The advertising makes you think you aren't going to pay much for a quick rental and not many miles. I secured the rental online and added the $10 for the liability coverage. But my final bill showed $20 for that coverage. Then the added fees, environmental, rental taxâ€¦for only driving 28 miles it was WAY more than what was expected. Next time we will just use friends who own pickup trucks.Amanda H.
I rent weekly for my wedding floral business and they are always accommodating to my schedule and needs. I could rent 5 minutes from where I live but would rather drive the 15 minutes because of the level of service.Patricia C.
I rented a pick-up that had pre-existing damage to the bed liner. I did not see the damaged liner as the tailgate was closed and the condition of the liner was not visible. My uncle loaded the truck so I never saw the condition of the liner. Upon return, I was charged for damage. I am livid, the shop is well aware of this issue and is taking advantage of customers who don't report the warped liner when picking up. I guarantee I am not the first or only person that has been charged for this "damage". Scammers.Carrie S.

Truck had a horrible leak in roof and had everything a complete mess from furniture to boxes! What a disaster!! Truck should be repaired fully or pulled from the fleet. And employees knew it leaked but did not state that upfront. Just said a sign in truck says water resistant not waterproof upon returning. What a fucking joke!!Angela W.

Super easy rental process. The person who checked us in was friendly, efficient and knew everything about the rental process. My inky problem is your app. It seems like half the time I rent with u haul I have issues with the app. This time I had to delete app and reload and that still did not work., we ended up having to use my wife's phone: it was as not a phone issue as we have exact same phones and cell carriers. HORRIBLE customer service. They refused to inspect truck when I arrived. They refused to help me unload my car from the trailer. They charged me $57 in fines an hour after drop off with no warning. I brought back blankets the next day after unwrapping furniture only to be accused of stealing, yelled at by two managers and thrown out of the store. I asked why no one had mentioned either the $35 blanket charge or the $25 cleaning charge to me. The head manager said it was in the fine print and that, "you learned a valuable lesson today". I asked for a refund of the $35 for the blankets and they simply yelled and yelled. When I said they were giving horrible customer service, they yelled repeatedly that they would agree they were giving horrible customer service if I agreed that I was a horrible customer. This was ridiculous! I was trying hard to stay calm and reason with them, but they were so deceitful, confrontational and aggressive. This lawn mower shop / U Haul location needs to be avoided.BRENT G.
Charged me for a cleaning fee when the only thing inside the truck was the sign that they put in the windowsâ€¦. I use uhaul a lot for different jobs and job sites for my business and this is upsetting for a company to hold standards to this.Logan W.
The mower shop did a great job. However, I had confirmation to pick up the truck at the postal annex 17001. When we arrived there I was told that they did not have the truck . He told us to pick up the truck at a 65th st location . We went there and that location was closed and had not trucks. We called uhaul and they found a truck at the mower shop. I traveled a long distance and rushed to get the trailer to the Mower Shop before they closed at 5:00 PM. It was very close when I arrived, 4:52 PM. We were in very heavy traffic in the Fishers, IN. area and I called ahead and asked if they would wait a minute or two if we couldn't make it in time. I was told NO and that they had families to get home to. Then whoever it was on the phone hung up on me as I was still talking. He was a jerk. I have had to wait at work much longer than a minute or two to keep customers happy over my working career. Any place that handles UHaul rentals should have more user friendly hours of operation than the Mower Shop does. They close at 5:00 PM Monday - Friday and at 1:00 PM on Saturday and not open at all on Sunday. UHaul rentals should not be handled by them.HAROLD L.

The trailer hook up by uhaul staff was not great. One chain was loose and kept dragging on the road. By the time we reached destination the chain was broken due to grinding/friction against the road. Luckily it did not affect the hook up integrity.KHAWAR W.

This truck should be off the road!!!! The driver side mirror kept buckling WHILE DRIVING so that I could not check cars behind me. The transmission continued to jam and many times would not move to the appropriate gear. This is a dangerous vehicle and should not be on the road. I felt very unsafe.Chris P.

The pickup location was changed on me after reservation. The pickup locations did not have the furniture Dollie's I reserved. It took me an hour and a half from arriving at original location until I drove out of the changed locations parking lot with my half filled reserved equipment.Philip P.

This location regarding UHaul issues has very limited capabilites in regards to vehicle carrier assistance i.e. securing a vehicle for transportation. Which was my primary concern when reservation was made.vernon S.

I was set up to pick up the uhaul and when I got there it was not there and I had to travel 30 minutes to a different location to pick up the uhaul. This caused me to have to pay my mover an hour for not working since it was 30 minutes each way to pick up the uhaul. This cost me $100. Also, they said that my uhaul was filled 7/8 the way when it was only 3/4 so that is how I returned it and was charged $29 for this.Chris B.

I did not have problem with location but did with I haul. It rained a lot of trip and the truck leaked on both drivers and passengers side of car. Both driver and passenger got very wet and a laptop got ruined due to it got wet and battery fried it.STEPHEN K.

The truck smelled like an ashtray full of wet cigarettes and beer, and it was filthy inside; mud on the floor, and everything you touched was sticky and dirty. The vehicle was also only filled with 1/4 tank of gas, which was explained to me to be the â€œerror of a prior customerâ€ not filling the tank!! My understanding was the vehicle would have a full tank - which is the responsibility of the rental agency; I'm quite sure they charged the previous customer at the outrageously expensive amount for gas to fill it, but it remained at 1/4 tankâ€¦which meant I had to stop twice as the next user to complete my trip! Complete disregard for customer service and convenience!! Lastly, and most importantly, I felt very unsafe in the vehicle as the transmission linkage was shoddy at best and kept slipping in/out of gear while driving it. The vehicle needs the transmission serviced badly!! Feel free to call me for more details @ 571-594-7923. My name is Charles Taylor, and I would never recommend this rental location, and will certainly never return. I would ask for a refund, but wouldn't expect that.Charles T.

First I was given a package rental deal that due to U hauls mistakes I didn't receive. I was quoted $1370+ tax at least 6 months earlier for my reservation. I was called the afternoon before pickup while at work & the next morning we were to head out of state with my car for restoration. They stated that my equipment would not be at the Carmel location for pick up. In fact I would have to go to two different places to pick up my truck and trailer separately. After speaking with a manager above him they got both pieces of equipment to the same facility in Fishers. Upon arrival, since they split up my equipment rental to get this done they could no longer give my my package rate in the computer. So for U hauls mistake I was charged more. (I still have a return trip for the same equipment that still needs rented later this year). They failed to mark heavy front drivers side damage, fortunately I took many pictures on my own with the day and time stamp on property showing the damage prior to leaving. The inside od the windshield was splattered completely with a drink, and the exterior windshield and mirrors were filthy. It became dangerous and I pulled over to clean them myself. During a rain I found out the wiper blades should have been replaced and made it sketchy to drive in the rain. The truck and trailer otherwise did a fine job of getting me there. I was very disappointed in the customer care side and may have to choose a different company for our return trip from zNC to IN. The female working at the NC drop off was wonderful. I wish the other employees had this same work ethic. She was very detail oriented and customer focused.Christian B.
