This whole process was a complete disaster. App didn’t work. Instructions were not clear. Truck check engine light was on when I turned on the truck. Truck was dirty. Key lock keep making it difficult to crank the truck back up. I will never use U-Haul again.

sonya talleyI was given the wrong truck so I had difficulty doing the after hours drop off. She said it had 3/4 tank, but it was 1/4. The check engine light was on - think it is impacting the fuel economy. Someone stuck a bud in the air vent - the vehicle smelled of pot.

Barbara SmithThe rental from 2205 Hope Mills Road was absolutely horrendous! The rental office displayed the vehicle. Hence the reason for the low mileage. When I discovered this issue, I immediately returned the vehicle. I filled the rental with “More Fuel” than I drove off the lot. The cargo area of the UHaul was riddled with COCKROACHS!!! Yes COCKROACHES!! Fortunately I saw them prior to loading my dress military uniforms and suits. U-Haul, you guys are a “BILLION” dollar organization. And as we all know, “Perception Means Everything”!

Barbara JonesWorst experience ever. We were having issues adding another authorized driver and entered the building to receive help. The lady ignored us for a minute or so and then was really nasty. What do you want or what do you expect me to do was her response to our questions. If we had not been on a tight deadline, we would have canceled the rental. The guy who owns the building intervened and came outside with the answer, he also commented how he has to do that often due to her poor attitude/customer service. She also stated to did not know anything about UHaul, but the guy said she was the UHaul representative. We were never greeted or helped by her, this may be an affordable service offered but customer should never be treated this way.
Tyler WiseI was overcharged because the facility was closed when I returned the equipment and the online return was unable to see my phone. I contacted UHaul to remedy this but apparently it didn't work either.
George SzydlowskiI was told that I could pickup the truck at 2:00 pm. When we got to the place their was a note on the door that said, "out to lunch." My husband and I didn't get the truck until around 3:00 pm. That put us behind with a late start to get back to Gastonia.
Everett DunlapThe truck had an exhaust leak that I had to have fixed. The passenger side mirror was loose and would not stay adjusted. The knobs for heat and ac were stuck had to use pliers to get them to move also all the tires were low on air anywhere from 10-40 lbs low. I was not very happy with this truck rental.

We arrived a few minutes early and had to stand outside during a storm as we waited to see if someone would arrive at our pick up time. She did. We then had to drive to a different location to pick up the car tow. Again, in a storm. Very inconvenient.

Veronica BookerI was called and asked to return equipment that i no longer had i ordered online and a representive called me the day of return and said i didnt return the dolly. I did not order or ask for a dolly and nor was there one in the truck i picked this truck up afterhours with a online reservation at a location that was like a third party and was closed at the time and i did not need a dolly for my move. Also the app is terrible at doing these types of reservations it doesnt work well.

brittany spillerThe only thing I can say is yes your truck decks are lower than the rest BUT if you have a short ramp than it deletes the lower deck, wish the ramp was a little longer so it wasn’t a little steep loading and unloading other than that everything was ok

The proprietor at the location I rented from stated that this is an ongoing incident because your company is making money by sending renters to further locations to rack up mileage usage. I will not be using your company anymore!

I called in for help to get the truck started or replacement and after 50 mins on hold I hung up. Along with calling I did an online request for help and it was almost an hour before I was contacted. seem like forever. I have rented a U-Haul several times this month but this has been a horrible experience. I am thankful I never pulled the truck from the location.
FRANCINE AVERYOnline check in did not work so I waited for the shop to open. She opened up an hour late so I waited for 2 hours to pick up the truck which should have been a 15-20 min process at max.

Jetran RobinsonTruck still had debris in the back of it from the previous renter, gate was open when I drove off with the unit. There were no moving blankets in the bag in the back and the hand dolly had no security seal, just glad I didn’t get charged for them. Took photos of condition of rear inside once I got home to document the condition so I wouldn’t be charged for the missing blankets or the missing security seal on the hand truck.
