Truck had a broken drivers side Mirror. Original truck I was to get wasn’t there, as per my reservation, if the truck I reserved is not in I get a $50 refund. Upon brining the truck back, the employee I contacted to change the time truck was due back, didn’t make these changes. Was called a liar, was given multiple excuses one after another. I have prof in Text messages proving when truck was due back at the time I dropped it off, about the $50 refund that was to be placed on my account. Could even get a receipt when I left the store. Employee told me to come back in two days to get it all straightened out. Now the credit card has been changed and I was expecting to pay cash like I said many times. When trying to pay your bill, why would an employee say come back two days later to talk to a manager then put the money on my credit card as soon as I leave. Bullshit I say.

When I showed up the truck that was booked was not working properly. Lights on the vehicle weren't working and the employee had to get another vehicle. When he got a different vehicle he didn't inform me at the time that it was a entirely different contract and needed to be brought back on a different gas level then initially advised. After moving and returning the vehicle I didn't want to then fuss with going to a gas station after returning the vehicle. Would have been nice to know before being charged extra..

Truck was so so clean, understand it’s winter and harder to keep clean inside and out! I was stopped for no Driver’s side signal light or tail light working, I feel I should have been given a discount, I was not penalized for these issues but I could have been and it could have caused an accident... Otherwise the service is excellent at U-Haul

Rob, Jonathan and staff were extremely helpful and made us feel at home while waiting for our new truck and transfer of our load to commence. Kingston Uhaul Centre arranged a truck and movers to be on-hand to transfer from broken truck to new truck. The movers at Kingston Pro Movers were friendly and efficient. We were back on the road in no time after the broken truck was returned.

Your application. I had to do check out 3 times. I know it’s not really your fault, just wanted to give feedbacks: when you took the pictures horizontals the application will most likely submit/send/reload and therefore it took me 3 times to understand that. Thanks

Make sure actual information/booking information is given to the customer at time of booking, instead of just changing the details of the booking in the email confirmation. Important information to leave to the chance of access to email.

Pickup was OK, but only after a lot of unnecessary panic on my part because the call center said I couldn't get liability insurance--even though it's available to American customers. My own auto insurance company wouldn't touch it, and with less than 24 hours before my big move, I only discovered by accident that Canadian law requires liability insurance to be included in all truck rentals. You might think U-Haul call center people would know that. Nope.

It is my first time renting a truck. It is not clean like other car rental but I assume it is at an acceptable level for truck rental. The process of signing out and return of the truck is simple and quick. The 10' truck is easy to drive around just like a bigger suv. My previous concern is unnecessary.

Horrendous!! One of their employees, to my estimation based on the situation and park job, purposely blocked in my personal truck with their U-Haul Van. I called customer service as the location was closed and they told me I had to wait until the morning to get my truck out of the parking spot that it was blocked in at. I am not from Kingston so to suggest that I had to camp out in the parking lot until the morning to get my truck is absolutely ridiculous. Absolutely terrible customer experience and service!

I dropped off a trailer one hour early, the gentlemen who checked me in was very polite and nice. 3 hours later I received a call from another employee from the same location asking why I had not returned it yet. I explained that it was already there. A few minutes later I received an email invoice charging me for an extra day. After several phone calls and getting bounced around, I finally was able to talk to someone at the location. I was very frustrated with him, and he wasn’t helpful even questioning why I was talking to him while driving. He hung up on me. Currently I still have not been credited for the so called “oversight.” His words. Otherwise this would have been a pleasing, uneventful experience.

Not impressed that the truck had not been swept or cleaned and cigarette butts were left in the ashtray. The truck was provided with only a 1/4 tanks of gas with the expectation to bring it back the same and no reimbursement for unused gas. Staff were not helpful and didn’t care to be helpful. Was told to drive around until the gauge was back to 1/4, if I was concerned about bringing it back with more than a 1/4 tank. Very disappointing experience.

Our experience here is always excellent. We normally try to deal with Rob as he is very personable and genuinely cares about us as customers. We have sent others in our community to see him for their rental needs. We've rented for both our business and our personal needs (kid moves), always an excellent experience and happy to return because of that.

You need a bigger lot. Customers have to leave their vehicle in unsafe (to get across the four lane street) or on someone elses property. Time to do your customers a big favour. We still love you, though.

We were not at all thrilled with the service we received. When we returned the truck the employee was not able to refund our deposit because the trailer had not been returned to them (couldn't because it never came with us) After several phone calls over two days, someone in Traffic was finally able to issue a refund for both the deposit and the trailer we never got to use. We had nothing but headaches and frustration so we do not plan to use this company ever again.

Initially frustrating experience due to difficulty getting through on the phone and, when I did, the call was dropped several times before I finally did reach an agent. The agent was in the States, her name is Chastity and she is very good...both competent and welcoming. I enjoyed the interaction, going from annoyed to happy. Your employee here in Kingston, Shelby, was also competent, very personable and made me feel welcome. She's a keeper, if you can. My neutral rating of the location is due to previous experiences there where I felt the attitude toward customer service was less than what I would have liked. Please understand, the workers appeared busy and kind of worn out, but I'm still a customer and do not like ending a transaction feeling irritated. Thanks. J.O.

The employees were quite rude, zero personality made it feel like they were doing me a favor. I overpaid and was owed $62 back, when I went to get it they said they would mail a cheque however I paid with my call bank card initially. I called customer service and they advised me to return to the uhaul store and talk to the manager as they are to put the funds back on my card. Upon my return I was again told by the zero personality staff that they would mail a cheque. After arguing the point the manager put the funds back on on my card. I also had unused boxes to return that they would not take back without a receipt. Very unpleasant experience at this uhaul store.

Reduce the cost and ensure that when the contract says 1/2 a tank of gas, that there actually is 1/2 a tank in the truck.

The whole transaction was excellent. The only drawback was that when I arrived on a Saturday morning, I had to wait about 5 minutes because the agent was dealing with an issue with another customer. Once another agent arrived, everything was quick and as expected.

Pick up and drop off service was quick and efficient, despite several customers. Parking lot was crowded, but manageable. Truck was clean, but it appears that heavy usage & short turn-arounds may prevent thorough maintenance. The box in the cab for the safety triangles was broken, so they didn't stay in place. The check engine light came on during the trip and unfortunately, the hood release did not work so that I couldn't check the engine or add fluids.

The parking lot is often difficult to maneuver; sometimes the rental trucks and trailers almost block the entrances to the storage unit area. This makes it hard to park close to load and unload.

When logging in i see 'Next rent due: (date) 0$. the charge appears 1 day after the due date. So when i log in before the date I assume 0 is due, but then incur late fees as rent show AFTER due date,

The truck felt like I wouldnt make it across the street. Dangerous steering column. Poor brakes. The staff are cold too customer and each other. Not one smile or a thank you. I felt sad for them

Overall U-Haul storage facilities are great. Clean, secure and welll maintained. I never got the after hours code so I was not able to access the facility. I only need this once so not an issue.
