I dropped off during open hours. I asked if there was anything I needed to do to close my rental. I was told no. In order to be credited with returning equipment, I had to drive back, and perform check-in myself on-line using u-haul app. If personnel had just said use the app, it would have saved me a return trip.Mark S.

I will never rent a U-haul from that location. Contact was written for .29 per mile and I was charged .89 per mile. I have contacted the location and the Corporate office and still not fixed. They also keep trying to get money from my credit card. Poor businessJESSICA S.
I don't know who is responsible for the upkeep of the vehicle, but the fact that my check engine light came on, the steering made noises when turning hard, engine noise at 55 and brakes seemed a bit troubled has me leaning away from U-haul. I was praying it didnt break down when moving.john C.
Improve customer service at the reservation center! They gave us a higher per mile rate as we were getting a truck locally. Then they switched it to a facility nearly in another state the times the distance. The longer distance should have qualified us for the lower per mile rate but I was told that wouldn't change it because I already had a contract at the higher price! The price per mile is based on miles driven- they changed the truck location not me. The rate should have been changed. The extra time spent driving to get the truck was also incredibly inconvenient. I will never use uhual again and have told everyone I know to stay away.Jeffrey W.

Be consistent in pricing. I rented 6x12 for $230 going from Dandridge,TN to Roscoe Il 2 months ago. Now I rented same 6x12 going FROM Roscoe,IL to Dandridge,TN AND WAS CHARGED $930.!!!!!!!! I wanted to rent it NOT buy it!Elliot H.

The previous driver was a smoker and there were ashes in many places inside the vehicle. The previous driver also had a sticky substance on the inside windshield - looks like an exploding soda. However, the person I dealt with was very good.Mark G.

Gas tank was quoted as full. I got in and it was a line below the full. When returned, I put gas in until the gas stopped, but am being charged for more gas after dropping it off? I've emailed and received no response.MICHELLE M.

I had a horrible experience. I returned the uhaul Oct 5 and put the fuel level back to full but it wouldnt register to full and the tank only went to 3/4 and I was charged for 17.00 of fuel and about 1 week and half later after dropping it off I was charged when the guy said it would be 2-3 days after my drop off.Melissa P.

Tony's was great - however, I booked the truck for pickup at Forest Hills Road, Loves Park, IL for 6 pm on Thursday 8/8, (3 miles from my home) and you changed me w/ 2 days to go to Beloit WI (Tony's on the IL border), which closes at 3:30. Had to pick up Friday morning - over 20 miles away. Total bait and switch - terrible system and your central phone number personnel was actually confrontational - "this is how it is - take it or leave it". Next time I'll leave it and go w/ Penske or Enterprise. You need to change this.Kevin K.
The contract somehow had wrong mileage listed and was almost charged $26.80 for it. Good thing I photographed gauge cluster showing fuel level and mileage before leaving. The pic had time, date, & location stamp on it. So happy I did that otherwise I would of had a charge for 67 miles at $0.40 a mile. Not nice. Very unhappy how that part went down.Matthew B.

I forget his name, but the man at this location who helped me was really nice and answered all of my questions - no problem. Id definitely go back if I needed to. I don't know where else to put this- my pickup location was changed because the people who were supposed to bring their truck to the janesville location were late. Not U-Hauls fault that people suck. I called back, (To a call center I assume) to ask why my location changed to further away - a hassle I wasn't expecting. The guy I spoke to was very nice and explained what happened. He then offered to add more miles so I wouldn't be charged for the additional distance. He also offered $20 dollars off. When I arrived to pick up the truck neither of these things were applied to my order, nor were there any notes added to explain the situation. I think, especially with call centers, communication is a must. Luckily the man who helped me believed me when I told him this, but another customer may not be so lucky.Kayla J.
