With the recent U-Haul scaling back of service in the Yukon, I'm rarely able to get the unit I want (often a 5x9 open trailer, sometimes a 4x8 deck trailer). Both this rental and the next one in June, the unit I wanted isn't available. I sold my pickup because a U-Haul was easy and cost-effective, now I wish I had it back.

WARREN OThe app did not work. It crashed every 30-40 seconds and I had to restart the process about 10 times. It was frustrating and added a lot of time to the pick up process.

Donna LI would like an option to be able to buy UHaul blankets as they are good quality. When packing they are extremely useful around glass items.

Costumer service was great and the road side assistance was excellent because when I had a tire replacement they manage to refund me all the expenses that I shouldered. Overall 8 out of 10…

JOSEPH GThe truck was from Florida and the tires were not appropriate for winter conditions. Truck got stuck twice and had to be towed up slight incline with snow. Passenger side wiper did not work, also horrible in winter conditions. And apparently the truck had recently been inspected by an Alaskan mechanic so no excuse for lack of winter readiness. I have used U-Haul for every move for decades and I've never encountered equipment this inappropriate for seasonal conditions. Might just hire movers next time as this was huge inconveniences on my move day.

MANUEL GI need a refund. The equipment was dirty and dash lights were on. I had issue after issue with support team.
ROYAL PIf you can avoid driving a uhaul during the winter I recommend it. There’s no block heater or winter tires, I got stuck twice and froze out once. Luckily there were people nearby who were kind enough to rescue me. We had a major dump of snow during my rental and driving the empty truck in the snow was terrifying without winter tires. For experienced winter drivers only.

Louise kTruck was smoked in. and required a wiper blade and when we returned it, we were asked to wash it We did not wash it because of flight schedules and was charged to our rental fee that was under $6000.00 of rentals
ALBERTO LI have rented from this location several times for short moves, and my experience has always been good. One time the floor of the cube truck was a bit greasy, which made the move trickier and had my shoes making marks for a short while after. However, I think that was a one-off situation. Other than that, staff have always been competent and professional.

Steven JLocal office was good and very helpful. Real problem is that there is often no equipment of the right size in Whitehorse, Yukon. So I had to pay for 2 full weeks more than I needed, because a trailer of the size I needed came in on September 9th and there was no guarantee that there would be one of that size when I needed it on Sept. 24th and I had to be out of my apartment by the 30th. So I paid $300 more than I should have for 15 days at $20 per day, with the trailer just sitting in my driveway, because I had job commitments till the 23rd and couldn't leave any earlier. U-Haul is normally very dependable and I've always trusted the service, but this was the 2nd time in a year that I had to move and I was put to great deal of cost and inconvenience both times due to the scarcity of equipment in the North.

April CUhaul Alaska can coordinate better with the local Whitehorse location. I was told that there was no trailers in the size I ordered in Whitehorse and this location had 6 of them in that size, and all were available.

LEANDER SAuto transport was in need of some WD-40 or some grease, was my only complaint ! Excellent product, easy to use, excellent customer service, and provided flexibility on scheduling.

Jude EThe local dealer was excellent and very helpful. I do have a serious concern with the U-Haul representative I dealt with on the phone. On August 2 I was at Calgary airport waiting for my flight to Whitehorse when I received a text to contact U-Haul. When I called the representative advised me that the truck I had reserved may not be available but there was one due back on the morning of my reservation on August 5 between 9 and 9:30. Plus that he would call that morning if, and when, the truck arrived. He said there was no guarantee that a truck would be available for me. I asked him if this happened would there be any other vehicle at all available and he said NO. I was extremely upset as I was under the impression that I had a reservation and the vehicle I reserved would be available. This caused me a great deal of stress and anxiety over the next few days and it's possible my trip was a wasted effort. Also I would be out the money for airlines tickets and travel expenses. Upon arriving in Whitehorse and checking the dealer's lot I noticed numerous trucks available. I received not call on August 4 as I was advised when making the reservation. On August 5 I waited until approximately 10AM for a call but nothing. I then contacted the local dealer who said our truck was waiting and ready to go. I never did receive another call for the representative. I feel this was very poor customer service and caused my a lot of needless worry. Again the local dealer was great but the phone representative was not.
