MICHAEL SWhat you can do is to improve your over-all communication with customers. You changed my pickup 3 times. I booked this reservation weeks in advance. Tina was determined to make me drive out of my way to Sebastopol all because this was a one way booking. I was from out of the area and needed the pick up to be close to the location. Instead at the last minute you change pickup again! I arrived at the pickup and the manager in Santa Rosa informed me that you changed the pickup and I had to drive to Sebastopol a good 35 minutes away from where I needed to be. I ended up being over an hour late. I did not pay online because I knew you were going to not give me my preferred pickup. You all made money off of me, with extra gas and also us dropping it off the same day. Shame on you! Tina you need to do a better job at communicating. As far as the managers at both Santa Rosa and Sebastopol, they were extremely professional. Christopher at Sebastopol and Mr. Filipe at Santa Rosa, he called ahead to make sure the truck would be there.

Christopher CThey charged me for an extra day even though I returned the vehicle before it was scheduled to be returned. $58 extra for adhering to the contract by U-Haul. When I called to inform this location they asked for my number and never called back. I emailed U-Haul and never heard anything. Seems like theft to me. I want a refund.
CASEY AThis feedback is for the manager and upper management. Your staff cannot do their job properly if your setup doesn’t work. The problem is, the UHaul app does not upload the backside of the ID and there are lots of glitches getting signed in. My account wouldn’t let me sign in until it was 15 mins into the hour I booked which meant I ended up spending $20-30 more. When this doesn’t work, it falls on the front desk to contact a second person for proof of ID because the customer can do nothing on their end! If the customer hasn’t prepared this sets back their entire preparation for booking a U-Haul in the first place, and then they don’t book ever again and you end up losing customers. I saw it happen first hand multiple times. If you’re APP is failing your company this badly, it would be helpful to email your customers and alert them to have their ID on hand and to have someone they can call for confirmation (because the system has been failing 9/10) and to really let them know that. I’m not happy with the way the system is, your employees are just doing the best they can with a structure that is ineffective. I hope someone hears what I’m saying as constructive feedback and can change it for the better. -Briana

MICHAEL GNightmare. Check-in took near an hour .. check out took near another hour. I was overcharged .. the rep didn't know how to fix it so instead of wasting more time I just paid it. The Rep was nice enough but obviously hasn't been trained properly or at all. Terrible experience all around. I will not be returning to U-Haul for any future moving needs. A small box truck should not cost $200 for four hours and 56 miles.
DANIEL TThe word lock wouldn’t open and caused severe delay for us. The internet speed was very slow at pick up location and this held up the photo upload and facial recognition. Customer service on a Sunday was lacking. It was a fiasco!

Susan WMy cargo van smelled so bad of cat pee that I had to buy cleaning products and air fresheners to make it tolerable. The tire pressure was low and there was a broken latch that caused an alert that the back door was open and it meant it didn’t lock either. The team at the rental location did their best to fix the problems but were unable to. Probably the worst vehicle I’ve ever rented. Advertised as $19.95 but totaled $150 after fees, insurance, and mileage.

Horace WThe digital check out requirement is cumbersome. What if I do not wish to inspect/approve of the vehicle in this manner? It seems that I'm expected to be an employee and thus, I should receive compensation for reviewing the rental vehicle via this manner. In the past, I've inspected rental vehicle prior to leaving the rental location, now I must go through a tedious process to exit the facility. NOT A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE AND ONE THAT I WISH TO REPEAT.

Horace WMileage reporting: i just got my "receipt" from UHaul saying i drove 317 miles... because someone put in the mileage wrong. so, now i have to call the location and/or uhaul to get a refund. please input your numbers more carefully. good thing i took a photo upon return... or who knows where that truck is today to collect "evidence" for the error. Gas reporting: the tank was labeled as full when receiving and upon driving away, it was certainly not all the way full. after driving 17 miles and before returning the truck, i filled the tank and it needed 4.5 gallons, which 1) i didn't use and 2) was not indicated on the gas tank meter, which would mean that the tank was 7/8 full, and it was showing it was more than 15/16s full. So, the equipment is broken and* the meter provided on receipt has a really inaccurate depiction of "estimated gallons until full".

Eric SMy dissatisfaction has more to do with the truck I was rented than the location. The truck was EXTREMELY loud on the road and was not able to accelerate— which made for a dangerous situation on the highway. Overall this vehicle did not seem roadsafe.

LINN RCommunicate more clear instructions for fuel., I was verbally told not to refuel the unit but then upon return was charged for 5X my fuel usage. Customer service regarding this issue was fair however and resolved my issue. If I had known how it works I would have added fuel to my original level. (1/4 tank)
