Was rerouted to drive an additional 45 minutes after arriving at my drop off location, due to it being at capacity. The manager at the Santa Monica location is very kind, but whoever he called to figure out where I needed to go called customers stupid on speaker. I did not recieve a text, nor a call that I would be having to drive to a different location, and I genuinely could not believe that I was being asked to do so. While the manager was on the phone, one of the workers at the Santa Monica location parked my rented U-haul in such a way that it was almost impossible to manuever off the premises. This was done in order to make space for all the trucks behind me that apparantly, they did have space for. Additionally, there is very little sinage at the Marina del Rey location and knowing where to park is not obvious. I initially missed the turn and had to circle the block in order to drop the van and the keys off. To make matters worse, I thought "the least U-haul could do for this major inconvenience is to offer some sort of discount, after all they made me drive their truck to a new location after their mistake on securing a drop off location." Not only did that not occur, but there was no apology for having a customer drive an additional 45 minutes to a new location without warning and an hour and a half back to their new home. My round trip should have been 25 minutes there and 25 minutes back. Instead, I get called stupid, am forced to drive to a new location, and have to find a new way of getting home from said location. Not going to sugar coat it, this experience has led me to decide that for my next move I am paying for movers and not having to deal with any of this crap again. Not sure how such a large company had an oversight like that.
