The U-Haul app was simple to use, as I did all the navigation for completion on my own. The lady at the desk was friendly.

Not a true location, part of a hotel. Could not do a pick-up without going in first. Equipment not assigned. Nice lady at the desk had no idea where the key was. She had to call a manager.

The clerk that checked me out was as helpful as he could be, but he clearly was a hotel employee and knew little about UHaul. He spent the entire process on the phone speaking with someone to complete the business of getting the trailer leased to me.

JAMES WI reserved a truck in scottsville and went to pick it up and finally figured out the app and a truck wasn’t assigned. If it wasn’t available I feel like I should have be notified before I went to pick it up. Then I had to get one 29+ miles away and it cost me more. Horrible experience. I have used U-Haul multiple times and never had issues until this time. Before if something happened like this, I would have been charged the local rate or been given a credit for mileage.
Cynthia CThere is likely criminal activity taking place at this hotel drop off location, twice we have dropped of trucks here, and when you pull around the back of the hotel parking lot, gathered people start to scatter. Additionally, the proprietors tried to scam us and with a very large fraudulent charge several days after the drop off thinking we would not check the updated invoice. U-Haul is ruining their reputation using this Super 8 hotel as a drop-off location.

Jana KThe trailer was filthy when we picked it up. It needed to be hosed out. And the employee working did not seem to understand basic trailering and braking concepts. He provided misinformation, but luckily we were knowledgeable in trailering.

KATHY TThis location was back behind a hotel and I was to leave the keys with the front desk. Make sure you lock it all up before you leave it there and ensure your dollies are in the back where they can be seen by the UHaul management.
kerry hCalled could not find location. Staff couldn’t even tell me where they were. Signage was not visible. On phone over 15 minutes finally they say oh, we’re inside the Super 8. Why couldn’t they start off with that?!?! I’m lookin gif a uhaul store not a motel. Awful experience all around.

Chelsea CMotel that appeared to be operating as a motel. There wasn’t anyone to help with drop off. Only instructions where to leave trailer. Wasn’t any receipt for the drop off nor anyone to inspect or help disconnect. Wasn’t a problem for me but could be for some. Desk clerk was fine, and courteous.

He had me write down my name, my phone number and that the dolley was in the back of the truck. I didn’t feel comfortable not having paperwork saying I had returned it from a liability stand point

William CThere was no dolly and whoever had the truck before me had smoked like a chimney in there. The man who rented me my uhaul was very nice and cared about what he was doing. Service great, truck condition and equipment was lacking.
Justin GAlthough I used the mobile option to check in, it required a phone call for approval and a wait to get the key. The staff at the location seemed unfamiliar with the process. The process of getting the key to the U-Haul was quite unpleasant from the phone call, the waiting, and having to work to get attention from the staff behind the counter who was watching a movie on her phone.

Shenica BThey never talked us through anything, gave us the keys and told us to find the truck, said my card would t work and once I fixed it, they gave us an extra day and money off, when we went to go drop off, we were charged an extra $154 after we were told that there were no extra charges.
Brittany FVery friendly. The person at the desk took a note on my issue with the inside of the cab and the cigarette smoke. There were no clear instructions on where to drop the key. Another person picking up a rental told me to go to the hotel lobby for that purpose.
James MThe manager was nice and checking us out but it was not easily visible and there were no signs indicating a U-Haul pickup location so we were incredibly lost trying to find this place. he also checked me in at the wrong time which screwed up my drop off time.
Brittany POwner called me 4 hours after trailer drop off and told me that he was charging me a clean up fee because I did not fold the blankets I rented from U-Haul. When I explained I was never informed or contractually obligated to fold the blankets, the owner (Super 8 hotel personnel) became aggressive and rude towards me and said it was not his problem and charged me anyway. I am highly dissatisfied with this experience and will likely never rent from U-Haul again, or recommend renting from U-Haul to anyone I know.
