At the Main Dothan AL store, I requested a 6x12 trailer. The person at the desk looked on computer and stated that they didn't have one. Never offering to look at other locations around the city until I ask. I feel that I shouldn't have to remind a Uhaul employee to check other locations. In fact, another location had one and I went and picked it up there.

They put in computer that had a full tank of gas on pick up (it was 3/4) so they charged me for that (the internet was down from Hurricane) so could not get corrected as no phone at pick up location as of the 15th so just list like $$33?

I initially requested a 15 foot truck from the location at 1402 Montgomery Hwy in Dothan, Alabama. Less than 24 hours prior to picking up the truck I received a text telling my time had changed from 0700 to 1600 on the same day. I called the store and they told me that is what they had. I explained to the lady that my initial email and subsequent emails showed 0700. She said she would not get a 15 foot truck until 1600. She turned the issue over to the another group and gave me a 1-800 number to call if they didn't call me later in the day. No one called by 1600 so I called and spoke to a very nice lady. After some discussion, she found me a 20 foot truck at another location. This was great. What I think you can learn from this is that I got the same excuse from all three people I talked to about this problem. The main excuse is that they are not sure when people are going to bring trucks back and that they have no control over it. I had to recommend solutions to the lady at the 1-800 number so I could get a truck.

They charged me for a 1/4 tank of gas too much and there were ants all over the u-haul

Customer Service at this location was excellent. The customer service at Uhaul corporate took 23 minutes to answer the phone. The online system to get the truck early did not work. I clicked on "pick up truck" and the next screen was the previous screen. Therefore I could not access the next screen. So we waited until the office opened at 10am.

Please install a touge jack on your trailers. The 6x12 is heavy as hell to hook and unhook by your self. I had to unhook when I returned due to business closed on Sundays. My self and rental guy talked about trailer needing one. Someone is going to get hurt trying to lift these trailers due to weight. Trailer pulls great no problems. But needs a jack to hook and unhook. I had to unhook trailer once on trip and when I dropped it off.

Through no fault of the The Rim Shop, the U-haul asked me if I wanted to reserve an appliance dolly. I DID reserve one but when I arrived at the site I was told that they did not have any and those were not reserved like trucks. So the website is misleading, if it's not an outright lie to the customer that they are "reserving" a dolly when they are not actually. This was very frustrating. I had to drive to another u-haul store to acquire the equipment that I "reserved". Otherwise, I was very pleased with my experience with U-haul.

Trailer performed very well. Running, break, turn light plug on inside of trailer ( right side or passenger) kept coming unplugged. Needs to be secured better.

I was assigned this location to pick up my rental. I had requested an appliance dolly and 1 dozen furniture blankets. The pick up location did not have any dollys or blankets. I had to stop at a different location to get those items. When I finally got all items and was preparing to start loading I noticed a black greasy substitute on the floor of the truck. My wife and I had to clean the truck floor before we could start loading. In the future you need to ensure a renter is sent to a pick up location that has all items needed and your renting locations need to inspect the cleanliness of your trucks.

The owner of the shop would not open his doors until exactly 9 AM. When I signed up for the uhaul online it was for a different location and I had every intention of getting the truck by 8 AM because I had a moving crew coming at 9 AM. I figured if i showed up a few minutes early I could make the process go quicker so I could get the truck over to the crew. Well, they had problems with the system and it took half an hour to get my truck. Luckily the moving crew was excellent and was able to move me before their time was up. But the location significantly delayed my move and nearly cost me extra money.

It would be nice that when you schedule a trailer at a certian location it will be at that location. Instead I received an e-mail less then two hours before I was to pick up my trailer tell me to go to a different location. When I talk to the manager of the location that I schedule the trailer at he could care less that he didn't have the trailer that I schedule. His attitude was I'm lucking to get a trailer. YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICES, SORRY, I MEAN YOU DON"T KNOW WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICES IS AND YOUR PEOPLE DON"T CARE ABOUT EVEN TRYING TO PROVIDE ANYTHING CLOSE TO CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I showed up to pick up the trailer at 9am, the scheduled p/u time, and the location was closed for the day!! U haul did complete the rental over the phone but what a major inconvenience it was!!

When you reserve the equipment you have to give all your info including payment, it should not have to be reentered in the second time when you pick it up. Just verified.
