First off - the managers at the StorageOne Rentals Stephanie were great and got me on the road in a matter of minutes. Unfortunately, the 15' truck I received had problems, causing us, in the end to offload the truck in 5 loads into a friend's pickup truck and trailer, which - in turn - caused us to be hours late in our "estimated" return time. The problem with the truck was, I believe, a stuck throttle pedal or linkage, causing me to almost run over 2 pedestrians, in one case, as the brakes could not stop the vehicle alone when the engine was accelerating. Luckily, I kept my cool and put the truck into N - Neutral before the truck went into the crosswalk. In another instance, the truck nearly rear ended a Tesla that was sitting at a stop sign. Again, I had to put the truck into neutral to stop it in time (and within inches I might add). There were two other times, just after we loaded the truck and I decided the truck was too dangerous to drive, especially with a full load. So, I called a friend with a trailer and pickup to offload the rental truck, instead of taking any chances. This process took 5 trips - each 22 miles round trip - which put us hours behind our "estimated" schedule. To add insult to injury, halfway through transfering the furniture and items from the truck to the pickup/trailer, I received a text message from U-Haul stating that MY estimated time had passed and that they were going to charge me for another day, including insurance. I guess I should have asked to keep the truck for 10 hours instead of 6-7 hours to avoid this overcharge for their defective (and dangerous) equipment. So, yes, they charged my card again after having the vehicle for 6 hours...stating that "a family was waiting for the truck", but when I returned the truck, there were many 15' trucks in the lot available for rental...so a bit of a scam in my opinion. (there was no family that was going to rent the truck). I will not be hiring any truck again at U-Haul, ever...the poor maintenance of the equipment, making it dangerous to drive, and their scammy add-ons (two rental charges in a 10 hour period) are good examples of a company that doesn't care about safety or long-term business relationships.

JOSEPH CI rented from a store much closer to my home and when we got there, they didn't have the appliance dolly we needed for a fridge (that was the only thing we were moving) She sent us to the Paseo Verde store as they did have one. The truck was ready, yet the mileage and gas were off from what the agreement said. I did let the girl at the desk know as the app wouldn't let me upload a picture. She wasn't very friendly and very scripted with everything and seemed bothered when I asked a question. I prefer the customer service at the Sandy Ridge location.

RYAN RStarted with the inconvenience of spending 15 minutes on the uhaul app uploading everything for a mobile pickup, only to then be required to go inside and provide them all of the same information again in person. What's the point of mobile pickup if I'm required to check in in person? I would have never downloaded the app and uploaded my personal info. The truck has an electrical/ignition issue that made the parking/running lights stay on even with the ignition and lights turned off. Took wiggling the key in the ignition and turning just right to get it "off." Luckily I caught it the first time after just 20 minutes or I would have had a dead battery to deal with on top of a furniture move. Second, the truck should come with a full tank of gas every time to make refilling it easy. Instead I was given a truck with 3/8ths gas. Worse, the floater in the fuel tank is messed up. When I went to put gas in the guage wouldn't read properly despite multiple attempts to turn the ignition into the on position. It kept showing the tank at 1/4 full. After about $70 in gas it finally shot up to 3/4 full, so now it's a 1/4 tank over what I picked it up with. Could easily be avoided with a full tank at check out. Unprofessional and crooked business practice. You owe me a $35 credit for the extra gas.

Pick up and drop off locations changed, no furniture pads, no mattress covered. Had to fight at 7am to get drop off to original location. Will re consider before using again. For 2 days at $600, if they don’t stick to the contract parameters, doesn’t seem worth it
