"The units are well-maintained and overall everything has been great. However, there's a strong smell of mothballs throughout the unit, which gives me a headache. I assume it might be from some kind of conditioner or spray used inside. Other than that, the service is solid. I just have to keep rewashing my clothes whenever I take them out, especially before wearing them in stores."

They did not properly install the wiring harness. The seats were down so instead of raising the seats or even calling me, they said we'll just skip it and call it a day. If you aren't allowed to move things around in a car, I totally get that but then call me to say can you please move the seats or at check in, why not confirm that the seats or other items are not in the way. I just called to schedule another appt to finish the job. This is really annoying and bad service. If you can call to say the car is done you can also call to say we need the seats moved.

The gentleman who managed my highly-specialized rental interaction was a consummate professional who CLEARLY knew what he was doing. He made a daunting personal move infinitely more convenient. GREAT location. Easy to find/read signs. However, being that this was the first time that I was dropping off equipment using my phone (app), I wasn't sure if I was to supposed to interact with an employee. The gentleman came up to the truck, I asked him what I was supposed to do as I was using my app and he literally gave me no response. He did go in the back and open up the back. When I was done taking pictures, following instructions on the phone to park the truck. There was no "drop off box" for the key. So I gave it to the employee who just looked at me and walked to the truck that I had moved and parked. I am not sure that using the app was more convenient.

I have tried the U-Box thing twice and will not do it again. There has been so many problems that I feel that U-Haul is better off not offering this product/service. Everything is so "compartmentalized" and every person that I have spoken with when things are not as expected or promised, does not know what the other parts of the move are doing. When the moving contractors and the locations are all independent contractors, and the company has actually divided ( the responsibilities ) in to Uhaul and moving help, I have found that nobody is responsible and nobody knows how to fix a problem.

When I booked on the telephone, the person asked me about several different locations I could use for a 4x8 enclosed trailer. The one I generally use did not have any, so he offered me another choice. I wanted a location closer to home and we settled on this one. However, I received several test messages, each one at a different location!! I went with the last one. When I arrived, they did NOT have a 4x8 trailer and tried to send me to another location; which was the one I originally wanted!! After some discussion, I was finally offered a 5x8 enclosed at the 4x8 price. I settled for it:although it was too big for my needs, but I was under time restraints.

These people were awesome. I was going through a lot financially and they did everything in their power to help me out. Kelley even stayed late to open the gate for me and wait for me to get my items. They let me settle on a great price and even were willing to let me get my important items out if I was unable to pay my unit. I have done business at other uhaul but these people here truly know what customer service is and how to help people out. They were always super friendly and patient. I will recommend this location to all my friends and family.

The reason I moved out was because my stuff was covered in rat feces. Some of my belongings was destroyed with the rats biting on some items. Which I have yet to be reimbursed for (as per facility management) I have photos and videos of the insane amounts of dropping. Also the ceiling installation was torn and dust was all over my items. You may want to step up the pest control in this branch.

Extremely poor treatment for pests (rodents) resulting in many of my valuables stored being covered in rat droppings and urine. Disgusted to say the least.

After several complaints about the storage not being climate controlled, I moved my belongings out because nothing was done to correct the problem. Yesterday the temperature, measured by a heat sensor was over 97 degrees. This is ridiculous for what is supposed to be a climate controlled storage unit. My stuff may as well been outside. In addition to that the gate to enter which requires a code is often open. The control box on the inside of the gated area is broken. The facility is also dirty. Why are you charging climate controlled price when it's not and not fixing problems brought to your attention???

the staff at this location are very unprofessional - the site is very dirty and gross, they have hardly any carts - and when you use the call button to get assistance you don’t get any help - the phones go hours without being answered and when they are you’re not even greeted you’re immediately placed on hold without even saying “thank you for calling u-haul can I place you on a brief hold. instead they place you hold not say a word and the phone remains on hold for a very long time. the site seems to be very under staffed. the site needs to be reevaluated and have their team members who are there trained on basic skills such as customer service. and just be more professional, it’s lacking A LOT of things that I wish I knew before giving this location my money for 4 months. it got so bad to the point where I choose a different location about an additional 20 minutes away

I’m guessing due to the hurricane things were hectic for u haul but this will probably be the last time I use this company. The only great experience I had was when a customer service rep called to make sure my reservation was met but it wasn’t looking good as I went to 3 different places and paid for extra mileage due to driving so far to even get the truck. Wasn’t even the truck I wanted. Had to do multiple trips but got the job done. I will be hiring a moving company next time.

On the negative side, the security gate is frequently not closed and or broken, this is completely unacceptable. I have tools in that storage unit. On the positive side, you hall does not play games with the rates for storage like extra space and public storage, who kept raising my rates more than once a year and said that it doesn't ever stop, so I left them.

Every time I had to go to the unit, the access was super easy. Always clean and had cart available. Only one time, in over 2 years, was there any issue regarding the lighting or temperature. On the day we moved out, the temperature in the building was over 100 (close to 100 outside) and the hall lights did not come on. We noted this to the front office and they were immediately on it. Thank you for the easy storage during a stressful time in our life.

Everyone I encountered was extremely nice as I’m relocating from Tampa to Orlando and my apartment is ready yet . But the problem occurred when the agent called to confirm my truck rental and suggested since I would be needing a storage to stay in the uhaul family I obliged and was given a rsvp confirmation email and number for a 10 x15 storage unit which I needed to house my item I was forced to figure out where I would be putting stuff because when I arrived to check in I was told there are no unit of that size to accommodate me .. I was extremely tired from the move and cleaning the house to even want ti go anywhere els he offered us a 10x12 which isn’t what I needed . The first unit was u savory in appearance. So I went back to the office n the super friendly older gentleman didn’t hesitate to offer me another option. But it was extremely annoying I asked for a partial refund due to issues that came up but I was told .. it’s up to the store to . Handle that .. but all 3 individuals whom I encountered were super helpful seemed to be a huge clerical error that should of never happened.but I’m would not recommend because I had to find a place for items that couldn’t fit .

I am giving a 3/5 star, average rating because the experience was incredibly simple and the location and facility are decent. If I hadn't asked for directions to access the gate to the facility then I wouldn't have had to interact with anyone who worked there and that is very convenient indeed. However, this survey does not include the question of satisfaction with the price. I'm renting a climate controlled 5x5 space which average cost (including climate controlled) is $44 and I am paying $65. That is a price increase of very near 50%. The directions to the facility are adequate but could be improved by stating which direction the facility map is facing. The facility map is laid out north/south, while the physical location stretches east/west. A simple fix would be a north orientation arrow on the facility map or orient the map in landscape instead of portrait. The location was easy to find, and the access to the gate can be found by doing a little searching. There appear to be no signs or directions on how to get to the gate once on property and the vehicle rental and rental return building are up front blocking the view of the storage area. It took me an extra minute to find. A minor inconvenience and now that I know it will be easy to access. I'd recommend using this Uhaul storage location for a short term but not long term time period as the extra $20 per month adds up. After a year's rent (plus taxes and fees) that is $840 vs the average price (+taxes/fees) of $600.

The move in experience was great but since then there was an incident that I feel needs addressing. I went to my unit on Sunday 5/23/21. I realized I had forgotten my passcode so I went up the office for assistance. As soon as I walked inside, BOTH of the employees behind the counter suddenly ran for the back door. When I asked where they were going I was told that another customer outside needed the keys for propane. I thought it very strange that it required two employees to do this. After I waited a few minutes one of the young ladies came back in and I explained that I had forgotten my passcode. She asked me my name, looked up my account, and then gave me the passcode. I didn't really think about it until I got outside but she never even asked for my ID or anything. She just asked me my name and gave me the passcode. Then when we went to enter the facility the gate was already open and the door to my building just opened without the passcode at all. Today 5/24/21 I went back again and it was the same story... the gate was wide open and the door to the building was just unlocked. I'm not sure if the whole "idea" of a passcode is just to make us feel like this facility is secure or if it's even necessary at all.

The experience with the location and local team was great. I did end up having to call to confirm my move-out, as the virtual move-out process didn't work. I had submitted pictures and uploaded move-out confirmation but still received an auto-pay reminder a week and a half later, which then prompted me to have to call. The staff immediately took care of it, but it did defeat the purpose of an "easy online move-out" process.

I’m still waiting on my refund since I chose not to need a storage unit anymore. I bought a unit and when I opened it realized it was too small so when I went back to the front some rude, miserable bald guy tells me he can’t switch me to a bigger one because it was 5:06 p.m. and that he was leaving. That’s when it started pouring raining and I’m left standing there with my uhaul truck and no unit to put my things in getting soaking wet. I’ve already reported this situation to the customer service number.

The storage unit was adequately clean, however, the air conditioning was not working on the day we arrived to move out. Evidentially the AC went out the day before yet we were not told, We would have appreciated a call to let us know. We Have items that could have been damaged in the heat. I think there needs to be a lock box of some kind in the temperature control pad so it can be regulated by Uhaul not the people using the unit. On the day we moved out there was a bad storm. It was unfortunate that the computer system went down, but somehow Tanesha aNd the manager, Bedford Bellows We’re able to register me for a trailer and hitch. They were extremely helpful. Buford put the hitch and trailer on my car in the pouring rain. I also accidentally broke my umbrella in the door of my car so my car door would not shut; Buford helped me figure out how to fix it. I’m so grateful. Overall my husband and I were in and out of your facility as we prepared to move. Overall we had a very experience particularly on that rainy day!

My UBOX was broken into and some of my personal belongings were stolen and my brand new TV was damaged. I also dealt with a billing issue for over a week delaying my delivery. NEVER AGAIN.
