The van reeked of cigar smell and I found a dirty towel behind the seat, clearly visible from the passenger side. When I fueled the vehicle I found it was missing the gas cap, which I believe is illegal for a rental vehicle in Nova Scotia. When I brought this to the clerks attention he advised that they were aware of the missing cap. I was admonished for leaving mud on the running boards, even though it was a rainy day, and told that they could charge a cleaning fee! Not a great rental. Won't use this location again.
David JNot happy with the per Kms rate. I used the van for 20 Kms in total that made my overall charge double. Also, your booking structure of requiring drivers license to be photographed was not user friendly.

Gerry TThe remote check in takes at least 30 minutes which wasn’t factored in to my rental time when I booked it and should be mentioned. The need for secondary verification wasn’t easily understood prior to pickup, luckily I live next door and could get my passport, but remotely picking up the vehicle is time-consuming and complicated.
Matthew TThe rental experience was fine. The truck could use a good vacuuming. There was lots of dirt, pebbles and debris in the front cab. It didn't look very well maintained.

amandeep kThis was my first time doing a mobile pick-up and I had no idea what to expect. The authorization process caused a problem for me. I only had one person available to list as a point of contact and ended up having to drive home to get my passport. I lost 30 minutes on the rental and found it to be a very frustrating experience. It would be helpful to have clear directions ahead of time or in the booking process.
Alicia WUnit should be washed inside and out after each customer. This unit had no windshield washer fluid. Should be checked after each customer.
Mark GVery poor quality service. The worker tried to push insurance on me even though I indicated that I didn’t need it, and then the worker lied that she couldn’t cancel it, which is why I waited 10 minutes for her to cancel it. The car was dirty, there were stains on the gas tank, the interior was not cleaned. It is obvious that the car is not maintained.
Mykola KVery good we were only rent for a hour or so. We were in and out in no time pick up our package at CT and drop it at the house, gas up and returned the van.👍

janice mConsider a plan to reduce cost - perhaps say lower cost/km ., for short-term rentals. For example 30cts. per km for 2-3 hour rental. This might allow for example more rentals per day for your locations. Thanks

Andrew GYou’re website needs improvement as I had issues login in and out of it at the beginning of picking up and at drop off making my rental time 2 hours over the expected time frame. The locks were difficult to open and only after getting a third one was when it actually worked. I also had to change locations because they didn’t have a van available so I had to drive to another location 18mins away. Definitely not an ideal experience.
Terra mI checked in on the app. The app sucks. I put all my information in and got nothing. I got no code to unlock the key box. The info didn’t even show up in the system. I had to make several calls to the call centre. Took over an hour to get the key. The attendant kept telling me what I did wrong but I showed digital proof I did what I was supposed too. What a bullshit stressful event. I would not recommend anyone going through this. Check in went great. I also didn’t get any receipts. It said it was emailed to me. I didn’t get it.

michael pIt was difficult to find the keys. It wasn’t clear it was in the UPS store. Having that somewhere on the website would help. The person I spoke with on the phone was lovely though.
Hannah WI really recommend this location for the pick up of U-Haul. Owners are very friendly. I was there at the closing time, but still both of them helped us to unlock the vehicle and provided the dolly booked. I appreciate their patience and behaviour with the customers

Royden BI hate your mid-tank fill requirements. Every rental should;d start & finish FULL. My rental is a perfect example of the flaws. Contract read 5/8, needle was 2/3 of the way between 1/2 and 5/8 when i started, my rental was for 9 (Yes nine) kms and upon return to gas station right next door, needle was half way between half a tank and 5/8 and it looked the same after putting in enaugh gas to replace what gets burned in 9km's Every rental should start & Finish with a full tank!!!
Carlos TLess wait times to speak with someone, and if you request that we email instead of call, then someone should respond fairly quick. Also, an inspection should be done between vehicles, as ours was filthy and soiled in antifreeze (which affected personal belongings). I could go on about the poor service up until I spoke with an amazing Manager over the phone this evening.

Andrew GI was able to book for a 7am pick up four days before my move, which was confirmed. When I arrived to get the truck, the keys were unavailable and the store was closed. I waited until 10am when I was informed that two people had booked the truck so I may not be able to get it. Luckily I was given the truck as we had a small window to move in which had already been reduced by 3 hours. Had we been told in the few days before our move that a 7 am pick up was not possible, we could have planned for it. Instead we were left scrambling and calling customer service.

Shelley MHorrible experience. Made me arrive 1.5 hours early with 20 minutes early so they could close early, didn't leave the lock box outside, and I had impolite customer service. Wouldn't recommend going here, choose another company.
Ryan EGetting the key was a long process. If there a better designated area that U-Haul had for key pick up within the UPS store it would help the counter person know you need a key. There were people in line for parcels and I needed to wait for them to complete their shipping. The u-haul process was smooth but broke down when trying to show the counter person my phone screen with the approval so I could get the key. She didn’t look at the screen, kept asking my name (which is on the screen), asked me about odometer reading and fuel (I don’t have a key yet so I can’t answer that). It made the pick up frustrating. Drop off was easy because they were gone and I could put the keys in the drop box.
Shelby GThe truck itself and the staff were helpful but the self check in was cumbersome to go through not knowing what the process would be like - maybe at the beginning a check list of what you will be asked to do? It took a long time to go through. It would be helpful to have a time estimate in the awaiting approval section. And it was frustrating that we had already entered the license information when reserving but were asked again for this information at check in (it was not at all time saving). Overall though the truck was clean and staff were friendly and helpful!

Susan AOverall bad experience. Agent did not do walk through of vehicle and did not review process of closing the rental which lead to me doing it incorrectly and occurred additional charges. Will not use this location/service again when easier and better options are available.
Matthew hAgent (JIe Chen) was very helpful and flexible. Despite unknown return from previous renter and limited stock. The secure dropoff was very convenient. Best of all, a rear, backup camera very unexpected and helpful with this van.

She bent over backwards to look after me despite fact she has other jobs with UPS in the same office. I got my van within 25 minutes.. I only needed it to pickup a treadmill and bring to my residence. I returned the van short while later. The same clerk was there and speed ed up my return.. I do not know her name but she was awesome!! Please take not of this awesome employee........ Thank you I will return

R TThe mobile check in is a horrible experience, I had to use another persons phone as it wouldn’t pick up the location on mine. The vehicle was fine, but ‘clean’ is not the perfect word to describe it, it was just in used condition, dirt on floor etc;

Michael PVan inside smelled very awful. Gas was just under where noted on receipt. Clerk did NOT walk around the van for an inspection with me.
Mark SI had to choose "well cleaned", as there is no other option... the van had only 12,000kms, so was new..but could some cleaning. There was dog hair on the seats, dash needs dusting. Once the van is returned, I did not see any intention by the company of "cleaning the vehicle" ...I would rent the again thou.
