I received the truck and didn't check the back. Took it to get my furniture and then discovered the back hold was filthy dirty with wood chips and mud. I had to leave and get a broom to sweep it out (and it still wasn't clean). Some of my furniture got dirty at the bottom. I called about the dirty condition oh the truck immediately and was told he didn't have time to check the back before he gave it to me and said thanks for the info. I still would recommend the location because he was super friendly and nice.Vivian G.

Upon picking up the truck, there was a man sitting in the driver's seat. I retrieved the key from the box and headed to the truck. The man would not exit the truck until I proved the key was for that truck. Once proven he got out with a bottle of some booze and walked away. He was homeless. I assume the truck was left unlocked which we later realized it was left like that because you can't unlock the driver side door with the key. It doesn't work. After a long night of loading the truck we then could not get the back door to close. It kept getting stuck in the track on the way down. After about 20 minutes we got it down. I've rented from this location many times and have never had an issue so I'm chalking this up to just a one off experience, I hope.Matthew T.

My intention was to drop the trailer at the destination, but the drop charge was so expensive that it was clearly much cheaper for me to endure the four and half hour tow and return it to the start location. Apart from that the experience was exceptional.Ivan R.
UHaul very uncleaned, nervous driving the u haul due to sounds coming from below vehicle. No working lock provided for cab of vehicle. Gas below 1/4 tank when received and no windshield wash in U Haul when received. Location did however take a day off my charging rate. Overall a very below average experience. My reservation to pick up trailer was on Sunday, Feb 26 at 11:30am in Corner Brook. I drove 50kms from my hometown to pick up the trailer and the business was closed. I called the local office and no answer so called the U-haul customer service line and after being transferred to 3 different agents over a 45 minute period I spoke to a kind gentleman I think his name was Matt who was very gracious and understanding. He finally found contacted someone in Corner Brook and he told me that the business owner left town on a trip and he stated that they were not notified that the business was closed that morning. I was told to come back the next day to pick up the trailer as there was nothing else that could be done at the time. This meant that I would have to take another day off work to travel to Corner Brook again to get the trailer and it also delayed my son from moving his furniture to St. John's as he was starting a new job that Wednesday. When I went to pick up the trailer on Monday there was no apology and the 6 x 12 trailer that I was picking up was completely buried in snow and the trailer hitch was frozen into the ground. I had to shovel the snow off of the trailer roof and then proceeded to chip away at the ice covering the hitch with the plastic shovel that was provided. After the trailer was shoveled out it was hooked up to my truck by two cables and I was told to haul it out with my truck to break it free from the ice. It was a total disappointing experience and to the misery I was told I could drop the trailer off at their Thornburn Road location in St. John's which is not even a drop off location and the gates were locked. I then had to decide how I was going to back this trailer out of the lot (no where to turn around) at 5:00pm during the traffic rush in St. john's so I had no other choice but to get my son to stop traffic so that I was safely able to back it out on the road. I was told I would have no other choice but to drop the trailer off at their Kenmount Road location. When the U-haul employee done his walk around of the trailer he asked why I did not have the trailer brake hooked up. I told him that I was not even aware of a trailer brake as this was not instructed to me during pick-up so I drove from Corner Brook to St. John's with no trailer brake....terrible frustrating experience.Duane Y.
You need a mechanism to keep the two heavy rear doors open. They kept swinging shut. They were propped, however the wind gusts were too strong and knocked props over. Thank You for Level One Customer Service!!Laura W.

Renting the moving truck was a HUGE hassle. When I booked the truck, I requested 24 hrs, 3pm-3pm. A week before pickup a rep called to tell me I had to return the truck at 8am the next morning. By this time, we had all our moving arrangements made and this change would not work for us. After an hour on the phone, the rep said she had resolved the issue and we could have the truck for the original time. When we went to pick up the truck, I confirmed the 24hrs. The worker was very unfriendly and explained nothing. He gave us the key and didn't even tell us which truck was for us. When we inspected the truck, the mileage was 200 miles off and the power steering was squealing. We told the worker and he said we actually had to return it 8am the next day. I Informed him of what the other rep had told me and that we would not be returning it until 3. He couldn't figure out how to change the millage so he recorded the actual amount and said he would figure it out. The mechanic put power steering liquid in the truck and said it would be fine. The truck was very dirty inside. Upon returning the truck, they had overcharged us by $400 due to the incorrect mileage that was not adjusted. The worker was very slow correcting this issue and very unfriendly. It took another hour to refund the amount and make the adjustments. Overall, renting this truck added an abundance of stress and time to our move which was already stressful enough. We will go with another moving company in the future due to this horrible experience.Stacy C.

I rented the largest truck about a month ago and it was very clean however I just rented a truck a 15 footer and the truck inside was very dirty ,disgusting actually. I had to get a rag and wash the steering wheel. The centre console was like so dirty.However I do not want to be pinpointed but where you're asking I just wanted to express my experience. As well, I was charged $20 more than the bigger truck I had a month ago, not absolutely sure why as I only used both vehicles around town. Brian was excellent as he came in for me 9am on a Sunday. In the last month I used your services twice. This is the first month. With Covid-19 still a public concern I was not expecting such a messy interior.Picture yourself getting into a rent a car and the interior was rotten.dave H.
