I don't have any comments for improvements. Picking up & dropping off were extremely easy at this location (Total Box Supply in Marina del Rey). This is the 2nd time I've had to rent from then and Edwin in particular has been extremely helpful & accommodating -- but everyone here has been friendly & helpful.

This was a horrible experience. I believe I chose this location because of distance to my home and availability but I regret doing so. Upon arrival the sales person at the pick up location informed me that he did not have the moving blankets I requested in my reservation. The next thing he told me was that the truck I rented had an empty tank and I would have to get gas immediately. When I entered the truck it was noticeably dirty. Also the dashboard read that tire pressure was too low. I went to get moving blankets at another U-Haul location and there was plenty of availability for the truck I rented in their lot. The woman working at this location also informed me that third party locations never have blankets or moving supplies. Which was never noted in my original reservation. I also called U-Haul in real time and the woman at the customer service line could offer no assistance. She also claimed my reservation never included moving blankets because the man at the pick up location had edited the reservation to remove them from my bill. Suffice to say my move was delayed up to an hour or more with pick up and drop off of the blankets as well as getting gas. Please get back to me with comments.

PAULA KAbsolutely disgusting dirty truck. Food on the floor and in between seats. Truck felt like it was going to shake apart (especially when braking). Interior lights didn't always work. Seems to be consistent with U-Haul these days.

BRYON MFuel reading was incorrect at pickup. Online checkin didn’t adjust. Drop off took more than 24 hours to finalize and I was charged for not refueling despite returning the vehicle after driving a total of 8 miles.

MITCHELL NFilled up the tank to the specified level to not be charge for more fuel. They charged me for $16 extra saying that the fuel gauge was lower than it was. Bummed at the level of service and honesty from this location.

David MThe truck was filthy. There was actual soiled toilet paper between the driver and passenger seat. The truck smelled strongly of marijuana and what I can only describe as “other foul smells”. I get pot is legal in Cali but in many states I traveled through it’s not. The visor was broken and falling off and the car was pulling and after about 40-50 miles I got an indication to put air in the driver front tire. Several of our boxes were wet and some of our stuff wrapped in plastic also had puddles of water on it upon arrival. There was rope attached to the handle people hold onto while driving in the passenger seat and I tried but couldn’t get the knot out so I returned with the rope still attached. I literally called U-Haul in tears over the state of the truck prior to the movers packing and in route. I was concerned as to whether the truck would make it and what options I had for roadside assistance. My movers actually helped me clean up the truck before leaving. I also called the third party place I picked it up from within blocks of leaving the facility and they basically told me to call U-Haul and that basically this what U-Haul’s are like in Los Angeles. That U-Haul needs to deliver the truck clean and mechanically functional or inspected or whatever. Also when I was signing paper work the store attendant made a comment about the state of the truck and how it wasn’t a nice one. I couldn’t return the truck because the movers were waiting. I had already paid and scheduled everything. I was so nervous about things going wrong on moving day I even called the third party vendor on Thursday to make sure everything was a go and the third party had already received the truck for my Saturday pick up. There was plenty of time to clean the truck but both parties are pointing fingers at each other while I was stuck driving down the road in this disgusting truck. It was so gross even after an entire container of Clorox wipes I refused to eat in it. I aired it out as I drove which was freezing, I would quite literally NEVER recommend getting a truck from the place in Marina Del Rey. Zero stars and if I could cuss here I probably would. I will never understand why U-Haul would rent that truck for a day use let alone 2200 mile nearly cross country trip.
ERIN BI don’t think the location prep trucks before renting them so it was not that clean but ok. The staff and Edwin was outstanding with their service. U-Haul told me last minute that I had to pick up the truck in south central… I’m glad I stopped by total box the day before because they did have one available.
