Ann MIf internet is required to pick up a U-Haul after hours, and if the cell signal is very poor at your building location, you should require the building operators to have working and accessible WiFi. If I request and pay for furniture pads, give me furniture pads. This is the second time in recent history that that’s happened to me (once from this location and once from the other U-Haul rental location in Fort Bragg). I also found a bunch of trash behind the seats of my U-Haul, which I didn’t notice until after I had already confirmed it was clean in the app.
David LThe location apparently does not wash the vehicle, as both outside and inside the cargo area was not clean.

JEFFERY JI had an issue with the gas tank gauge. When I was getting gas to refill the tank, the gauge was not working and I ended up filling the tank, which was more then was required upon the return… when I brought it to the attention of the employee he said something to the effect of “oh, okay”. I figure perhaps follow up question would have been asked,but I guess not. Who ever gets the truck enjoy the full tank of free gas.
Anthony MThe battery was dead and we were left with nothing or a bigger size which we took and were charged for. When we dropped it off the refunded $10 but I think it was because we put too much gas in it. Anyways the whole thing took forever. The guy had to keep calling uhaul and it was a pain!!!
Maria RThe engine light was on and stayed on, but we had no problems. But it was a little disconcerting. Also when I got there at 1 pm to get my rental, the guy had left for a while and so we had to come back to get the truck. But it was the only place in town to rent and he was nice.

Candace LThe location was a good one. My one issue is that the mobile checkin/out was presented as a way to have no interaction and even pickup off hours. It does not appear this is actually and option so that is a bit confusing.
David SThe truck was filthy and barely functional. The brakes screeched, and the transmission stuck. When we pulled out the ramp it had hair and mud from the previous user. I wasn’t treated very well when I picked it up in the morning. When I asked questions I was told to “call uhaul if you have a problem”. I didn’t. As we all know when you are moving house yourself and have friends waiting you’ll take what you can get. I asked for insurance online and the rep didn’t tell me the different kinds of insurance. I’m glad i did my research. I was told there was a dolly and mats, despite my online request to have no equipment. This took up valuable space I needed in order to fit my move. If I had known a cubic foot would be wasted I would have gotten a bigger truck. I returned it before the time it was due with more than required gas. I was told I had to go out to the parking lot to sweep it. I said that when I picked it up it was filthy. Then I was yelled at to “sweep it or I’ll charge you!”. My response was “that’s fine charge me”. The return was “I will, and I’ll enjoy it”. I don’t need that kind of hassle as a customer. It’s out of line. Then the salesperson disappeared into the back. I asked the other rep “can I go, I’m more than happy to be charged, I don’t have energy to sweep”. She said “I’m really sorry, yes you can go.” I don’t need that when I’m moving out of my home, due to sad circumstances. It was over all an unsavory and disappointing place to rent from. I would suggest not using them as a franchise as it makes Uhaul looks bad and if not remedied I would be more than happy to go elsewhere. This rep is not who you want as the face of your business. I should have paid attention to the reviews online, but I wanted to retain my brand loyalty to uhaul.

Gregory WThe cab of the truck was completely dirty. Food and dirt all over. Nothing wiped down or cleaned. Very disappointed. I will be calling Uhaul personally to complain.
Darren RHave the vehicle clean when the truck is rented. . The truck we picked up was dirty, full of soil and marijuana leaves. The cab was dirty with a container of clear gel that smelt like marijuana. And cigarette boxes were left also. My husband slipped and fell while cleaning the back of the truck and just sweeping didn’t clean it. We had to wash out the back before loading with our household items. We were delayed in returning the truck and the owner was very rude. I explained that my husband got hurt and wasn’t able to unload the truck. We had to wait for a some friends to help so we’re were delayed in returning. The lady who works at the counter renting the vehicles is very nice and helpful. I won’t rent from them again, I’ll go to the other uhaul rental shop in town. Thanks
Gina WI promised to return the truck in 24 hours, when I could not return, I left a voicemail to inform "The Rental Place" that I would be returning the truck 3 hours late, Bob sent me a harsh, very nasty and unprofessional voice mail, demanding that I return the truck on time. When I delivered the truck late, I parked it in the lot and left, and received another voicemail from Bob, stating the, "clock was still ticking" and I must call "The Rental Place", to confirm my reservation had ended. When I telephoned Bob answered, yelled at me about not "checking in" when I returned the truck, (I have done this many times for other UHAUL locations)and called me "a pussy", and then hung up the telephone, without giving me any chance for a rebuttal or even asking me why I couldn't return the truck on time. I had a very good reason for being late, but this crew isn't interested in customer service. I didn't even get the truck I wanted; I ordered a smaller truck... They have a rare combination of incompetence,being verbally abusive and mean to their customers. Bob should get some help, he's embarrassing himself.

Patrick WI began my rental experience at a different location. I needed to pick up the van on Saturday, so they made the reservation, and told me to go online to fill out the form to get the code to open the box that held the key. Saturday morning I arrived and began the process of navigating the online registration. After 45 minutes of trying and failing to successfully make my way through the process, including a call to Uhaul customer service, I gave up and went to the Rental Place, where real people checked me in and had me on the road. It would be better for people who are going to check in and get their vehicle using a smart phone, if the basic form and ID verification could be done over the counter, and a simple text message could be sent to the customer the morning of the pick up with the code for the lock box. It was a very frustrating and time wasting experience, which put me behind schedule, and ultimately caused me to keep the van an extra day, which cost me extra money.
danny bwas very helpful in making sure desired truck was actually at location I needed it at.. Otherwise, it may have necessitated a 100 drive..
