5 out of 5 stars. Thriftee makes everything easy. Sonia is a total superstar - always polite, upfront, and incredibly helpful every time I walk in. She gives solid advice (so does her team), answers questions with patience, and clearly knows her stuff. You can tell this team has seen it all in LA. Never stress, no confusion, always willing to help - just great service and good people. I absolutely recommend!

Fix your reservation system. Mine was confirmed as 10am but when I arrived to pick it up the app suddenly said 11:45pm !! The location staff also had 11:45 in their system and insisted I must have booked incorrectly - even though it was all done via phone with your rep.The truck I needed for cross-town drop—off wouldn’t arrive for 4 hours and I had a whole staff of UCLA colleagues waiting on me to transport our lab equipment. The location staff did their best getting me a truck that I would have to drive back across town. Not fun in Los Angeles but we did the best with what we had. I cannot understand how a system can change a reservation so dramatically!

I received a call from U-Haul scheduling center that my reservation pick-up location was changed to Thrifty Storage in LA, this was the third time of a location change. No fault to Thrifty Storage. This was an inconvenience due to the fact I was traveling from out of town 4 hours away to Pasadena to empty my storage unit. I had arranged to get a ride to the goldline and walk over since it was so close. I had to make additional arrangements since the location pick-up was changed two days befor pick-up. I originally made the reservation 3 weeks ahead of time with the U-Haul location in Pasadena which was around the corner from my storage facility. Long story short, I was rescheduled to two other locations for final pick up of the U-Haul truck out in Los Angeles, one-hour before pick-up. This detained me from meeting the movers on time that I had scheduled to move my items from the Pasadena location. Especially, when the movers were scheduled for a limited time. Again, no fault to Thrifty Storage. Upon pick-up, the lady who assisted me was nice and processed my reservation. The only thing was when we went out to the truck she rapidly went through the details of the truck. I had received a link for the check off details before accepting the truck and it was a bit overwhelming, especially since this was my first time renting a U-Haul truck. There were things I noticed and took photos and ended up calling it in to customer service.

There wasn’t space to park at all so we had to spend at least 45 minutes getting the truck in safely and it still ended up blocking their way in. I’m sure this wasn’t the employee’s faults but whoever left the last truck. Maybe enforcing that each truck needs to be on the very next parking spot would help? not sure. Thanks for everything anyway!

This location is the best Uhaul location by far that I have ever used! I have been using them for over 10-15 years and what separates them from others is their personal touch, their kindness and helpfulness with customers, and they are a mom and pop shop! They always answer the phone first ring, they always have a vehicle ready, they are efficient and a wonderful team.

1 extra mile was added to my odometer cost after I checked out, which I can prove (took a picture of the odometer when checking out.) Feels like they probably do this to all/most rentals to pocket extra $$ over time. The truck I had booked had a broken window when I showed up, they were upfront about it and offered to give me a larger truck for the same price.

This is the second time I've moved and Daniel was amazing to get me what I needed despite Uhaul itself limiting them. I highly recommend this location. They have THE BEST customer service and don't BS you in any way (as I've seen reviews for some other locations). The only gripe is the actual location, its on a pretty busy street, but hands down will always go to them for my moving needs.

This was not the location I requested initially. I was contacted and asked to go to a different location, but on my pick up date, I was told that my guaranteed truck was not available. So I was sent to this location to pick up a truck that was larger and more difficult to maneuver than the one I requested. I also reserved an appliance dolly, but there was not one available at this location. None of this is the fault of this specific location, but I was disappointed that I had to wait 2 hours on a call and then was sent to pick up a truck I did not request at a location nearly 30 miles away.

Just being a little brighter at the entrance . Also it’s not allowing me to submit with not applicable. And we went at night time but personnel was not available so I can’t say no to 1717 Glendale. I believe they would but I dropped U-Haul at night so they were not there. So please note that it was not applicable

The premises were in terrible condition: old and dirty. The van was old, dirty, and noisy. The tire pressure monitor was on. The U-haul representative told me "not to worry." The gas when I took possession was less than what was on paper. I took a photo. I refilled the tank with more gas than I estimate I used and still got charged for two gallons. I was scheduled to pick up the van at 9 a.m. on Sunday. I received a message on the app that the "equipment was not available. While waiting on the phone for customer service, I received a call from the location saying they didn't have the van and I had to go to a different location. Then I was told that they had a truck I could have (he should have started with that) that he would give me for the same price. I said fine. I arrived at 9 and was told that there was a van. It was an old and dirty GMC Safari (I couldn't find the mileage but it must have been with many thousands of miles). If I wasn't desperate, I would not have taken the van. But we only had one day to help our son move and I had no choice. Overall, my worst renting experience with U-haul and I've done it many times.

This was the best facility in LA, but when they couldn’t serve me because my needs changed, they helped me find a solution that worked with a competitor. If they care this much about a non-customer, I’m fairly certain they will give even more effort for people paying for their service.

Hello, I canceled this reservation. The Uhual rep on the phone tried to call Thriftee but left a message. This facility was unsafe and the exterior was dirty and full of graffiti (maybe Murals might help). It appeared that there were possible squatters living on the property. I did not feel comfortable leaving my belongings at this site.

We moved into a storage unit here after a house fire. They were very kind to us, and our stuff stayed exactly as we left it until we came to pick it up in preparation for a move across the country. Highly recommended.

On Sunday, August 7th, I came to your facility to pick up the contents of my unit. 50% of my unit was destroyed by pests and I was only able to salvage a few items. The mattress was compromised and the rats ate through the mattress cover. I had to dispose of most of my belongings and valuables. The bed set and mattress was the main purpose of the unit and it was ruined. I’d like a refund or compensation for the unit because my items were damaged as they were under your care since April. I paid for the unit to keep it safe and I was assured that there were precautions you take to fight against pests but I see that was not the case. Please let me know when I can receive a refund.

This place is beyond run down, its not easy to maneuver a cart because the lot isn`t flat and there are many narrow or awkward halls and doorways. This would`ve made my move a nightmare
