I was issued a trailer with faulty brake lights, which caused a persistent dashboard alert every time I pressed the brakes. This was not only distracting but also a potential safety concern as I drove across several states. During the equipment inspection, the attendant confirmed that the lights were operable, but this required someone to verify brake light functionality while I pressed the pedal—something I could not do on my own. Unfortunately, the attendant was not honest or thorough in this process. I attempted to troubleshoot the issue myself, but the light assembly was riveted to the trailer, preventing access to the bulb for a simple replacement. To make matters worse, this was the only trailer available on the lot, leaving me with no alternative at the time.

The female that rents out the uhauls at this location has a nasty attitude, both days I came to rent and it was worse when I came in to return the truck. It was unnecessary and unprofessional.

The location that ended up handling my reservation was ok, though the encounter was a bit awkward.

sonya tI was given the wrong truck so I had difficulty doing the after hours drop off. She said it had 3/4 tank, but it was 1/4. The check engine light was on - think it is impacting the fuel economy. Someone stuck a bud in the air vent - the vehicle smelled of pot.

When I discovered this issue, I immediately returned the vehicle. I filled the rental with “More Fuel” than I drove off the lot. The cargo area of the UHaul was riddled with COCKROACHS!!! Yes COCKROACHES!! Fortunately I saw them prior to loading my dress military uniforms and suits. U-Haul, you guys are a “BILLION” dollar organization. And as we all know, “Perception Means Everything”!

Barbara JWorst experience ever. We were having issues adding another authorized driver and entered the building to receive help. The lady ignored us for a minute or so and then was really nasty. What do you want or what do you expect me to do was her response to our questions. If we had not been on a tight deadline, we would have canceled the rental. The guy who owns the building intervened and came outside with the answer, he also commented how he has to do that often due to her poor attitude/customer service. She also stated to did not know anything about UHaul, but the guy said she was the UHaul representative. We were never greeted or helped by her, this may be an affordable service offered but customer should never be treated this way.
Tyler WI was overcharged because the facility was closed when I returned the equipment and the online return was unable to see my phone. I contacted UHaul to remedy this but apparently it didn't work either.
George SI was told that I could pickup the truck at 2:00 pm. When we got to the place their was a note on the door that said, "out to lunch." My husband and I didn't get the truck until around 3:00 pm. That put us behind with a late start to get back to Gastonia.
Everett DThe truck had an exhaust leak that I had to have fixed. The passenger side mirror was loose and would not stay adjusted. The knobs for heat and ac were stuck had to use pliers to get them to move also all the tires were low on air anywhere from 10-40 lbs low. I was not very happy with this truck rental.

I did not order or ask for a dolly and nor was there one in the truck i picked this truck up afterhours with a online reservation at a location that was like a third party and was closed at the time and i did not need a dolly for my move. Also the app is terrible at doing these types of reservations it doesnt work well.
