I have used this location in the past. When I returned the truck the location was closed but I called to ask questions about not be able to return the truck before they closed and was told not to worry. The gentlemen explained to me exactly what to do.

Strand storage center is a first class storage and U-Haul facility. Daughter was sick and I worried sick that I would not be able to get my U-Haul rental truck to get moved. The staff went out of their way to accommodate my dire situation! Can’t thank them enough. 5 stars all the way!

Of the two fellows that I dealt with, the older gentlemen with a mustache and glasses was rude and condescending to customers ahead of me. His demeanor is that of someone who is behind the desk for the paycheck. Customer service is lacking at this location. They should be dropped by Haul and let them stick to storage unit rentals. I will not go back there again (and this was my second return to this location).

Their computers were down and the man at the desk said I could just give him the key and they would check it in when the computers came back up. I refused to do that and said I wanted somebody to inspect the truck to see that it was clean and nothing was broken. Also to verify the mileage. The manager came out and inspected the truck for me and she was very nice.

Not a good location to drop off a trailer. There was no way to pull in, drop the trailer, and pull away. I had to back it in between two handicap parking spots. The trailer also did not have chocks, so I had to use random pieces of wood I found on the ground, because I could push the trailer when resting on the ground - not safe.

It was a good experience- but the rates were much higher than I originally anticipated.
It’s a huge difference from the $19.95 per day advertised price- just excessive. I felt taken advantage of and I would certainly look elsewhere next time.

My only negative is that after more than a year, and providing a 30 day notice, that we had to pay for the entire month when we vacated our 3 units on the 19th. This policy makes no sense and defies logic.
