Perform a more thorough vehicle check. The tire low air pressure indicator came on and while it was not a problem, it should have been caught and addressed prior to the rental..

WE oreder a uhaul for a 4pm pick up, at 3:45 the manager called to inform s that it is not at this location, and informed us that we would need to go to a further location, which was a massive inconvenience. On top of that, they did not have the furniture dolly that we requested, simply stating " oh I dont have that." I am moving and needed that dolly pretty badly. We still have not received a receipt for out order, and he charged us for the dolly, and insurance which we did not need. Overall a very frustrating experience, and poorly managed. I will not be using this location in the future.

My family has utilized U-Haul many times through the years and as recently as 2 weeks prior to this current use. My issue with U-Haul is always the customer service. It was our first time using the location in Metuchen, NJ. The experience was by far better than any other location I've ever used. The customer service was above reproach and the speed of getting in and out on the front and back end of the rental was unmatched. I will try to rent from this location whenever I need a U-Haul in the future.

The pick up process took around 45 minutes. The app kept saying it couldn't determine my location. I called uhaul several times with long wait so I called in Spanish, thankfully I'm bilingual and the rep was very nice and helpful. She explained I needed to allow the location not just from Safari but also the app itself. All else was great just the pick up due to app issues.

warm day and staff was very helpful and courteous. However, they should be wearing a mask as the location is indoors due to the novel coronavirus.

Personnel didnt wear masks. Personnel couldn't use my pre-check in either. I had to do the check in again..inside. They couldn't provide the equipment I had requested. I rented an Appliance Dolly that they couldn't give me. They had no U-Haul dolly to provide in fact! The Van I was renting was never cleaned. UHaul advertises CoVid 19 clean up between users. Nothing was done to my van. This was admitted by the agent. He went to the van to see if the dolly was still in the van...cause in his words "it hasn't been touched since it was dropped off." It had coffee spills on the dash. Dirt and business fliers in the back. U-Haul turned around and has tried to charge me for the Dolly and for a cleaning!

The dash has white stains on it and the cup holder area was filled with crumbs- very easy process to rent the vehicle and the shop owner was great just the car wasn't clean when we got in

Overall the online interface felt very disconnected both during renting and returning the trailer. The online process had multiple independent links coming to me as text messages and never felt well connected from the uhaul main site. The user experience was very poor. Things should feel flowing continuously from renting to return process, all through one main site uhaul.com

The van I picked up had several large cracks in the windshield that actually grew as the day went on. Additionally, when I made the reservation I estimated that I would be driving 100 miles. I did not drive that many miles but was charged for 100 miles nevertheless. Even as I am typing this, I am on hold waiting for customer service and have been for 15 minutes. It's pretty clear that no one will pick up this line. I will be discussing my dissatisfaction on social media.

Very flexible and helpful in a pinch. I had a rental van pick-up scheduled at the Edison location for 8 am. I received a message that they facility would not open until 9 am. The time was now 8:10. I was then sent to the Metuchen location as they were already open and had a van available. All went very smooth for short notice. I am very grateful for the flexibility and hospitality. Thank you very much!

Serious problems with the attendant. Very very rude to the point I think he had a mental problem. I did NOT provoke him at all but he had a very abusive attitude. NEVER again.

They were too busy to give me proper attention. I asked not to be charged for insurance, but I was any way. I was told it was removed from my credit card, but it was not. Very sloppy and dishonest service.

UHAUL is a rip off. You state it is $19.95 for 4 hours and I end up paying $112.42 for 4 hours with a mileage of 40 miles only. I have rented Uhaul many times but never get any concession like I always do from Ryders. Uhaul service is not customer friendly at all. I will never rent Uhaul ever again.

Paperwork was completed quickly...I have no complaints whatsoever, we were in and out of there in less than ten minutes. If you're a car buff, you'll enjoy coming to this location.

That was the worst experience I had. I ordered online the 8'x5'open trailer, they gave me 9'x5' there wouldn't be problem with that exept that was 4'3" wide which is not what suppose to be (5feet) when I call uhaul Marry cancel my order and want me to drive extra 20 miles to get the same one or bigger for extra money.no experience whatsoever. I ORDERED ONLINE AND PREPAID $29, she cancel my order and then reorder paying $3 more because somebody made some mistake..... Not recomended....bad experience bad business filling people with sizes

I cannot believe U-haul would tarnish their excellent reputation by allowing this facility to represent them. It was the dirtiest, most disgusting establishment I have ever had to deal with. The personnel were very unprofessional and not very helpful. The language of the employees walking around was terrible. My wife and daughter would not even get out of my truck, and kept the doors locked. The trailer that I rented was in good shape, but the interior you could tell had been used to haul auto parts, as it not only smelled of gear oil but had it smeared all over the floor. I had to clean this up before I could load anything into it. Very dissatisfied to say the least.

The staff at this location did not know how to process the reservation. It's located in a car lot where most of the cars don't even run, with two small shacks on site as their office. It would not be a safe or comfortable place for many customers. The trucks are parked in red mud. We had to wait at least an hour to get the truck; we would not have waited there except we had already been to another U-Haul location where they were unable to fill our reservation.

Location was not clean and inviting. The man was nice, but not very efficient. The lot was extremely muddy, and it took 45 minutes to check in and then another 30 minutes for the guy to get the trailer out of the mud and pull it up.

Staff were very nice and accommodating. It was the physical location that was terrible. The location was a gravel lot surrounded by barbed wire fence, the trucks were parked in a muddy lot, there was wreckage and junk all around the lot. The office was a shed with no heat and a door that wouldn't close. It felt like a scene from Mad Max. Even though I liked the people, I'll never go back to that location or recommend it to anyone. I expect the location to be paved, and for the building and surroundings to be professional.

The return location was especially unappealing when we returned the trailer due to standing water and mud from the melting snow. In fact, the schools were closed and the U-Haul shack, which was on a used car lot, was closed. A car salesman called the U-Haul man who showed up in 15 minutes. Although the computer also seemed to have taken the day off (the heat in the shack was off), the man eventually coerced it into recognizing me and the fact that I had returned everything in good condition. He was quite pleasant to deal with during the whole return process. The only part of the experience that I would change would be to have a maintenance check of the trailer before it was rented. Even though the problems I fixed were very minor for me, they could have caused problems for other renters.
