I am extremely dissatisfied with the service I received during my recent U-Haul rental. The experience was frustrating, very unprofessional, and far below the standard I expected for U-Haul rentals. Here are the key issues I encountered: Return of vehicle: The staff was unhelpful and dismissive when I asked for an explanation about additional charges when I returned. No contract was received or explained during the rental process. It was sent to me via email once I was off the property with the vehicle. When I picked up the rental, I paid $110.22 (Rental and 50 miles of travel at .99 per mile. When I started the vehicle, the fuel gauge was a little above the first line with 126 miles to empty. I drove the vehicle approximately 40 miles or a little more and returned it after I returned the fuel level to its initial level, which gave the vehicle 130 miles to empty, and once I returned the vehicle read 128 miles to empty. The employee stated the vehicle fuel was not correct and wanted to charge me an additional $70 +. The manager was retrieved, and she was extremely rude even after I showed her the picture of the fuel before I left the location. As a business professional, I would pull any contract you have with this business and refuse to let my product be distributed from this place. This "hotel" is well known for gambling, drug usage, and prostitution. A simple open records request with the Milledgeville Police Department will solidify your decision to stay away. The only reason I used this business is that it's close to my home, it was raining, and I needed a covered transportation method to protect my daughter's property. Not only did this cause significant inconvenience, but it also disrupted my moving plans and added unnecessary stress. I feel that as a paying customer, I deserved better communication, accountability, and customer service. I’m requesting a formal response and appropriate resolution (e.g., refund, credit, or acknowledgment of the service failure). I hope U-Haul takes this feedback seriously to improve future customer experiences.

The check-in process requires a lot of work for the customer. There appears to be no discounts for customers that do the self pick up and the self drop off. Your software is slow. During the pick up, I lost connection several times. During the drop off, it was slow and at times I wasn’t sure that it was even responding. Additionally, the survey is asking if people at the drop off were helpful. It’s a drop off location that’s on demand so my only answer is no because there’s no one there.

Andre HHotel was run down and the Uhaul representative was aware. The Uhaul was supposed to have a dolly but did not. Self check in with the Uhaul was extremely difficult. Was on and off the phone with different Uhaul representatives for a little over an hour. Had to cancel existing reservation and create a new one since it took so long to get everything in order after I had already made a reservation earlier. Truck was clean but alignment seemed like it needed to be serviced. Trucks abs and tcs went in and out throughout the trip. Maybe improve on truck services and customer service. Rough trip/move due to so many hiccups. I am still thankful overall but not looking forward to my next move.
Nicholas RThe uhaul mileage and gas was at a very different level than what was in the app. Even after calling customer service immediately to provide photos of the difference I was still charged an additional $360. Once I called again they finally fixed the situation however it will take up to 5 days for the money to be returned. Very disappointing.

We had set to pick up at Milledgeville Self Storage 145 Roberson Mill Rd Milledgeville, GA 31061 but when we arrived there was no Uhauls on the property and no person to talk to. Spent time to call customer service and they then transfered me to scheduling, the transfer dropped so had to call again. They sent us to the Super Inn location. Truck was nice and clean. They pick up and drop off went smoothly. Also didn't know I needed to download a app to pick up if there's no person onsite, very annoying. Lost time, in their mix up. Wish Milledgeville had other options but theres only Uhaul.
Jennifer CThe front desk agent at the motel that assisted me was wonderful! I needed to make last minute reservation changes and she was very patient with me. I did not like that I had to call uhaul phone support to get all what I needed changed, but that was not the front desk agent's fault and simply due to the motel's limited system/services onsite. I give 5 stars to the woman that assisted me onsite, however, the fleet available, the poor information on the uhaul website that led me to believe the initial truck I ordered was bigger, and how time consuming it was to change my order, I give 3 stars to this dealer.
Whitney SEverything about this facility is a rip off down to customer service, them taking your money, down to the beat up truck that has no ac in it messed up life gate and driver door. They took $55 from me saying that the 37 miles that I drove uses half of a tank. When I received the truck it was on half a tank and when I took it back that’s where it was and now they saying they can’t refund me because I didn’t have pictures. It’s common sense….DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY…DO NOT RECOMMEND
Nasheka FThe facility is a run down dive motel. As for the truck, Driver door was hard to open and pops when doing so. Paperwork said full tank of gas but only had half a tank. The steering was loose. I recommend retiring that truck. The person that was there when we picked it up was not friendly nor helpful. The check in person was nice and attentive.
David SThe attendant did not know what she was doing. We had reserved for 2 dozen blankets and an appliance dolly and a regular one and none were at our pickup location. She then advised us that the original location where we were supposed to pickup the truck had the supplies. We drove 30 minutes only to be told that they did not have any of our supplies thus wasting an hour of our time on moving day.

shantella bOverall I had no problem with the U-Haul just had an issue cause the worker at this location who did the agreement didn’t do her job right and it cause a delay when returning the truck. But once we called customer service he quickly fix the problem for us. So what you can do to improve is make sure the workers are knowledgeable and doing the job the right way.

I had to drive 50 miles to get a trailer. when I got to that location uhaul computer system was down which they had no backup for. I had to wait two hours before I could get the trailer. It was a very bad experience.

David MNo one to help with dropping trailer. Space for drop was on a hill with no chocks to secure wheels, had to finds loose rocks to put behind wheels and use my truck jack to lift trailer from hitch. I have filed complaint with uhaul.
rick jOnce I was on the premises to pick up the U-Haul trailer. There was no one there that could help me the young man that was there was in training. Once someone got there she filled out all the information kept asking me the same information that was on the computer and she added things to my bill that I hadn’t requested on my order. They added insurance and I added some other thing that I did not request. I was so frustrated and I didn’t get a receipt. Looked at my banking account to find that I’d been charged $30.00 more then I should have. Once I got to the Brunswick location asked them for a receipt to see what I’d been charged for.

Bradley MThe located staff knew what they were doing, however, the truck was infested with roaches. We couldn’t use it for obvious reasons. I drove the truck 4 miles and waited for the uhaul moving helpers never showed up so had to find new movers. Took a long time! I still got charged $56 for the roach infested truck which I do not think is reasonable. I’d like a refund.

Noted (2) different tires on trailer although both rated the same, as the radial tire bulged more than the other and the wheel was extremely rusted. Also the chain for the hook on the loading gate on the right side was broken.

I requested moving blankets with my order, upon picking the truck up they informed me there were none. They didn't give me any advance notice or provide any assistance to track any down. This caused a already late delay to moving. I had to pay the movers (who showed up on time) an extra hour because of being late to checkin and having no blankets.

They lady didn't even know what she was doing and then kept saying the system was down and if she called to check my reservation it would be a 2 hour wait. So basically, they try to make you wait so you will gamble and drink.

Denis HThis location said the trailer I dropped off 2 weeks ago was not there and was never dropped off. I called the local police to file a stolen Tralee report and the politics found the trailer in the parking lot. Worst experience of my life, more than 2 hours of my time wasted dealing with this incompetent horrible location.

When I asked for help the people at the location just shrugged their shoulders and said they could not help me. Also I reserved an appliance dolly but when I showed up I was told they don’t rent those. Overall terrible experience

Carlos RI had a reservation at 1 location for 8am. I showed up at 8am to get the truck and was informed that I needed to go to another location and pick my truck up. I call and spoke to the scheduling manager and she said my scheduled pick up time was 12:00pm. I have screen shots of the original reservation showing 8am. When I clicked on my new reservation it was showing 12:00pm. I did not change my reservation, Uhaul changed my time without my knowledge. The scheduling manager said that they overbooked and had to move someone. I had paying help ready at 8am to work. She stated she would have the Area Manager give me a call and I have not heard anything and it is 3 days after the incident occurred.
ricky wIn this town, not much to choose from so I'd have not alternative but to recommend. I had to deal with the hotel counter employee who had hotel guests to wait on. I also had to go to multiple places to park the trailer and disconnect it myself. This is after looking around the parking area for chocks in order to do so.

JOHN AThis is an old run down hotel. The exterior of the location is unkept with overgrown grass/weeds all over. The interior of the location was not any better. It reminded me of an old diner, but it looks like something from the 70s. It smelled pretty badly. I did the mobile pick up but still had to go in and wait to get the key while a new employee of the hotel was having her documents collected. The employee who finally assisted me seemed unfamiliar with the process mobile pick up process. The equipment itself from this location was dirty inside. There was dried mud/dirt on the floor, the console looked like someone spilled a milk shake and there was a receipt from someone having taken the rental truck to the lake! The fuel level was not accurate and the pictures provided were from somewhere in a garage so I took my own pictures and used those.
