This location doesn't have any assistance to help us get the equipment/hook up and really didn't have any people skills for customers. I felt like a confused person with no documentation of my order and was not given any discount for my order since it was a large amount for a trailer ????? I feel I should have gotten a truck for that amount.Jerry Z.
The trailer was dirty when I got it. Gas wasn't filled when I had it so I ended up putting more money in gas than I needed to. I got charged an extra $54 dollars for something that I would like to know why. I have pictures of the trailer when I got it. I got there at 8 am to pick it up and no one was there to give me the keys. All around bad experience and if I don't find out why I got charged $54 dollars I will be in contact with my lawyer.Austin S.

Had reserved moving blankets and furniture dolly. Neither available. Lights on trailer didn't work and UHaul rep said it was all hooked up correctly so nothing he could do. I required him to re-do hook up, and then the lights worked. It's clear that personnel at this location primary focus/function is managing the Super 8 motel.Ken R.
Hotel manager was rude. Would not assist in getting the car loaded onto the transport. Didn't have the equipment to move the transport to the UHaul truck and refused to help relocate the truck to connect to the transport. Manager did not speak enough English to deal with the transaction.wally S.

I had ordered 6 furniture blankets. Unfortunately, they had none and I had to scramble. It was on my order place weeks in advance. Wasn't informed until I picked up the trailer.Darren R.

Allow extra time and be prepared to clean your own truck. Took over 40 minutes to check out and this was only accomplished when I asked the operator to call corporate.Patrick F.
Check the equipment before set up pick up time and make repair. There were holes covered by duck tape along with visible cracks across the entire wheel well fender. The passenger tail light was nonexistent. No bulb, light cover or anything besides wires before I picked it up. The uhaul agent didnt have any idea about it until we went to hook it up. Huge in convenience. They had me have to go through roadside to attempt fix the tail light. Had to wait over an hour for them to show up and when they did they didnt have any tools or parts to fix it because of the lack of communication and the time of night. Nothing was fixed and informed roadside when they called me back and said it would be at least another 3 hour wait to even attempt to get another person out there to fix it and even then couldn't guarantee that they would fix it, which would've been 3 a.m. Had to drive back from SD to Iowa first thing in the morning without a passenger tail light on the towe dolly with the car I was hauling back. The driver's side ratchet strap also came completely off the tire by Estherville, IA when I know for certain everything was loaded and ratcheted down properly. I personally double checked both ratchet and made sure they were both as tight as possible before I left Sioux Falls. Overall lacked attention to detail and making sure it was in functional condition to operate and be used by rental customer without having to worry about getting pulled over for a broken tail light. I made the reservation several days before I picked it up so there is no excuse. I already had to drive 40 minutes out of my way both ways because the original location in Sioux Falls didnt have the towe dolly that I prepared for online.Fritz G.

No one knew what they were doing. 3 guys behind the desk and another on the phone trying figure out how to do a drop off. After all was done (1.5 hrs. later), I had to park the truck for them at the end of their parking lot. I will never use this location again!Darren R.

I've dropped off trailers twice at the Beresford, South Dakota location. Each time the individual who accepted receipt of the trailer and furniture mats did nothing to verify it's condition or whether the rented mats were included inside, nor did he even offer to help remove the trailer from the truck hitch. He did computer work and told me when he was finished that documents would be received via email. While the location is good to get to and easy to park in, the individual's courtesy and performance are extremely lacking. I only continue to use this location because it is the closest drop-off location to where I'm moving.Joseph P.

After waiting for someone to come to the desk, he punched buttons on the computer, told us we were good to go, and to just drop the trailer on the side of the motel. He did not intend to come and inspect the unit. After some discussion, he agreed to look at the unit, verify the pads were in the trailer, and ensure that all was correct. He could not have cared less and it felt like I was intruding on his day.Michael K.
Today I got an email billing my credit card saying that I did not return the uhaul until July 20. I returned the uhaul on July 17, a day before I had to. Please have my credit card credited for the past due balance. We ended up having to return this to South Dakota, when I our contract said Sioux Center, Iowa. We had to go way out of our way to return it to where the lady on the phone told us to, and the guy still couldn't check it in correctly.COLLEEN W.
The person at this location did nothing once I arrived to drop off the trailer. He did not take a look at the trailer to confirm the condition of the trailer and the mats included inside. He did not offer nor did he help unhook the trailer. He said a receipt would be emailed to me but never offered to go ahead and print it out. I cannot recommend dealing with this person.Joseph P.

Was very displeased that I was notified the day before my long move that a Uhaul was not available at the location I requested. I had made the reservation at least a month in advance so something should have been available at my location. I am fortunate that one was available at this location so it didn't take too much time out of the way to get it. I just recommend that if a reservation is made at a certain location that there had better be a truck there to use.Courtney S.
I reserved a 26 foot and was told there was none available and all they had was a 20 foot no problem I'll take that. I got there and had to wait 30 mins for the guy to show up that knows how to Bill it. I was asked how many miles round trip I told him 75 miles and he billed me for 100 miles... I reserved a small dolly and asked about it and they said I wasn't billed. On the bill you can see it says utility dolly. I asked again and he said all he has is an appliance one and if I wanted that I would have to pay more. Strange I have to pay more for something I reserved and they don't have any in working order. Nope not happening. The guy was in a hurry and said I have to return the truck with a half tank of fuel. No problem... when I told him that the truck wasn't at a half tank he argued with me and said it was. I quit arguing with him because I was now running out of time since I only booked it for half a day and I didn't want to spend all my time arguing with someone who barely knows English. Very disappointed with this location and would never recommend this location to anyone. I have used several locations in the past and this was by far the worst experience I have ever had. I may look into using a different company altogether.Caleb G.
Process of getting rental with move of our pickup location from Brandon to Beresford with very inconvenient. Customer service from rep level up to supervisor was terrible. I was disconnected and had to explain situation multiple times. I will likely look for other options in the future as I have had 2 bad experiences since May of 2017.craig R.

Convenience was the main reason I used this location. I was greeted by a very friendly woman, but the man who did the paperwork was all business. I was handed my paperwork and told I was good to go. I was able to discern which trailer was mine (still hooked to a rental truck) and swap it on to my vehicle with no issues, but it would be nice in the future if they offered assistance or at least walked out to make sure you get the right equipment.MICHELLE W.
The truck had a oil leak by the differential that I was not told about. When I asked if tire pressures and fluid levels had been checked, I was told they were supposed to be, but this site is a motel with no service capabilities.dennis S.
Well, truth in advertising would help. I expected a 15 foot box, but when I got it, found out that the bed was 13 feet in length, with 2 feet over the cab. that is not conducive to putting a sofa over the cab as there was not eno9ugh space. Also, I had reserved the truck one week in advance and was told by the vendor that the truck would be there on Friday so we could move. When I came in a day early because of the weather forecast and asked if I could pick it up earlier, was told that the truck would not be available, and that I as a customer would have to go to Beresford, SD to pick it up because the vendor said that he would not get paid adequately. that is not my problem, but made for a disappointing experience with U haul. when I was contacted by U-Haul customer service, I asked if there was a truck available in Cherokee, or Spencer, or Sheldon, all closer to Paullina, IA, and was told that the only one was in Beresford, SD. I needed the truck because I needed to transport a piano. In the future, do not have the local vendor try to talk a customer out of a size of a truck/trailer to use, because of pricing. Also, found that it was not very professional for vendor to trash the company, due to what they get or don't get for commissions. This does not reflect the vendor in Beresford, SD. She was frustrated with the lack of speed on the internet connections. that is a separate issue. She was professional and courteous. The issues described reflect the vendor in orange city.Gene V.

It was really hard to understand the people I had to speak too, there was a lot of errors happening, and for whatever reason he didn't seem to be able to pull up any of my stuff. NOT to mention it took almost an hour after my asked pick up time to actually receive the u-haul itself.Danika T.
