Make your self-check in process work better with real world close out. When I arrived to drop off. I asked the service rep if I should close it out on the app. He said 'we can do it' but then the app prompted me. Fear of being overcharged I followed the app -- but couldn't get image of the odometer or back of van to prove clean. I was confused. I also saw a $25 cleaning fee which is more than the rental itself. Was this because I didn't take a picture of the van's cargo area? I'm confused. Wasn't clear how self-pick up app worked with real world check in/close out.

First of all the staff at Parkslope location has no manners and they wont help or look up the account properly. Also, they are not friendly and they take the position for granted. very bad experience whit the customer service provided while getting, returning the rental and worst over the phone.

I had a great experience. Everything was easy and went just as it was supposed to, which is pretty rare in NYC. Seriously, no complaints. Picked up the truck no issue. It drove great. Returning it took less than 5 minutes. Had a receipt in my email in under an hour.

make sure after washing the inside, it is given to the customer dry. I had a couch and chairs to move which were fabric and the inside of the cargo van was wet.

1. Find any other Uhaul location 2. Plan on 30 minutes minimum to get a truck 3. Plan on basic things just not working... and oddly enough it never seems like it's the staff's fault. Always seems like its the owner of this site. Worst Uhaul location anywhere. And I've been to a dozen in as many states.

Really bad customer service. This is the 4th or 5th time I've used this location, and it is always this bad so might as well let someone know. The staff seemed genuinely upset that I walked in. It wasn't even busy! On the return I was then overcharged for a gas "fill up" when I drove the car 4 miles (according to the odometer). I don't usually leave negative reviews but this location was (and always is) a really miserable experience. Help them do better!

As I was driving away the truck indicated out of gas...super annoyed. I filled the gas tank to insure no issues. Upon returning the truck I expected some type of credit for the half tank. Which wasn't available. Which is fine...it was the sarcasm from Marybeth...that was condescending...rest assure. My business will be taken elsewhere.

The location is convenient, but the two people at the front weren't very helpful at all and difficult to talk to. It also seemed a bit understaffed. The guy who helped me get the trailer and set up the ball/hitch was excellent though. Overall I was really frustrated because I was supposed to have a trailer ready at 7:30am and I got a message the evening before saying it wouldn't be ready until 1pm. I find this inexcusable as I wasn't compensated for this and had to spend an hour on the phone figuring it all out. It also put a huge dent in my whole weekend and move plans, rescheduling help on the other side, etc. A major pain in the butt and U-Haul did nothing to make that any better.

I don't understand how the rental starts with a quarter of a tank. It should start as full and you bring it back full or it's $4/gallon. It was pointed out that if I did not bring it back on a 1/4 of tank I would pay $4/gallon. I rent cars all the time for work. They always start and end with a full tank.

Team on site kindly took me key and told me they’d take care of the rest, only for me to find out that they’d misrepresented the fuel level, resulting in a $50 refueling charge. I have gas station receipts with time stamps to substantiate the dishonesty of the team there. I will be disputing.

THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS NEED TO SPEAK AND RESPOND PROFESSIONALLY. I HAD REQUESTED A 9FT CARGO VAN, BUT THE NEWER SLIMMER MODEL. THE LADY WANT TO BE SNAPPY WHEN I TELL HER THE VAN THEY WAS TRYING TO GIVE ME, ISNT THE ONE I REQUESTED, SHE GOT SNAPPY LIKE YOU HAVE TO BE MORE SPECIFIC. YET, I HAD SHOWN HER THE PIC OF THE CARGO VAN I WANTED. A LITTLE RESPECT AND LISTENING TO THE CUSTOMER GOES ALONG WAY VERSES SPEAKING WITHOUT UNDERSTANDING WHERE THE CUSTOMER IS COMING FROM. CAUSE WITH OUT US CUSTOMERS YOU GUYS WOULDNT HAVE A COMPANY OR RENTAL SERVICE.

there doesn't seem to be any way to rent a dolly after hours, which no one tells you while you're renting. And sometimes without equipment like that, it's almost not worth renting the van. So a better process/communication around that stuff when you're renting after hours would be helpful

This was my worst Uhaul experience ever! Non of the prior were ever great but this last one, OMG (read the notes on my last rental)! I suggest to send everyone back to training. And while your at it, management & and franchisees too. Highly recommend! And fix your trucks!!! Will I ever rent again? Not likely.

The lady who checked me in INSISTED on calling the second number that I provided. It was my home land line and it was SEVEN IN THE MORING, so she woke my whole family at home. I have rented at LEAST 10 times from U-Haul and I have NEVER had the check in staff call the second number provided. She would have refused my reservation. If she didn’t call my home. I will probably never rent from you again.

My whole Ubox experience was a mess. The Uhaul at University in Austin TX is the absolute worst location of all time with some of the rudest people I’ve ever met. There was a mix up and my movers were sent back and forth to different Uhaul locations because the uhaul staff “didn’t know where my box was” because someone screwed up the computer somehow. Never again.

I ordered the truck on uhaul.com, received confirmation through email and through text message. When I arrived they did not have my truck or a comparable one that I could use. I had to get a smaller truck and make double the trips because my items would not fit. I’m extremely upset with how this all went.

The only thing I was not happy about was how hot it was on the 2nd floor where my storage unit is.

My 10 years storing things here was great. Just wanted to know if Uhaul could provide a lock cutters on the premises. The disk locks jam after long use and cause the keys to break inside the locks.

Truck parking was too far from storage. Staff was not helpful. Illogical/inefficient layout of storage with low ceilings, no light and a large column in the middle of the storage unit. Bad experience
