MASON MI was issued a trailer with faulty brake lights, which caused a persistent dashboard alert every time I pressed the brakes. This was not only distracting but also a potential safety concern as I drove across several states. During the equipment inspection, the attendant confirmed that the lights were operable, but this required someone to verify brake light functionality while I pressed the pedal—something I could not do on my own. Unfortunately, the attendant was not honest or thorough in this process. I attempted to troubleshoot the issue myself, but the light assembly was riveted to the trailer, preventing access to the bulb for a simple replacement. To make matters worse, this was the only trailer available on the lot, leaving me with no alternative at the time.
LUIS OPlease check who uses your brand. I was totally confused about the process and asked for help, they told me everything is in the app. Why be there with U-Haul signs thinking they were the company.

BERNETTA BBarely enough space to park the trailer.
ERICKA MI picked it up with 1/8 of a tank of gas and obviously needed to fill it up which caused me to spend $60 for nothing. Ended up turning it in with 3/4 tank of gas after spending $77 for them.
JORDAN KAssociate was rude. Had 2 blow outs on the trailer. Had to call roadside 2 times come put new tires on.

Charles KThis whole process was a complete disaster. App didn’t work. Instructions were not clear. Truck check engine light was on when I turned on the truck. Truck was dirty. Key lock keep making it difficult to crank the truck back up. I will never use U-Haul again.

Jose MMy initial phone representative was very polite BUT my reservation wasn't at the location that I originally booked it for and the lack of availability should've been explained during my initial phone call. The location that ended up handling my reservation was ok, though the encounter was a bit awkward.

sonya tI was given the wrong truck so I had difficulty doing the after hours drop off. She said it had 3/4 tank, but it was 1/4. The check engine light was on - think it is impacting the fuel economy. Someone stuck a bud in the air vent - the vehicle smelled of pot.
Kelly JThe rental from 2205 Hope Mills Road was absolutely horrendous! The rental office displayed the vehicle. Hence the reason for the low mileage. When I discovered this issue, I immediately returned the vehicle. I filled the rental with “More Fuel” than I drove off the lot. The cargo area of the UHaul was riddled with COCKROACHS!!! Yes COCKROACHES!! Fortunately I saw them prior to loading my dress military uniforms and suits. U-Haul, you guys are a “BILLION” dollar organization. And as we all know, “Perception Means Everything”!

A'Maia MI was told that I could pickup the truck at 2:00 pm. When we got to the place their was a note on the door that said, "out to lunch." My husband and I didn't get the truck until around 3:00 pm. That put us behind with a late start to get back to Gastonia.
Everett DThe truck had an exhaust leak that I had to have fixed. The passenger side mirror was loose and would not stay adjusted. The knobs for heat and ac were stuck had to use pliers to get them to move also all the tires were low on air anywhere from 10-40 lbs low. I was not very happy with this truck rental.

We arrived a few minutes early and had to stand outside during a storm as we waited to see if someone would arrive at our pick up time. She did. We then had to drive to a different location to pick up the car tow. Again, in a storm. Very inconvenient.

Jim CI was called and asked to return equipment that i no longer had i ordered online and a representive called me the day of return and said i didnt return the dolly. I did not order or ask for a dolly and nor was there one in the truck i picked this truck up afterhours with a online reservation at a location that was like a third party and was closed at the time and i did not need a dolly for my move. Also the app is terrible at doing these types of reservations it doesnt work well.

Jetran RTruck still had debris in the back of it from the previous renter, gate was open when I drove off with the unit. There were no moving blankets in the bag in the back and the hand dolly had no security seal, just glad I didn’t get charged for them. Took photos of condition of rear inside once I got home to document the condition so I wouldn’t be charged for the missing blankets or the missing security seal on the hand truck.

karen jThe business establishment is disgusting & very unprofessional & rude!!!! They also tried to charge my credit card over what my fees are because I received a notification from my credit card company that they denied their 1st transaction!! Then they ran the final fee of $42 & some change that was approved!!! I will be calling them & asking what they tried to place on my card but I don't appreciate them trying to add anymore charges than what I purchased. I have rented from UHaul several years & NEVER had any suspicious fees added until now!! This business establishment is bit to be trusted & if I wasn't in the jam I was in, I would have walked out as soon as I walked in!!! This isn't a good look on such a well known company as UHaul cause I will never use them again or recommend them!!! Im EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED & ANGRY
