Very disappointed with U Haul central office customer service to be sent 15 minutes and 10 miles further away ( that’s an extra gallon of gas as well as time) and when I arrived that site had not been notified to expect me. A phone call and extra time to correct this oversight. Then because I had to drive further I was just below 1/2 on the gas gauge and was charged $13 extra. When I called to discuss this extra charge the person put me on hold and then a female supervisor came on and rather rudely told me my contract does not guarantee the drop off location but does say I must return with half a tank. I then drove to a gas station and added 1.2 gallons for $4.60 and then it was 1/2 tank. Overall took me 40 minutes to return plus extra 30 minutes to drive the extra distance back and forth

It was closed when I got there and there was no clear instructions on where to leave the truck key.

It's nice having the storage company integrated with the U-Haul company. In this case it was the 9 Mile Storage Solutions. The representative I worked with helped me change my order on the day of pickup, and was nice about it. He also helped me figure out some of the trucks mechanical things - how to release the parking brake, and how to put my padlock on the sliding door. Thank you!

The online experience and any attempt at the 1800 are ridiculous. Spent over and hour for a pick up and could not return without assistance. For the 20mins I used the truck the whole thing was completely painful and not worth it.

I am disputing the mileage. In less than 45 minutes driving on winding, icy roads, with a 50 mph speed limit, I was billed for 70 miles. That is absolutely absurd.

Uhaul is disgraceful! My reservation summary showed an estimated tax of $15.94. When I picked up the truck, the tax ballooned to $58.06. When I asked if it was a sales tax, I was told it was a "Uhaul tax". In other words, a rip-off. I was allowed 5 days to make my trip although I was sure I could do it in 4. The agent said not to worry because I would be refunded $40 for each day that I didn't use. I returned the truck in 3 days but got no refund. The truck I rented was clean on the inside but filthy on the outside. I know that it wasn't a fast turnaround because the truck was on-site at least a day before I rented it. Uhaul failed or misled me in nearly every aspect of this rental.
