Van was dirty (dashboard and windshield). The return process was horrible. The instructions for mobile return are wrong and the app sucks. Just creating credentials was hard and having to provide all those pictures is ridiculous. Also, I scanned my Drivers License when I made my reservation, then I had to upload it to check in and then provide a copy when I physically showed up. Maybe the executives at corporate should try to rent a truck and really see what the client experience is really all about.James S.

U-Haul reservation system. You need to allow customers to see where the trucks are actually available for pick-up. I pick a location based on where I want to PICK UP the truck. I had to cancel one reservation because the pick up location was nowhere near the location I booked with.Lynn V.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The truck had mileage around 10,000 miles so it seemed new, it was clean, everything worked well, suited my purposes very well, and I felt safe in it. Very disappointed with Budd Lake and Hackettstown locations. Wasted my whole morning trying to get my Van. Budd Lake was on vacation but was instructed to do it on my phone. Spent 20 minutes and when I got the code for the lock box there was no Key . Than was sent to Hackettstown. 20minute ride to find out it was closed. Sign on door said open 9-5 and at 10:40 am there was no one there. Call 800 number again and was sent to lake Hopatcong. They were fast and efficient and had my vehicle ready. I was promised a $50 discount from the 800 number but have not received it. Was charged from the Budd Lake location. and now have to wait Up to 5 days to get my money back. Wasted my whole morning driving around when I had reserved my van 4 days prior. Not very happy.Antonio R.

I never knew of this location even though I've past it many times over the years. There should be some kind of sign along rt15 letting the public know that there is a U Haul located on Tierney Rdwayne C.
*CLARIFICATION - Uhaul gets ZERO stars, for having an awful, inaccurate, confusing and dysfunctional booking system. The proprietor of this particular location was phenomenal, and helped me through their errors. This location was great - Uhaul was not.Tim V.

Horrible. Dirty truck. Back was horrible and needed to be cleaned prior to use Truck was almost empty on gas so had to get right away Now for the kicker. Get to my 8am pick up at 750 the truck was missing dolly and pads. When calling owners of shop he was arguing with me and yelling at me and hung up. Had to call back and said he will be there in 45 min to bring me what I need. I picked 8am for a reason. Not 9am. Thanks. When he arrived he threw the times out of the garage and said â€œthereâ€ nastily and slammed the garage door. Rude service, was sent to a location far then my preference and the guy was an ass. Upon arriving I pulled into parking lot ((I guess it was the wrong one)) I drive past a truck that i thought was leaving and went to get out of car to see where to park, a man I guess the manager started screaming and cursing at me and calling me a fuc***g iddiot and got really aggressive. And told me I will no longer be getting a rental. I called 800 number to get it settle and while on hold outside the uhaul store he finally decided to give me the rental, as a manager myself of a company I know this is very un-professional and unacceptable, worst customer service. With my experience today I have no idea how they have such good reviews he was beyond disrespectful screaming at me like that with my kid in the car.Dustin O.
