I reserved blankets online and once I got to the location, they said there were none left. This was incredibly frustrating and represented poor communication/organization on a very time sensitive day. I ran over to Penske instead where I was given many blankets for free... I also did not like how the gas tank requirement was for a quarter tank full instead of full because that can slow down the moving process if we had to stop for gas. Nor did I like how I wasn’t told up front that I would be charged per mile driving, it seems like a bit of a bait-and-switch tactic. Overall, this was a little frustrating and disappointing, but the job got done so for that I am satisfied. Not sure if I would want to rent from this location again because of the organization issues.
JULIA FCustomer service is great !
JOCELYN GPayed estimated 94.64 when I brought truck back instead of tacking the 63.92 out of initial money you tacked on this amount and now my 94.64 is being held hostage as an amount pending. In other words until you refund my 94.64 as far as my bank is concerned is spent money. Adding up to 158.56 money I can't use for 3 to 5 days or whenever you decide to refund my initial 94.64. With inflation and cost of living these days, this is unacceptable.
HAROLD BMy negative answers stems from my horrific drive to my storage facility on the other side of the state. After I picked up the Uhaul truck, I was noticed the quality of the windshield wipers. They were extremely thin, and lightweight. It was raining, and the windshield wipers were doing a poor job with visability. I considered stopping at an auto store, and replacing the windshield wipers. But I needed to get over a mountain pass before an incoming storm created whiteout conditions. That was a mistake. There was rain mixed with snow as soon as the elevation increased, alternating with snow, rain etc. The windshield was covered with an icy film that the windshield wipers were incapable of clearing. And yes, the dash defroster was on high, as was the temperature in the cab. But it did not help. I centered the truck behind semi trucks while driving, because I could see their tail lights somewhat through the ice. I have decades of experience driving I the snow. (I grew up in Alaska). That drive was the most dangerous experience I've ever had behind the wheel. My ability to see was severely hampered by the poor visability. I am somewhat at a loss in understanding why those wipers were used in the first place. Whoever installed them, are liable for criminal neglect. It is inconceivable a technician would not have been aware of the wipers poor condition. Luck was with me, not to have been in an accident, although there were a few near misses. I guarantee, in the event this vehicle in driven with the outside temperatures in the low 30's, and under, there WILL be an accident.
