only recieved 50 dollars as a refund which didn't even cover the extra charges they racked on due to going over driving distance (which only happened because of the new pick up location I had to go to for the new vehicle since it was further away). I would love it if they would investigate the assistant manager at the first location, she was so rude. I don't know what her problem with me was but I have heard awful stories about jackson and its treatment of black individuals so it's a real concern that racial profiling could have been a factor in the way I was treated. I have a very foreign name and even though I am a black person raised in an all white family, I often forget that discrimination is a real possibility. I didn't even begin to suspect it until my three white friends who where there witnessing everything told me they have never been treated like that when renting a u-haul before.
Imani SchneiderTruck was beat up pretty good on the outside, but ran and worked fine.
Daniel OdonnellActually check the trucks when people return them
Austin WalrathI returned the U Haul with over a quarter of a tank of gas because it had a quarter of a tank when I picked it up. I received a text stating the truck was returned with an empty gas tank and was charged over $80 in gas and service charges. I called and talked to a lady named Amy and told her I was absolutely sure there was the appropriate amount of gas. She said she couldn't help me and I should call the location where I picked it up. I had to leave work and drive over to Storage Sense to get them to double check the gas. Of course it was over a quarter of a tank! I wonder how many people she has charged and then refused to double check for them. If I hadn't left work and driven over there I would have had to pay over $80!
Terrell DanielsThe Uhaul trailer had dents in it and the lights did not work. The Uhaul also detached from the car as we were driving down the road. The Uhaul website also did not specify the size of the bulb to use, so we had to leave to buy the correct size bulb before we could attach the Uhaul
