Katie WThe battery on the U-haul died at my first stop off the lot. I called the location where I picked it up and asked for assistance as I was only 10 mins away. They referred me to Uhaul Roadside assistance. When I called Uhaul Roadside assistance, the girl kept trying to pick up the phone and did not know how to operate it and ended up hanging up on me twice. I had to have my husband leave work and come with his large pick-up truck to jump start the Uhaul. It took an extra 2 hours of my day PLUS time that my husband had to take away from work. Once we got it jumped, we still needed to move a whole houseful of goods (which was already loaded in the back of the truck), so I had to drive it straight to the next location and NOT turn off the Uhaul while I unloaded (knowing I wouldn't be able to get it back up and running). Upon turning the piece of junk into the dealer, I told him that I was unable to fill the gas tank because I couldn't turn the truck off in order to return. I was so frustrated. He was on the phone with someone the whole time I tried to speak with him. I told him that I would not be paying for the few gallons of gas that I was unable to refill because they had already cost me a lot of money in the time both I and my husband wasted dealing with this junk. The owner agreed and said he woudn't charge me. I got the receipt tonight and he did charge me for the gas. I will never rent from them again...and it's a shame because I was needing to start renting a uhaul 2-3 times/month and this location is right outside my neighborhood.

RAYMOND DI was told I could not rent the van "one-way". The explanation was that all Vans were "local" and there would be a $400 charge for renting one way. BUT the license plate was from Arizona. How is that local? Then, I was not told that the location would be closed on Saturday and I had to check in using the app. Absurdly, the person who told me this had been in the office on Friday, but was in the repair yard on Saturday when I arrived, but refused to help me since the office was "Closed". I had to download and install the app, then go through the process. My expectation was that I could just drop off the keys and go.

ericka pI was stressed and running late. I had to run to an auto parts store to purchase a hitch because the location does not sell hitches, and an employee told me I had to hurry because they were closing soon. When I returned, with the "open" sign still on, the employee locked the door as I approached. I can appreciate humor, but he failed at reading my stress level and let shenanigans precede over courtesy. In hindsight, I have accepted he was having a better day than I was and was having fun, and I forgive him, but the experience was quite stressful and unpleasant at the time.
Douglas MTruck was extremely dirty inside and out. I had to clean it myself just to drive it. Also half empty tank that was 125.00 to fill just to start my trip.
patricia sThe call in support was TERRIBLE! We had trouble getting the code to get our vehicle. I called in and finally got a hold of someone who told me to download the app. When doing that the app wouldn’t work for me I used the call me function instead of waiting on hold for another 30 minutes. It called me back but hung up on me. I tried again and it did the same thing. So I caledl the help line again and waited on hold only to be hung up again. I was over 90 minutes late getting my rental and was only able to get it bc someone happened to be at the rental location and was able to help me

The location has reported the issue to U Haul and Uhual said that they did not see any reason to repair the issue. However this was stressful because I thought the battery would die. U haul needs to get this fixed.

Kammi LEverything went very well; the only thing I would say is that the unit smelled heavily of cigarette smoke so it was hard to drive it smelling that.

Danny GLa gestión del alquiler online fue fácil, solo les recomiendo a los próximos que alquilen cualquier vehículo, al entregarlo fuera de horario laboral ó fines de semana, hacerlo también online, si no lo hacen online van a tener un cargo adicional, se los digo por experiencia, me paso y bueno con eso ya aprendí que hay que realizar la devolución también online, por todo lo demás muy buen todo. Gracias.

Ana GTruck was available, however the paperwork and overall administration was not. I returned the truck on time, gave the key to check out to the attendant, went inside to let the person at the desk know that the truck was returned. No paper worked was done. She thanked me and said that was all I needed to do. I get a called the next day from U-Haul asking me when will I turn in the truck? Needless to say I was flabbergasted and upset that better accounting of the equipment is not done.

Ralph DHaHaHa, all your Q's are about the facility and NOT your processes. Your processes suck. Your app to take the photo of my driver's license didn't work. The link to verify the equipment was hard to use outside in the sun. Couldn't tell if photos I took loaded before the app moved to the next item. AND no one told me the link was coming to verify the equipment, so I almost drove out before doing it. That's a shady and shifty way to hang damages on a renter who didn't complete the verification. High tech and NO TOUCH = FAIL.

Armando GCheck engine light on . Vehicle at 3/4 tank of fuel. My quote was for $167.87. I have another charge for $95.23. The truck was a piece of shit. Used it for 3 hours. They are dishonest.
