MICHAEL KWhen we got there, the van had an engine light on, and the man that gave it to us said “it happens from time to time just turn it off and on and it’ll go away” that is very sketchy. Imagine if another family that rents it doesn’t notice and then when they come to bring it back the engine light is on? They’ll be at fault for that. SMH. Also the reservation I made on the app was for the car to be back at 3 and the lady at the counter changed it to 1 that’s not what me and my husband wanted. And in the contract she charged us for a full day even though we only used it for 4 hours. Very unfair.
BENJAMIN DThe place is a hoarders heaven. There is so much junk inside the store location. It has one path to get through. I needed 4 wheel drive to get the dirty trailer out from the back when there was a clean one up front. Feel free to call me about our experience. Hooking chains up illegally, twisting them for brakes. Total shit show.

EDWARD BThe price was ridiculous. I was quoted one price in writing, told another price, used the truck for a fraction of the mileage AND time and paid MORE than the original quote. For 60 miles and 2 hours I paid more than I would have if I used it for 7 hours and 100 miles. $123 for a $19.95 van????? THEN the person I spoke with was condescending and rude asking if I knew what a written contract was. I am 54 years old, yes I do. But I also tried to explain that I was verbally told something else. He would not help, and honestly, I believe you owe me another 40 miles and 5 hours because then it would have been cheaper for me.

William PVery nice, helpful people. Customer service was excellent, from initial hookup to return. Easy to get on and off of I-93.
William CI made a reservation for an 8' bed pickup truck. The proprietor told me I couldn't put anything in the bed of the truck and would need to upgrade to a box truck or would have to rent a trailer at an additional cost. It was only an additional $25, but it felt like extortion nonetheless. I told them I couldn't drive a box truck. I told them I had no space for the trailer. I told them I only needed to move a small appliance, but they insisted. They brought in a large man from the back, (another employee?) to intimidate me I suppose, and they both insisted that the pickup truck bed could not be used. I was just trying to help my Mother. My father died last month and she needed a temporary heater in her home quickly. I didn't have time to negotiate and plead with the proprietor, so I reluctantly accepted the additional cost. I feel like they knew it was the end of the day and that I had no choice, so they tried to get more money out of me. The stress of the situation was unnecessary. I felt like I needed to shower after dealing with these people and would never go back to TAV electronics if my life depended on it. Thank you.
Andrew CRight side tire blew out on highway. Appeared due to dry rot due to complete delamination of treads from middle. The dry rot may have been able to have been caught with inspection beforehand. Pick up location made 3 critical recommendations, all vital to success of my trip: (1) Place plastic tarp in bottom of trailer to protect from wetness from below [tarp was soaked on the bottom at my destination], (2) Back up against a solid object or curb to apply pressure on hitch to prevent trailer theft when stopped for the night [easy to do and great peace of mind], and (3) Take the $8 roadside assistance insurance [assured response when tire blew out].
WALTER WTalk about Sticklers for every detail, so it takes longer than any Uhaul you will go to on the Planet But if you don't know much about towing etc, this is the place to go. They will make sure everything is OK to go, They check the equipment out for you, make sure your car is worthy, every detail, insurance coverage They will tell you thing that no other place will ever tell you I have driven over 1.5 million miles towing a ton of Trailers from uhaul, Boats etc.
HERBERT DTAV was very good, service and quality. The only issues I had were with the Uhaul website. I ordered my uhaul pick up truck and trailer online, i added an appliance dolly as well. When i viewed my order confirmation in my email I saw an additional dolly and 12 blankets were in my receipt. I did not click to add those. When I called to correct it and save them from putting it in my rented vehicle they updated my order and were very friendly and helpful. After I arrived for pick up, I discovered that somehow I also had an order with a bunch of boxes and things also. I am very computer literate and work in programs all day every day. I think the Uhaul website needs to be updated to be much clearer as to what you are ordering. And things should not be prechecked off for purchase. These people had to correct this part of my order and move several boxes for nothing in and out of a rented truck. They were very gracious and pleasant though and got it all straightened out for me. Thank you TAV - Uhaul-fix your website!
JUDY RThe truck itself was clean and ran well. However, the location was less than welcoming. The store is also an electronic store and has stuff piled to the ceiling. Its a giant mess and very hectic. Also, I rented the truck (a van) online and when I got there it was not ready so I had to rent a box truck, which cost me more money per mile resulting in over $100 more for the day. The clerk was very professional and did a good job leading me through the process. Can someone please contact me regarding the extra expense?
RODNEY VThe owners were very curt and rude and equipment was not what I had reserved oh two seperate days. On day 2 they forced me to get a larger truck which wasn’t what I had wanted and in the end cost me more money

WENDELL SI don’t know how U-Haul stays in business. They can’t guarantee you anything. They call you at the last minute and change your location for pick up to an hour away my local U-Haul don’t know how they are still open in Moultonboro the kid with his feet on a table couldn’t answer any of my questions and just talked about how he liked working at Penske better but came back to U-Haul. I don’t know why Would never use it again if I didn’t have to
