The Uhaul I ordered was not available for me move, I asked for the correct one upon my check out but was told I didn't order a Uhaul with a ramp, I had to move a refrigerator and a washer and dryer, I wouldn't try this move without a ramp. The agent told me he had a bigger Uhaul ( I ordered the 14ft truck online) but it was reserved. I had to make multiple trips and used more miles because I was given the correct truck. Overall it was my first bad experience with Uhaul.Akil A.

No room to park trucks after hours. Location difficultAdib T.
The receptionist asks the mechanic shop staff to the rental trailer and they talk back to him that it's not our job. I was witnessing the argument that was of course wasting my time. The mechanic shop garage is always blocked with an abandoned car and you'd need to park your car on the sidewalk to go inside and find someone to open the path. The Uhaul job is their side business and they can't handle it well.Soheil N.

I was very appreciative of the fact that the man let us get a truck last minute. However I paid in advance for gas, mileage, and the truck. I get that if I went over the miles I would have to pay more. But, they tried charging me double once I was done. No one called to explain it. I just received a charge for it. I felt taken advantage of having to purchase an adaptor and a hitch to use the equipment. That should be additional rental options to go with the tow dolly. I feel basically cheated out of an additional $51 and left with equipment I don't need nor can use.Leo R.

First off, your on the phone employees need to be educated on when companies open their doors so you are not booking people when facilities are not open. Second, notifications would be nice when the location has changed. I received the first change from your Lincoln facility in Escondido to Via Vera Cruz in San Marcos but not one for the change to E Vista way in vista. On top of that, there wasn't even a truck for us in the first place when I called the 800 number. Sending us all over the place and not getting our truck till 830-845ish when our pick up was at 7am. Further, we then had to completely rush our process, over working ourselves, because since they didn't have a truck, even though I pre paid for one and got confirmed that it was locked in, we only had until 4:45pm instead of our regular time. Moving is already stressful it was made even more stressful with this. I hope no one else has to deal with this crapDEAN W.

Pickup and drop off was okay, lot is a little small but workable. The whole "fill the tank to where it was when you got it" is a shitty policy, just go back to full tank required on return, but that's probably on U-Haul not the location.Timothy M.

Overall, I did not have a good experience with U-Haul. We were notified the day before our pick up that we would need to pick up at another location, an hour away. I booked this reservation a month in advance to ensure availability, so it was very frustrating being told that my equipment would not be available at my preferred location on the day before a cross-country move. After several phone calls back and forth, we were told we could pick up at this location. When we arrived, one of the tires on the trailer was flat. They decided to patch it, which I had concerns about since again, this was a cross-country move, but they told me it would be fine. Waiting for the tire repair set us back about 3 hours. After finally getting the trailer home and loading it with our belongings, we set off on our drive and got about 1 mile down the road before the tire blew. We spent another 3 hours waiting for roadside assistance. Meanwhile, U-Haul representatives are calling us to change our drop-off location for later in the week, as if we have time to deal with that during all this chaos. Finally, I noticed this week that there is a $40 charge from U-Haul on top of the charge for the trailer, and I have no idea what it's for. Yet another thing I have to deal with disputing on my credit card. It's extremely frustrating that this has been our experience, especially given that we spent over $1000 with U-Haul on both the trailer rental and hitch installation. The truck was dirty inside and out. The steering was squirrelly and a pain to handle on certain roads especially at a slow speed or in stop and go traffic when loaded. It was not as bad unloaded but still an issue.PATRICIA ANN P.
