"The change oil level" message on the dashboard was disturbing. I was worried that I may be responsible if the message were to change while driving to change oil now. The cabin smelled of cigarette smoke. I will say the the cargo van "got the job done" and I am grateful for that. I do appreciate the service that U-Haul does provide. I am grateful for that too.

Vehicle had plaster on the seats and chunks of plaster in the cargo area that had to be swept out before loading furniture, The employees at the store where nice but your return procedure to a site with humans available is cumbersome and time consuming
james dI had documented before and after where the gas level was and the guy still charged me extra for “not putting gas in it”. Despite me showing the gentleman my time stamped transaction showing that I had purchased gas directly across the street, he was still combative that I didn’t put any gas in it. I made sure to put a little extra (truck was at 5/8 at pickup, 3/4 when I returned it. I Will not be going back. The cab of the truck was disgusting and covered in leaves, chips, and discarded latex gloves. Also smelled of cigarette smoke and body odor. Worst experience I’ve ever had with a U-Haul.
ERIC FAnother sketchy smoke shop drop off location. And this wasn’t even my choice - I wanted a location closer to my end point. But again after letting me select the drop off location when I made the reservation, the day after picking it up I had to confirm the date and time of drop off and then required to pick another location 10 miles further than what I selected. Probably so they could charge me for some more miles. The truck itself was good and I like all the labels and information inside the cab. I don’t like making a reservation on their website and then having it changed. If I could find another rental company I would try them.
David SVan smelled funny when rented. Also impossible to get a hold of the store for the rental to extend or ask questions. Contract stayed active days after return as well.

jason cThis was the first time booking online and using the mobile app option and it was OK. The online option didn't allow for me to add a second driver however I called customer service and was provided a link for adding a second driver, it was concluded very quickly. Their customer service was great! The pickup process not so much. I incorrectly assumed that the mobile option would be efficient however I suppose the best I can say is that it allows for more pickup/drop-off locations. It's definitely not faster than going to a full-service U-Haul location. First of all, the area we happened to pick didn't have great cell service, so the app performance was lagging and easily a third of our time was spent waiting for the app to update to complete the pickup process. Secondly, the furniture pads we requested were not ready and since this location is a convenient store the U-Haul computer wasn't on, so we had to wait for the computer to come on-line, then wait for them to collect the furniture pads. Third, they couldn't find the truck keys, so we lost another ten minutes while they searched for them - they were in the drop box. Finally, we couldn't find the truck, it was behind the store rather than parked with the other U-Haul trucks in front. The truck itself was fine and operated well. - - The drop-off went more smoothly and from arrival to departure I think took ten minutes, much better! Not sure if I would go back to this location, the clerk was friendly enough and it was conveniently located, so maybe but my expectations for how long it will take are appropriately adjusted, at least 30 minutes.
Janice VIt was kind of fun to go in a smoke shop and see all the weird things they have.
Laurie DIt took almost a half hour for the person in the smoke shop to figure out how to get me the truck, when I had originally rented from a different location that would have allowed pickup via the app. The smoke shop is honestly creepy and not a fun place for a solo woman to hang out while waiting. I left there stressed and creeped out.

sharif kEnvironmental fee was not mention during booking. After speaking to a customer service representative and hearing that it can be up to five dollars charge depending the vehicle, it should definitely be mentioned at time of reservation. This location created a whole new reservation for me so I felt as if I was being scammed since fee wasn’t mentioned during my booking. Van warnings came on for service air bag and. low tires.

PATRICK DWorker was not familiar with the procedure and it was very slow. I also believe I was overcharged and need to go back to fix this. The experience at the main UHaul location has been better in the past.
