A back-up video camera would be a big help. I've rented a UHaul truck that was larger than the 10' box truck i returned today, and that truck had a back-up video screen which was very helpful for avoiding accidents. I've rented from both the Santa Rosa Rental Place on College Ave. as well as the Rohnert Park Rental Place on Commerce Blvd. and I'd rate both locations as excellent across the board. Friendly, efficient, helpful, from the yard-crew to the front-desk.Steve Q.

being a disabled senior, it was quite difficult for me to get in and out of the truck and get in and out of the bed of the truck. I needed to bring along a small ladder with me in order to get in and out. Other than that, no problems. The labor guys were great too â€“ really hard-working and I had to keep telling them to take a break!Mikayla D.

This was the worst U-Haul experience in over 25 years of using the company. First, my pick-up location was changed which more than quadrupled the mileage I'd have to drive. But much worse, when I arrived at the vehicle (on a Sunday, when the location was closed), none of the three dollies or the furniture pads I ordered where in the truck. Customer service helped me locate a facility where I could get two of the dollies and half of the furniture pads. All factors combined made me 2 hours late to start my move and cost me $120 in labor overages. Absolutely infuriating. I will never use this location again and will look at other options other than Uhaul after only receiving a slight discount for these many inconveniences.Matt S.

The truck was in bad shape. A little beat up and the driver door was hard to close. The windsheild seal was coming apart on the passenger side and the tire pressure monitor system said needs service on the dash warning system. The service was great but the equipment wasn't necessarily up to par. I will still continue to be a repeat customer, I have used this location many times and will continue to do so.Toby T.

Chris and his Employee"s cared. They were informative and helped me with a UHaul 101 tutorial. The ins and outside of process and bringing back the truck. The truck was easy to drive. All the lights and signals worked. It also turned on a dime. Easy to maneuver at the storage unit. Ease to open the back gate of the truck. I had a little confusion at drop off and their 800 line walked me through it. No waiting they picked up right away. 1) don't drop your UHaul Jey in drop box until you have cked that you have all your belongings IE Car Keys and put the equipment inside the front seats and then lock the doors. Jennifer, also an Employee, was there to ck on the lot. A delightful Woman. Knowledgeable and helpful. Biggest smile too. I needed that after the hard work I had to do. My whole experience was bad, but not on the part of the location. My reservation location was changed last minute without me knowing and cost me an additional 30 minutes of driving time that I wasn't expecting. The mobile check in process was absolutely terrible - had I known in advance to bring a passport or other phone numbers for verification, it would have worked fine. Because I did not know this, I was only able to give my work phone number. The agent could not get through to a person, and I did not have the other alternative verification items so I spent another 30 minutes dealing with this situation. Then, because the online agent couldn't make it go through, I was instructed to cancel the mobile process and go into the dealer who spent another 30 getting the reservation released and checked out to me. Ultimately my original 7AM pickup time turned out to be 9AM after all of the above and impacted my day badly. Additionally, the check engine light was on and the truck itself sounded terrible. I was upset and won't use this service again.Elizabeth W.

The truck was dirty and it felt like it was gonna break down at any moment the whole process of uhaul messing up my reservation since the beginning was the worst experience and probably never will use Uhaul again I'll stick to budget or PenskeALEJANDRA G.

My truck was not avalilable even though it was reserved 1 week in advance this put me and crew 3hrs behind schedule. I was charged $ 31.90 for gas even though I only put 25 miles on the truck and put 3 gallons in before returning. Then had $525 dollar charge show up as pending on my credit card which the rental place said they could not do anything about and to call the 800 number to get it straightened out. A nice person named Madison helped me from the 800 number with both issues but will have to wait a couple of days to see if resolved. I wii never do business with The Rental Place in Rohnert Park againJOSEPH C.
This applies to uhaul, not this specific location. Our original reservation was for a 15' truck and one way rental (pick up at current house, drop off at new house location) and when we showed up we were told they didn't not have a truck for us, despite seeing our reservation and confirmation. The store got Uhaul corporate on the phone who said they would give us a $50 and we would have to drive 45 miles away to get our truck. When told that's not acceptable, they said we could rent a smaller 10' truck only a few minutes away from our current location, but would have to return it to that same location (no one way available). So we got a smaller truck than what we requested, had to pay the same amount, and spend an extra hour and a half driving to return the truck. We also had to make multiple moving trips since the 10' didn't fit all of our stuff (why we reserved a 15' truck in the first place). The guy at our pickup location said this happens ALL THE TIME! Horrible experience overall, can't ever recommend anyone use Uhaul when they know of these issues and don't even do anything about it.JEFFREY D.

I reserved a truck over a week ago and when I got there they said there wasn't a truck for me to use. I was there at 8:30 and finally left at 9:30 with a truck that was sitting there from the time my husband and I arrived. We were told that truck was for somebody else and that we could not drive it one way. We were told we would have to bring it back to this location. So we drove 2 hours unloaded the truck and drive 2 hours and brought it back and then we had to pay for extra miles since we agreed to bring it back. We paid more than we needed to pay since we now had to pay the mileage. I was quoted 138.00 for the truck to drive one way and ended up paying 173.89. I do not feel that is fair and I am disappointed in renting a truck from U-Haul today.Peter C.

They forgot to put moving blankets and dolly on the truck, I called and they were more than happy to bring the items to me! I cancelled the items and they credited me back right back. Picking up and dropping off truck was very efficient as well. Thanks U-Haul.VICKIE E.
