Initially, they U-Haul had us dropping off the vehicle in Burnsville, NC, which is on the west side of the state, & we live north of Raleigh. Because the 1st drop off was so far away from our destination, we would have been over our mileage & 2 days late returning the vehicle. We contacted (828) 536-4220 explained the distance issue & we were informed we could return it to a closer location near our destination. No one said we would be charged a wrong drop off fee of $220. We like to be refunded that charge. As we were not informed there would be a fee.Jackie G.

Owner of the store was very rude and uninformed! He was determined to convince me that 1 rental day for u-haul was equivalent to 8 hours. He also demanded that we return the rental early, so we were not able to keep it the full 24 hours as reserved! He is a bad representation of the u-haul brand. I will never rent from this dealer again or refer anyone to this dealer.Anita J.

When I arrived, the dealer did not have the truck in stock. Sam at The Family Corner came through for me in a big way. Uhaul selected a location for drop off despite me calling and trying to change it. The place they selected was not even open. I had trouble getting the trailer off the hitch and trying to park it in the gravel parking lot. Very unhappy and frustrated with the situation.ELIZABETH P.

Owner is rude and the location is out way too far in an unsafe area. U-haul called and moved our pick up location from 10 minutes away to 45 minutes away. There is not ample parking and somewhat hard to get off the street.Joseph P.

The trailer I rented is advertised as a 9"Ã—12", but the trailer can only accommodate the width of the gate which is about 6 inches smaller than 6 feet. I was not able to use the rental due to the size of the gate. I feel this trailer should be advertised as the size of the gate. 47 dollars wasted.Mark E.

I would highly recommend that uhaul make sure that orders are complete for this gentleman. He works extremely hard to please his customers. He is very professional and very attentive. He is also hospitable. I really need uhaul to be sure that orders are complete. Because of their system, I had to pay an extra $100 dollars for my move. It made me very upset. I probably won't go with uhaul for my next move. I will be looking at Penske or budget trucks. I would much rather pay for their price than deal with uhaul again. Other than that, this gentle was phenomenal, not uhaul. Uhaul is unprofessional.Alexander G.

Forgot I was in the south and that this location could be in the middle of nowhere. It kind of was, but what was more disturbing was the condition of the store. Hwever, the u-haul rental experience was handled well by the franchisee who kept in contact with me throughout the process. Note that Verizon cell service is virtually non-existent at this location, making the processing of the rental longer than it needed to be.Denise K.

The app did not tell me the owner wanted the key in the drop box so we put the truck back the way we picked it up. The owner became quite rude about the key being in the back of the truck and argumentative about the password of the lock provided. He called 6 times and I attempted to call uhaul to re-confirm the passcode. The lack of professionalism was absolutely uncalled for.Marcus S.

This was a last minute change of location because my agreed upon details, where, when, size of truck could not be provided! U-haul also told me they would be open until 2:00. They told me that they have never been open on Sunday for 2 decades, when I dropped off vehicle.Dave R.
This location should not have a U-Haul rental. The office was disgusting, dirt piled on dirt, crap piled to the ceiling. I had no choice to visit this location, it was the only one in Raleigh (apparently) that had a 6x12 trailer. The attendant did not CONNECT MY TRAILER PROPERLY AND IT CAME OFF MY HITCH AT 45 MPH. The trailer nearly caused a crash. Thankfully, nobody was hurt. I will not ever go to this location again.Dean W R.

The owner was both knowledgeable and VERY helpful, kind, respectful and courteous. When I explained to him that UHAL did NOT have the rental at the two previous locations as promised and that I had the run arounds to get my rental and this was the third location I had gone to, He apologized and was very professional in assisting me in the process.Trina E.
We arrived while the store personnel were at lunch. He called and handled the entire thing over the phone because internet access was not available. That out us behind and we incurred extra charges because we had to get some medicine before closing. These charges were waived by UHaul. The owner at my pick-up location was super! Even though the location was not yet open for business, he contacted me to assist with a major scheduling mix-up by U-Haul. It cost me about an hour of time and delayed the start time of the U-Haul laborers. He helped me to understand the pickup process and facilitated a quicker solution.Tom B.

Have Steve, Mgr. terminate his assistant, who was extremely rude and unprofessional. After calling me to come pick up the truck, he refused to honor my reservation, threatened to cancel the reservation, refused to speak with the rep at U-haul corporate office, and kicked me off of his property. I made a 24.2 mile trip for nothing. Only to have to do it again the following day! This was the worse U-Haul experience I've ever had. The manager was very courteous but his assistant is less than desirable! His actions even caused problems for my movers in both locations. Honestly, I feel I should not have been charged for this reservation, or otherwise compensated!!!GERTRUDE V.

Need better notifications if a equipment is going to be at one location and after been transferred to another location but after been told that the 2nd location will be open to find out it wasn't open and had to call the owner for them tell you there going to be 45 minutes before they can come, after that when my stuff was transferred by Uhaul I had already did everything online so I didn't have wait another 15 minutes after the owner showed up because he was asking questions that I already filled out, this isn't the first time this happened in the last 3 months I was really late to my destinationJAMES B.
