YANINA POur reservation was scheduled for 8am. No one was on property when we arrived. We called the location number and left messages and started calling other locations in the area because we were on a fixed schedule. The location employee showed up 25 minutes late and did not even offer an apology. When returning the truck, we has the same issue. Location employee was nowhere to be found and online check out was not working. I finally dropped the keys in the drop box, sent the location employee a text message, and called U-Haul directly to check out. The location employee text me back 25 minutes later. Either her clock was off by 25 minutes all day or mine was, but being prompt and on time is the basics of employment and customer service.

Jim CLocation indicated that they open for business at 8AM. I arrived at 8AM ready to pick up my rental and had to wait outside until approximately 8:30 because nobody was there to open the store. When I returned the truck at approximately 2PM, the same thing happened- nobody was there to receive the rental return. Used the key drop box and left them a VM asking for a phone call to confirm the return. I never heard back from them. The rental itself went fine but I'd be hesitant to rent from this store again due to lack of staffing and support.

Ian HThe electronic return was frustrating bc the app rejected my mileage every time I put it in. After 6-8 tries, I just dropped my keys. However, when I drove by later, a very kind & friendly female employee assured me my transaction was completed.
Rosanna WThe employee was 30 minutes late to check out equipment. My appointment was at 9 am, he showed up at 930 am. Upon returning, the same employee is unfriendly and seems to not care about his position or assisting customers.

Taylor JMake sure vehicle is clean as I left it for some one else, did not had windshield washer fluid as vehicle had dirt spots front window when I drove it. Also brought vehicle on time and I received a notice saying I was late to return it. Make sure whoever is in charge to récord correctly to avoid problems.

Raymond BI rent a truck with a dollie, when I get there to pick up they told they don’t have any dollie available, so they send to another location for the dollie, it means I have to drive 12 miles more. I have to pay dot those 12 miles and they women from the store added me an insurance which I did not requiere. They just charge $35 more for that and they didn’t want to refund me that money back!!
Marvin CWindshields were dirty and windshield washer fluid was empty. Front end felt like it was about to break down at any moment. The truck needs to be driven by maintenance and be worked on before it breaks down on the next renter. Your female employee in office was very helpful and nice.
Dessie MWe had an issue picking up the vehicle. There was no employees the location at the time of our pick. Our reservation was moved to a mobile pickup. Needless to say, after spending an hour on the phone speaking with three different departments we finally were able to access the code to the lock to receive the vehicle. It is a good thing we showed up early or we would have been significantly late to our pickup destination. If an individual was not tech savvy the mobile pickup would have been a nightmare for them.

Parker MThe agent renting me the truck was very pushy when I insisted on declining the insurance coverage. He also had a negative attitude from then on and treated me with contempt. He also wouldn’t get up out of his seat to check the van back in so that I could get a receipt when we returned and said he’d do it later. I asked if he could do it now and he said he would do it later and that I would get texted or emailed a receipt. I was not impressed with him at all. Terrible customer service. Lazy worker who sat the entire time and was fiddling on his cellphone and didn’t want to be bothered with me the customer.

Oreta TI used the truck for less than 2 hours, traveled 18 miles, and was charged $1.29 for each mile, plus charges for 3 gallons of gas at insane rates. I assumed that since you were charging $1.29 per mile (a very full charge) that this included fuel. When I called to discuss this with the "manager" he was rude and insulted me for not having read the fine print of the contract. I will not be going back to this location, or likely even using your service with these insane rates that you charge.
Jon CI had it reserved for 8 and they guy hadn’t even checked the truck in and was late. Didn’t get it until after 8:30. He also marked it as 1/4 tank of gas but it was under and I had to add even more money to make sure it was above where I got it from or I would have been charged. The truck was dirty. I had to clean it of trash.

SHACKE RI ordered a dollie and it wasn’t there. I was also told several things that they didn’t follow through on and I kept having to call to verify or change things. The mistakes they made were not my fault but they weren’t willing to work with me.

KHORY CI needed blankets. But they didn’t have any. Also, the whole thing they put us through to return keys at night, with the photos and uploading and all that didn’t work for me and seemed unnecessary. Otherwise it was good. Thanks

DEBORAH GWhen we dropped the truck off, the manager was very rude because we were a few minutes late. The next customer had not even arrived to pick up the truck, but we were still charged for an extra day. On top of that, the manager said that the police were about to come looking for me for being late... 30 minutes late. What a joke.
BENJAMIN BThe local rep was good, but the problem was I reserved the truck for 8:00a and they didn't open until 9:00, so I chose the pickup option without the lobby experience. I couldn't log into the U-Haul website with my phone--it just wouldn't let me. It never sent the confirmation code via text or email, the local guy came in and helped as he could. He gave me a phone number for U-Haul the lady there must have been having a bad day. She was rude, put me on hold and then called the local guy 10' away from me, I heard him say he couldn't log in either, then she came back on the phone to me and told me he would help me. He couldn't even log in! Finally after 45 minutes, I got the truck, NO thanks to the U-Haul customer service folks. I had movers at my site waiting for me for an hour at $50 an hour with nothing to do. But U-Haul would do nothing. And while the guy was helping me, another customer came in who had to change his reservation from the night before because he couldn't get into the site to pick up the truck. This was terrible customer service on U-Haul's part. Let me be clear that no responsibility falls on the local Towne Storage guy. He did all he could, but he takes the heat because he has to deal with the frustrated customer while the U-Haul reps send everyone to him. I will not rent from U-Haul again. I'll pay more and rent Ryder or someone else.
