The truck had literally dirt/mud in it. I asked if I needed to reserve two dollies and they said no. Day of only one dolly is available. I asked for a waiver on that one dolly and they refused.

Terrible experience. The process returning the truck after hours was not clear. I returned on U-Haul property EXACTLY where I picked up the truck and it was towed. Apparently the property is shared with two other companies and it’s specific where the vehicle should be parked but that won’t be shared with you until it’s towed. General Manager , Amanda provided horrible customer service. She emphasized that it’s very OBVIOUS AND CLEAR where there the vehicles should be parked which according to her should be the far left but no where does it state that. I returned the follow day and there were vehicles parked on the far right and left. She never called to follow up after it was resolved. I’m not the first and won’t be the last person to get the vehicle towed because it is not displayed properly on the property. Angel, the Assistant Manager was phenomenal. He took the time to not only relieve me that the fee would be paid waved but was also patient and compassionate. He acknowledged and validated my feelings and also stated that they are working towards fixing that problem so it doesn’t continue to happen to future customers.

I’m a consistent and loyal customer who rents trucks dozens of times per year, so I was extremely disappointed with the condition of the truck provided during my most recent rental. The vehicle had significant rust, damaged seats, a broken driver-side window handle, and a steering wheel that was noticeably misaligned to the right while driving straight. In addition, the fuel gauge was not functioning properly, which resulted in me overfilling the tank beyond the required return level. These are not simply cosmetic or convenience issues. Several of these conditions raise legitimate safety and maintenance concerns, and the overall condition of the vehicle is unacceptable for equipment being rented to customers. Given how frequently I rent, I expect vehicles that are properly maintained, safe, and in reasonable operating condition. I would appreciate this issue being addressed and my account noted so that newer, properly maintained trucks are provided for my future rentals. If this is the standard of equipment I can expect going forward, I will have to consider other rental options.

The truck leaked and allowed the rain in while driving to storage. As a result, two of my very expensive shelves are ruined as well as my coffee table. I mentioned it to the rep when I returned the truck and provided pics and videos. Her response was “I will let the team know to check the truck for leaks.” Awful experience!

Very disappointing experience with U-Haul. I reserved my trailer a week in advance, but the day before pickup they changed my pickup location. When I arrived, they changed it again, wasting my time and disrupting my moving schedule. The trailer was also old and dirty inside. Poor coordination and poor customer service.

Was waiting at site where indicated for more than 30 minutes before ai was even acknowledged for an equipment return. Not even anyone lettint us know they are busy and will be with us soon. Straight ignoring a customer for that long while repeatedly passing the vehicle is not great customer service. I don't mind them being busy or the wait, I mind the being ignored. I suppose they were helpful after acknowledgment and were quick after that.

The vehicle definitely had steering issues. I’m not sure if it was a result of the tires, but the steering of the vehicle was extremely challenging. I had to drive 30 mph on the highway. It is advisable that you check the steering and tires on all of your vehicles prior to leasing them.

I went twice in four days and encountered the elevator being broken. Since the elevator is vital to moving items this is not acceptable. To me it is a management issue. Maintenance is obviously lacking. It also is not very clean and I am aware there were people living in at least one unit.

It would help if there were extra workers to help the customers with furniture if it is only one person alone doing lifting and moving and have no help. I fell from the storage unit and hurt myself pretty bad. Nobody came up to ask me if I was okay or if I had any help. That's the only thing I wish uhaul had.

The hours to access your unit are horrible. The price is to expensive. I found a cheaper location to store my things which also has pretty good security. Double the size of the unit for what I was paying here at uhaul for less money monthly. I also paid the rent for my unit here and moved out the following day, I feel like I should be refunded.

Employees disputes are poorly handled -primarily because management is either unavailable or completely disengaged regarding customer concerns. There is simply no incentive for the employees to perform basic tasks such as closing an account or printing a receipt. They don’t care; care being the operative word. I would never use Uhaul again or recommend someone else.

Karina Diaz was the absolute best! Had it not been for her things would have been disastrous! My only regret is that I was not aware that I could have been associated with her from the beginning of problems that could have been avoided, like my unit being damaged by water. Instead I depended on other workers that promised to attend to the problem and did not! She is a "Gem" though. Would not recommend anyone I know unless they had direct access to her.

This branch is better organized than the Homefield location. They put a little red sticker on my card that had my unit number. Nice touch. They look like they take covid seriously with barriers and the charge card units 6 feet away from the staff. I really liked the Yonkers location. At Homefield I’ve had to go to in 6x to fix my card. I hope the 7th time is a charm. Staff allowed a customer to stay in store without a mask yesterday. Horrible. Please get the Homefield location to take covid more seriously there is a rise coming. And help them with workflow regarding fixing swipe cards. A customer should not have to go back 6x to get the same issue fixed. The Yonkers location has their act together.

I had 2 storage units, one for 3 years and the other for 5 years or longer. The facility was ok as far as cleanliness. Could do a better job with extermination- vermin and insects. After emptying my unit, I found mouse droppings in boxes. The elevator was broken for several days which was a huge inconvenience and no compensation was offered. I had to walk up the stairs with furniture. I would not recommend this facility. The rates increase consistently every year and you’re at their mercy.

I travel 48 states and yonkers franchise appear disconnected from 47 of them . I'm not sure if its policy but in one instance yonkers is doing their own thing . Overall thank you for the time we shared . ( at least correspond w/ your bro franchise in chicago ).

I've had many problems with this place. Its hard to get staff on the phone and if you do get them on the phone, its because they are calling you because you're late on a payment. They'll keep calling back to back till you pick up when they want their money. I've been a customer for years and several times they've done repairs or upgrades and had debris from the ceiling fall all into my unit. I paid my unit late once and they left their lock on my unit for 3 weeks. They charge a "maintenance fee" for cleaning the storage facility but some how debris always made its way in my unit. Especially when they installed the new air units on my floor. This is also not a 24hr access storage facility.
