That staff member wasn't wearing their mask when I return the truck. (WA state law requires for ppl to wear masks within building). Also want to add that the older man did not keep his distance. The steering wheel was off and made it extremely difficult to drive. I would never recommend this location or it's services to anyone. *when I picked up the truck, the young lady who helped me was very helpful and kind. The attendant was the only worker onsite and was not trained to check out customers. The truck had an eighth a tank of fuel so we had to fill up before leaving. The truck door was frozen shut. The truck did not have the dolly or blankets in the back like we paid for. Luckily we were smart enough to verify before we left. We never got our blankets and the dolly they gave us had been sitting outside in the weather and was rusted. Because we had never received our blankets, we could not move a couple pieces of sensitive furniture which means we will have to rent a truck again, hopefully one from a location that prepares the truck for us before we get there. Overall, it took us an hour to get our truck and get on the road.Angela K.

It's a gas station without a drop box for after hours key return so you have to hand them to an attendant. I was told by Uhaul customer service that I had to return to this location. When I tried to do so the attendant told me I could only do it during business hours. This location advertised 24 hour returns so maybe they need to have a key box or work on educating the gas station employees about their return policy.Joseff G.

Major technical problems completing the transaction through the web app. When onsite I was forced to go into the building and work with one of their staff members; who got very confused and frustrated himself because he did not understand any of it. To add to the issues and further delay, the card reader they had on the property did not accept anything but a strip. Touchless payment is ubiquitous and especially during a pandemic, it was disturbing to see the care-free attitude throughout and how many times Uhaul forced me to put myself at risk during my entire user journey. After eventually finding a card with a strip, the delay and issues compounded because the backend systems did not associate the card I used through the web app flow and the card i used to checkout on site. In the end, we figured it out. For me, this was not worth $80+ in addition to the time that I lost having to deal with Uhaul's lack of backend system maturity and clear lack of training of onsite personnel (whoever may be accountable, that is). I've used Uhaul my entire life and I was very disappointed to have to pay for that terrible experience.Christopher L.

Check in was terrible when I returned the truck. The charges were different from what I'd agreed to so I have to call Monday to get it fixed. The person who checked me in was confrontational and made it as difficult as possible. I left feeling furious. Even worse, they were not adhering to any social distancing protocol, and nobody was wearing a mask. It felt very dangerous.Lola J.
Dolly was not present in the truck, so I had to make a return trip to get it. Front desk rep rather unpleasant during van return. She charged me a late fee for being 20 minutes late, and then she asked me if I took a photo of the odometer. I explained that my phone battery was too low to take pictures. The woman who assisted me wore a name badge that reads "manager". I did not pay attention to her name. I reserved a 10-foot truck and appliance dolly. When I arrived to pick up the truck at 9:15 am, the woman said she did not have an appliance dolly but that I could pick one up at the Renton Highlands U-haul store. She told me she called the store to inform them I was coming. When I arrived at the Renton store, the woman working there had no idea what I was talking about. She had not received a call from Sunset Mobil. The woman at Renton called the Sunset location. Finally, I got the appliance dolly. The move took longer than I planned and when I returned the truck to Sunset, the woman working there had locked the store and was outside helping a customer with LP gas. I handed her the key and said I am late, I have to go. She told me I could not leave before I signed some paperwork. If you check you records, I have rented U-haul trucks many times over the years. I have never been told I needed to sign something after returning the truck. I had no time to wait, so I left the key at the front door. At 12:01 pm I got a phone call. It was the woman from Sunset. She told me if I did not come back and sign the paperwork, she would charge me a late fee. She also told me that she had my driver's license. I dropped my helper off at his car and raced back to the Sunset Mobil. I arrived at 12:45 pm. I had to be working 15 minutes later two miles away. I went into the store and asked what I needed to sign. She said I did not need to sign anything. She asked where the appliance dolly was. I told her it was in the truck, of course. She said go get it and bring it in the store. I told her I did not have time to do that . I told her that is her job. I asked her why she did not give my license back to me. She said you left it here. I complained that I did not like her poor customer service and that she had better not charge me a late fee. I raced to work and arrived on time. I worked 3.5 hours without a break and then checked my email. The woman from Sunset had emailed me a copy of my equipment contract #23042638. I could immediately see that she had indeed overcharged me, as she said she would. I called her back at 4:43 pm. She answered "hello". I asked if this was the Mobil station. The woman uttered something and I asked if this was her personal cell phone I had called. She answered "yes". I asked her about the charges on my contract. She said she had no idea. She would have to look at it the next day when she was at work. The woman indicated that I returned the truck at 2:13 pm, which is a complete lie and I have my Skype account records to prove I was working on Skype non-stop from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm. In addition to lying about the return time and charging me double for the truck and the appliance dolly, she charged me $7.00 for a dolly I did not even rent and, on top of that, charge me an additional $7.00 late fee for the same non-existent dolly. Person checking out Uhauls couldn't help anyone and basically had a meltdown. The dolly and blankets I ordered weren't in the truck, yet I was charged for them. When I inquired about them, I received a shrug. I received a call about an hour after I picked up the UHaul stating that I didn't pick it up and that it would no longer be held.Michael P.

The van was not clean - there were pine needles and wet paper towels in the cargo area. It doesn't look like it has been cleaned at all. The gear shift made funny noise when shifting from park to reverse. The service is friendly but inefficient! It took a while to do the "paperwork" for the van ... the clerk had a hard time typing on the keyboard. I would recommend this place since it's closest but it needs to improve on the rental process AND have the vehicles in better condition.Thuong N.
The van I reserved was not available, so the staff had to call uhaul support to move the reservation to different equipment. That truck had a giant hole in its gas tank, which resulted in fuel pouring onto the ground of the station. Upon seeing this, they switched my reservation to yet another truck, which worked fine. Due to the equipment switch and things not getting entered correctly (mileage and fuel) at the time of the switch, drop off required another call to uhaul support. I feel sorry for the gas station staff who really were doing their best to fix the situation.Colin W.

The person who "helped" me at this location was the most unprofessional person i have ever dealt with. First he tried renting me a truck under a different persons name. Then he spent almost an hour cursing and yelling at his computer. He was throwing his mouse and slamming his keyboard. When i finally got my keys he blamed me for the issues and then told me "the truck is out there somewhere". I will never go back to location for anything and recommend that no one else does.Scott H.

Location and staff were very helpful. The "24/7 rental" mobile phone app was worthless. Does not work for "one-way" rentals even within the same greater metropolitan area. Does not indicate when reserving that a CREDIT CARD must be used. Accepted debit cards during the online reservation process but then had to present a credit card at pickup. Garbage app. Customer service was helpful. The last person to check the truck in used the trip meter instead of the actual odometer, so had to call and have it corrected before I left. The pick up location was fine, easy enough to get in and out with the 15ft truck. The one attendant was friendly but serving both gas station customers and uhaul customers. Check out was fast once we arrived at the counter after 30 minutes of waiting. The uhaul truck had problems as is typical of a uhaul rental. The drivers side door lock was clearly damaged/broken when we picked it up. The drivers side door leaked like crazy in a rain storm. The moms attic space had been calked poorly and water soaked many of our things. This is a typical uhaul experience.Lee E.

The process for reserving a vehicle is too cumbersome. I had to enter the same information as many as three times. I couldn't change my reservation time without calling someone. Even after going through all that it took 20 minutes once I got to the store to actually get my vehicle. I found out at the end I had purchased insurance even though I declined it multiple times. I was not informed by the agent I had insurance on my bill. The vehicle itself was nice. Just fix your process and don't try to increase your revenue by hiding costs.Doug K.

Sole service station attendant was attending to propane filling duties and we had to not only wait till he was done with his three propane customers, but an additional customer as well. After a long day of moving, it would've been nice to be able to get in and get out much smoother. I was so disappointed with this rental-not the location but the total rental/online reservation experience. The rental location was excellent and the customer service was great but their hands were tied. I rented a truck for $55.00 and when I picked the truck up and due to the way your website is set up to allow rental for any vehicle but the supply at the locations are limited and may not even have that particular truck which was my case. I was so unhappy at the fact that my rental was initially $55.00 but I ended up paying $135.00 which is a major difference - and if I was not pressed for time I would have cancelled and went to Budget or Enterprise rental. I would like to have the difference of the $135.00 and $55.00 refunded to me as this was my original pricing. I have rented many times in the past and referred friends and have never experienced this before. Again, I would love to have the difference reimbursed to me.DAWN T.

The location was fine. The problem was the last minute location change by U-haul that forced me to drive three times as far to pick up the truck and thus pay three times as much in mileage fees. The fact that I had to call to be compensated for this change is frustrating - you have a guarantee, if it can't be met you should own up to it and immediately credit people's accounts.Patrick P.
