No one ever called us back. With a 26-foot truck, unknowing that we had to drive up a steep entrance with three spots that the truck didn’t fit, we had to back it down the drive to park on the road. There was nothing about this on the website.

PATRICIA MIt was a Sunday, so no one was there, but directions etc were clear and simple. Putting a sign about parking trucks on the street at the bottom of the steep driveway would be helpful. The first place U-Haul sent us to drop off was not even built yet, and I had to cancel an uber the airport and lose $25 because the U-Haul transportation person sent us there first. Lucky to not miss our flight!

DARRYL WTowne Storage staff is friendly and easy to work with, but no storage location in southern Utah has ever heard of the 1 month free self-storage promotion offered with 1-way Uhaul rental and they recommended that I call 1800go-uhaul, which I promptly did. Even the Uhaul Representative at 1800go-uhaul was shocked that there was nothing he could do to find me a location for my free promotional 1 month of storage which corporate Uhaul promised me. The Uhaul system is broken and unacceptable. The folks at Towne Storage helped me out and we decided to abandon Uhaul and leave them out of our storage deal, but we came to a fair agreement and they provided me the service I needed when Uhaul completely failed to do so.

JOSEF CQuick and easy. It worked out that I would be done early with the truck. A new renter was scheduled to pick up the next morning and the location called to see if I could drop it off earlier than scheduled. I love good customer service and they provided it.
Garrett CAccording to the rental facility I drove the truck over 90 miles. Which is difficult when the facility is 4.5 miles away from the house I was moving from and the house I was moving to was a mile away from the old house. I maybe went 20 miles. But according to there records, that’s not the case. The app was not working properly when I checked in, it said that it failed, while I was going through the check in process. Also, when I checked the truck back in, the app failed again. So now I am going to be charged about $80 for miles I didn’t incur.
ROBERT BMy recently rented a U-Haul truck was a bit disappointing. The interior was dirty, with dust and grime throughout, and there was even trash left in the driver's side door pockets. The truck had high mileage and felt worn down. The windshield was also quite dirty on the outside and in need of cleaning, which made driving difficult. While the truck worked for the move, the lack of cleanliness and maintenance was frustrating. I cleaned the exterior of the windshield and cleaned up the interior of the vehicle as well, prior to returning it. U-Haul needs to step up their upkeep.
AMBER SNo issues with the pickup location staff. Very helpful and understanding. The issue encountered was; U-Haul logistics, wherever it was located, changed the pickup location the day before I was scheduled to pick up the truck and the size of truck rented. Although not a huge deal about the pick up location but an inconvenience and plans had to be adjusted to make the timeline I was on. However, the larger truck, which I didn't need, required more gas to make the trip, so more money out of my pocket. The person who contacted me to let me know of the change in pickup location has the worst job in the world. She was very polite and listened to my complaining but was powerless to make any decisions. Basically, not her fault. U-Haul at the level above this Dealer has limited concern for the customer and will most likely not give my review any regard.
Steven WMake sure that the back is cleaned out because I found a hypodermic needle sticking through the slats on the side. It was filled with a brown substance. I came close to pricking myself. The AC fan switch was not functioning correctly, I had to keep turning it on and off to get it to work.

Steven BI scheduled to pick up my truck at 8:30. I was told I could pick it up even though the location was closed. I got there at 8:30 and had nothing but trouble. Called U-Haul twice to try to figure out where the keys to the truck were. They told me it was in a certain box, but the only box this location had was the drop box. This location opened at 9 to which the front desk girl was very unapologetic and really seemed to not care that we had been there trying to get our rental for 30 minutes. She claimed their website stated there wasn't any lock boxes and where to pick up keys before they officially opened, but that is not true. To which she said in a very bored, uncaring voice "I'll have my manager look into it". In St. George 30 minutes is very crucial especially in the very hot summer months. I would not rent from this location again. Very disappointed. I've used U-Haul a lot and this was the worst experience I've had using them.

Half the shit I went through should have been figured out BEFORE I even got there. It took me less time to sign up for the army.

Paul SPick up was scheduled for Hurricane, UT. A couple days prior to pick up my location was changed. A little further than my original requested site. Trailer was 4-pin electrical hookup, my tow vehicle was 7-pin. I had to go to Tractor Supply and buy an adapter; $21.

I used the app to reserve a truck and was forced to say I didn’t want page after page of services, some of which were automatically selected for me. If someone older went through this process I would expect them to pay for things they didn’t know they were selecting.

Chris LIf you allow drop off's at this location, a disclaimer regarding the need to leave vehicle on the street would be helpful. It is a steep driveway, with NO room to park the larger units. Had to back out and park on the street. A simple reminder to people that it does NOT fit 26 foot trucks would be advisable

James MThere is no Wi-Fi service for the pick it up yourself option. The truck burned oil we had to stop four (4) times and check it at nine bucks a quart. I would like to be reimbursed please The wipers leave a swath directly in the left middle and the driver can't see, it needs new wipers That location was so far from my residence for pickup and it was a small truck I don't understand why it couldn't have swapped places with a lot that was closer and did have room for it or a trade

Evonne DThere was a problem with my truck pick up at the original location I selected and we weren’t going to get it on the day we had reserved. I called Towne Storage in Washington. He was a miracle worker!! He took the time to call a customer with a truck that might be coming back to his location in time for us to get it. He then moved our reservation to his location and he prepped the truck for us on his day off so we could get it on the day we needed. He was amazing! He saved us! I can’t recommend this location enough. He will go above and beyond and he was so friendly. Thank you for all you did to help us!
LISA SI didn’t get the 26’ truck I reserved weeks in advance. You all contacted me and changed my reservation saying you could only guarantee me a 20’. I called a couple days in advance to see if you had any 26’ trucks you said no but didn’t touch base with me when you got those other 2 26’ trucks in when you knew that’s what we wanted. When I picked it up you had the 2 26’ trucks there. I had to make two trips when the 26’ truck would have made it only take the one. I will definitely not be using uhaul again and will tell everyone I know to use a different company as well.
