My experience with U-Haul was if not the most stressful situation I’ve had to deal with. We rented and reserved from Riverside location because that was where we were moving from. Got a text message the day before saying I now have to go pick up my U-Haul 11 miles further away, which was already very disappointing! I called in the morning to verify that my reservation was available and they said yes at my arrival to pick up my truck, the truck was not available. It was not there. I had a call the dispatch phone number. The scheduling was trying to find me a truck and now they were trying to send me to Menifee which again originally was Riverside then had to go further to 11 miles and now sending me extra miles anyhow ended up getting a truck from the location an hour later I called the scheduling and they had told me I was going to receive a $50 refund on my credit for the inconvenience which I have not received! Upon return of the truck where I said I was going to return it at in Pomona. I was charged for going over 10 miles an extra $10, which I do not feel I should have to pay for that when it was U-Haul‘s blame for sending me an extra 11 miles from where I requested and reserve my truck from. Again this has been the most stressful most disappointing experience and I will definitely not use U-Haul again

Don’t let them make reservations if truck not available
BERNARD BMy only issue is that to get a cheaper rate I had to drive my truck an extra 5 miles, past what was alloted, to a drop off location. That was pretty messed up and very spam/scam like of U-haul.

Vincent GMy appointment was at 1pm all week and then as I was on my way to pick up the truck they called to let me know to wait until 1:45. Then a different number called me at 1:25pm asking if I still wanted the truck or if they should cancel my reservation. I was so confused but luckily everything worked out. They also charged me an extra 15 dollars for “SafeMove” after I said I did not want it, but they said U-haul automatically charges that. Inconvenient that online the truck was 64 dollars with taxes and when i actually go check my bank statement they charged me 85 dollars!!
Cindy RLocation i got it from was not open Sunday or Monday and had to keep UHaul till Tuesday and show up to work late also was waiting past 8 am and still office wasnt open luckly someine came out of storage area so i was able to park vehicle inside and had to jump fence to leave, not very efficent
