As I was dropping off the truck, the owner saw me and actually ran into his house (which is attached to the rental office) to avoid having to check me in. To make matters worse, I was charged an extra day rental - which is ridiculous as I dropped it off the SAME DAY as I picked it up. I had until Sunday, but dropped it off at 6:30pm on Saturday - I have sent my complaint to customer service but have received no reply or refund. U-Haul owes me $54.86
Flemming Ahorrible experience. reserved a truck and appliance dolly in advance. made arrangements for time and hired mover to help move a fridge. when arrived at store, verified with employee that the truck had an appliance dolly since all plans depended on it. was insured there was one in truck. took truck and arrived at location with fridge to find no dolly. called office and got no answer. returned truck and was told by employee that there are no dollys at that location and that he advised I drive the truck to a different location to find a dolly. His suggestion required I spend time I don't have and money for miles and gas. I did my diligence, but the company failed. not only did i have to cancel my plans and not use hired help, the company insisted on charging me and refused to drop charge even though i didn't use the truck. I should have been compensated but instead, robbed. Managment is inaccessible. Customer service didn't help. Employee was rude. The manager chose to lose a customer over a rental charge he didn't deserve. Horrible company.

JEREMIAH LIt is ten miles from where I made the reservation. It cost $20 for Uber and over an hour to check out the truck. The gas gauge looked full but after three full tanks from our drive, we realized it was 10 gallons short of being full.

We did a after hours pickup and the U-Haul phone customer service representative was extremely helpful when we picked up the truck. We appreciated her patience with us in using the U-Haul app.

CHRIS AI called the number on the storage facility multiple times. It was after hours and I could not locate the drop box. My wife and I both walked around the building and could not locate it. After and hour or calling them and Uhaul, no answers, we just left. I returned the next day to give the key to the employee there. Just like I had to take a picture of where I parked the Uhaul, there should be a picture of where the lock box is. The storage place had a new name from what Uhaul was telling me also, but the address was correct. So I am not sure if the new owners moved the drop box or what. But using the app for drop off and pick up over all was way cool, but very poor picking up and dropping off on the weekend (when everyone moves) with no support.

Steven SIt was a little confusing finding someone there as it was Saturday and the office was actually closed. Fortunately the manager saw us there and came and opened up the office and took care of the return. He was actually great and very friendly and fun to talk to. When scheduling the return online I didn't know that there was full service Uhaul location even closer to my destination than this location that would have been easier to find and do the return at, but it all worked out in the end so no problems.
Justin PBoth locations were great. I would rate you website poor. It wanted me to drop off the truck at a location 10 miles farther away, and it wanted to charge me $10 more than the contract price.
Richard PSuper quick and easy
Drew RTruck was beat up and dirty. The tank was not 1/4 full like they had recorded on the agreement. I had him change that to under a 1/4 tank manually. The truck was not at the pickup location I selected online and we got lost trying to find it. It was further out so I went over the 30 mile limit and the guy at the drop off charged me 50 cents for the overage. I think Uhaul should have waived that.

Drew CThis was not the drop off location, this was a truck transfer point due to a faulty transmission. Unfortunately, Jeremy at this location, was not looped in by U-Haul as to what was happening. Such poor communication on U-haul's part - Woods Cross was not the problem here.
April ADid not notify about drop-off time and forgot to give us furniture pads
Spencer PThe truck was ready when I arrived to get it. The paperwork was filled out and ready. Got us going fairly quickly. Good service. The windshield wipers on the truck needed attention. They "chattered" badly on misty windows. I guess this might be hard to check out, I reported it to the drop-off station -- hope they will check it out.
Morley FBetter training, it should not take 45 minutes to pick up a pre-scheduled truck. Your phone staff also needs training, this was supposed to be prepaid as the organization was paying for it, not the individual picking up the truck.

Tim SOur family's Uhaul experience this past week has been very frustrating in many ways. 1. Every time I wanted to change my reservation I was transferred to 4 different people. 2. When I scheduled my reservation I asked for a 10 am pick up at Bountiful instead the night before I notice it's for a 5:45 pm pick up. 3. When I spoke with the Uhaul customer service at Woods Cross to get quotes. They gave me a quote for a 10X10 storage and uhaul pick up at $135.00. That was included with a one way pick up and 1 month free storage in Centerville they said it's more expensive if you do it that way. Come to find out it was a better and more cheaper way to go. (UHH!) 4. My husband waited 40 mins outside because the person was showing a storage unit to someone. So he couldn't pick up on time and we had movers waiting around at the house. I am really dissapointed in my experience and wouldn't recommend Uhaul to a friend. I'm in need to rent a truck on October 1st and contemplating if I should use Uhaul in the future.

scott Jwiper blade on right side is detached from arm. I did not need the wipers so I didn't try to reattach it to the arm.
Dayne MI arrived there at 5:45pm (15 minutes before they are to close). However they were already closed with two men still inside. I knocked on the window and they ignored me. I called and they refuse to answer their phone. I made a long special trip to get a rental, but they didn't even come to the door to take to me. I suggest that they honor their sign and stay open till 6, and NEVER ignore a customer. I had to go to Arlington U-Haul and they were willing to stay open a little later if needed.
RYAN LYou caused a lot of stress by sending a recovery e-mail about the truck not being returned. The truck was returned same day after hours. Wasted my time to call to let Uhaul's recovery team and navigate the recovery IVR and actually talk to a live person.

Gary MThe agent who helped us was very kind and seemed very dedicated to providing us with good service, however the location overall did not seem equipped to be handling any part of the rental process. They had no record of our reservation. We waited for nearly an hour while their computer loaded the information because it was slow and outdated equipment. Additionally, there was not even enough room for in the driveway for more than one car to pull in and out, and there was a total of 3 parking spaces in their parking lot... definitely not easy or convenient to deal with but we did not want to pay additional costs for having to drive further.
SHAMIKA WWhen contract is explained it should be clear as to the time the truck is to be returned. I was told it had to be back Sunday. Period. Not set time. Of course I should have had a lawyer review the contract.

Steven FWhen we arrived to pick up our rental truck the people had gone to lunch. They new the approximate time we were to arrive and no one was available. Finally a girl who lives at the location went and found the maintenance man (who was very helpful) who knew how to check us out. We had a very short window of time to pick up our truck and get to a storage pod where our personal items were located. We originally reserved a truck at a location located at about 40 s and state street approximate location. I cannot recall the exact location but did not find out until the day of our rental that we would need to go to another location,Last week we rented a truck from what was supposed to be the Tooele, Ut location only to find that we had to go to Grantsville to pick up our truck. upon arriving in Grantsville we were told they had no pads at this location. We had requested 30, we were told we would need to go to another location in salt lake city to pick up some pads. In any event I am not sure we would ever use Uhaul again, We drove the first truck to Santa Clara, Utah and were to drop it off in Ivins. We went to this location and were told we would have to take it to another location in St. George. You guys need to get this straight, if you are going to have locations where trucks can be picked up, then the truck needs to be at that location.The people in Ivins said they had told Uhaul to take them off the Uhaul list repeatedly to no avail.We are not very satisfied customers.I will not recommend Uhaul to anyone.Poor customer service, I paid a good amount of money for bad customer service.
