Great lighting outside I picked up the vehicle at night with my 12 year old daughter and it was late at night so it was nice that the whole parking lot was visible. I can't say the same for the location on 116 Manville Road, they need to invest in better lighting you can only see the vehicle because of the street lightFred G.

I got dinged with a damage fee when I did not damage the vehicle. There was not a proper inspection done by the employees on the previous condition of the vehicle before I rented. This was evident as they had the incorrect gas tank levels and they failed to indicate previous damages which they ended up trying to pin on me. I don't think I will using U-haul in the future.Lawrence C.
My experience was a total crash and burn. I started out at another location. Steeles and Kennedy area. The owner did not set up on line pick up. So there were a few of us there to pick up trucks. There was nobody there and they were not picking up the phone number we were directed to. After an hour on hold with Uhaul we got put on hold several more times. I was then sent to another location 30 minutes away to pick up a truck. When I got to that location I was sent to by head office there was no truck. I then had to drive another 30 minutes to a different location. Then on line check in was not working properly. I have used it in past but this time it gave me trouble. Thankfully there was someone on site to help. I started out at 9:30 am and was not on the road with a vehicle( Smaller then what I ordered over a month ago) until 12:30. It was a wasted half a day and hours of driving around trying to get my vehicle. All while our movers sat around and waited. The entire experience was horrible. I broke down and cried at one point I was so frustrated. Terrible customer service and stress in a time where we all need less stress. Just Brutal.Renee D.

I had problem with the app to self check-in and The guy working there helped me a lot, so this review is for this location and not my overall U-haul experienceALI M.
I did mobile check in and one of the choices for additional requirements before being given the lock box code was a contact who would be phoned. The instructions need to indicate that the contact must be phoned and reached BEFORE the key is released. I gave a contact in another time zone, since the instructions simply said they would be contacted, not when or that it was required BEFORE I would get the key. Because of having to wait (and I arrived 15-20 minutes early to the pick up location), I was late for my apartment moving elevator time. It was the only frustrating part of my rental. This was one of the worst experiences I had to go through on my whole life! The Day before pickup I called the location to ask for a second utility dolly (my order included one utility dolly and one furniture dolly) they told me that I won't be getting any dollies at all! and that there is a shortage and they can't bring them from the US bla bla bla. I replied that I am moving to a new apartment and I can't do that without the dollies, and the truck will be useless without them. The answer is that I can cancel the truck booking! So I told them I am moving out of my apartment to a new one and I have the elevators booked at both locations and the move has to be done on that day and the is no way I can reschedule and they are giving me a short notice where it's impossible to find alternatives. I called U-HAUL to try to find an alternative location that has the dollies but they were of no help. Long story short, after hours of stress and frustration, they offered me appliance dollies and a very old and useless furniture dolly (not a U-Haul one)! This made my move so much harder as their furniture dolly can't be pushed easily so we had to carry most of the furniture! Also the utility dollies are too heavy to be used frequently for boxes so we had to carry that extra weight with each trip we had to do between the elevators and the truck so the moving was sooo much harder it should and it took much more time than it should! And above all that we were not able to move all our stuff to the truck as the elevator can only be booked for 3 hours and the dollies they gave us made the move very slow and very much harder than it should. So 1st they did not provide the equipment I had booked weeks ago, 2nd I learned that fact at the last moment where it was impossible to find an alternative solution, 3rd I called U-HAUL they did not help, all they did was to give me the phone number of that location! 4th I had to pay for dollies that are not useful for our move, 5th those dollies made the move way much harder and longer and we couldn't move everything on time and we had to endure the heavy weight of those appliance dollies. It was a very very very very bad experience that we had to go through.Mohamad E.

Location said, we can come and pickup any time as it's a mobile pickup. When arrived, the van was there but contract was cancelled. Total of 3.5 miserable hours spent on the phone with U-HAUL call centre creating a new contract to pickup instantly. Wait time on the phone was quite high but people there was quite helpful.Anup M.
I paid 20 dollars extra for pads and utility dolly, but they were not provided with the truck, and since I was in a hurry and it was a holiday (Jan 1st), I could not find anyone to help me with this issue. Every time I use U-Haul, your lax booking system ends up messing up my timing and what's available. I booked a 5x8 trailer at one location, was given a 4x8 in a location across town. This is messed up. The local person (Jimmy Ding) was great and helpful. But U-Haul as a business demonstrates a flagrant disrespect for customers' time.Reza R.

Everything about our rental experience was very good. The truck was well maintained and easy to drive. Checking in and out were easy. The billing was quick and accurate. There is only one problem. We had difficulty finding Trusty Car Rental. As we drove south on Pharmacy we couldn't see the office. The colours are all faded and hard to spot. On the way back we pulled into the little strip mall and then we found it. Maybe better signage? Otherwise we were very happy.Shelley C.

I requested for a furniture dolly when I made the reservation. I spoke with the U-Haul customer service agent on the phone twice prior to picking up my truck. The agent did not inform me they were not able to provide the furniture dolly for my reservation. There was clearly a lack of communication between staff, as well as staff and customer. Needed a last minute move for a couch but jesus christ.. Totally outrageous charges. There are movers that offer the exact same price that include pickup and delivery. I have 0 idea how this company charges so much. Even on the estimated price it shows drastically lower and then you guys add in like a bunch of extra charges. Horrible experience. It took me two days to book a 15' truck for moving out of a 2 bedroom apartment. Finally I managed to reserve one with the customer service rep for office pick up. No one ever told me that there is no office and no one manning the location. It got worse when I finally managed to find the location to find out there is only one 10' truck is parked at back. I had to jump through hoops to contact the owner and find out that that is all he has to offer and to get the key, I have to call customer service. Then customer service rep, instructed me that the only way to open the box is visiting their website and following the instructions ( answering questions, submitting pictures of myself, my driving licence,..........) to get the postcode. I showed up early to ensure I can be ready for reserved elevator, it took me over 30 minutes to just get the truck's key. Then I had to think of how I can get another truck to move what can not be taken to the new place with this one during my allocated time frame. It is unfortunate that no one even gave me a courtesy call to let me know that what I booked and confirmed is not available, ....... All I heard was we are sorry for the inconveniences, a cliche answer which has lost its meaning due to too much abuse. I wasn't going to share this but just because you have sending me email after email for my feedback. Hope this helps.Mohammad S.

Jimmy was very helpful and thoroughly explained my rental of a Cargo Van. It was a 2019 and had no damage on the outside. When I returned the vehicle, he inspected it and the billing was done online. Had a "VERY BAD" experience with u-haul this time. Initially wanted to rent the vehicle from 1875 Leslie but vehicle was not available so had to book at 150 Duncan mills. And then 1hr 50mins before the pick-up time it automatically changed the location to 1810 Pharmacy Ave. NO COMPENSATION WAS OFFERED FOR EXTRA KMS DRIVEN. The van that we rented stinked as if cattle was stuffed in the van before we rented, and since my wife is sentitive to strong smell she kept sneezing all the time. In the end for 27 Kms driven they charged us for 7.52 liters of gas!! (Taking into consideration extra 10Kms of driving back and forth due to unavailability of vehicle). Aslo we were forced into getting the insurance which we had intially rejected. I had rented the same type of van for same kind of purpose back in 2nd week of May 2019 and it costed me $34.74 with a great experience. This time is costed us $69.19 with terrible experience! Definately will not be renting from Uhaul again.Alnoor D.
