There is too much misinformation especially between the persons at the locations and the U-Haul operators. I was told I had a month free with a storage unit, only to find out at the location that is not accurate. I am very disappointed! I will never recommend this company or its service to anyone.

Location seemed to be understaffed. I was there for a trailer. When I got there at 9:30 the trailer was not ready had not been inspected and waited extra 15 minutes. Upon return the entrance was blocked with return vehicles that had not been moved. There was only one person in the office tending to customers. Had to wait 15-20 minutes to drop off the trailer. The Staff I dealt with were courteous and knowledgeable. Although the person who disconnected the trailer dropped a couple of F-Bombs in disconnecting the trailer. Not professional in my opinion.

The service rep was great. Didn’t get her name but she mentioned being ethically Cambodian. What a treat to find a pro like her when renting a trailer. She had that place running well and even remembered my name upon returning. Hold on to her. Better yet, give her a promotion (and a raise, she’s worth it).

Improve? This place is excellent! I appreciate the help the young lady at the counter provided. By accident I had chosen a different address for dropping off, since I am always looking for places with excellent reviews but this place maxed it. I was able to return the truck at their place, I was able to leave my car against the fence, everything went very smoothly with the rental. The truck was great, and dropping it off at night worked out perfectly. I recommend this place a thousand times! Thank you!

Danny and Evan were great but I rented the trailer drove 5 miles to my home and found out I could not fit my vehicle on it. Brought it back immediately as I thought I would receive my money back . Instead I had to pay full price for a rental I could not use. I will never use that U-Haul center again and I will tell all my friends and family at work (LM Sikorsky) never use this facility either. You want to improve for the next customer then change this policy.

The truck was extremely old from the 1900s and it was barely functional there were a lot of things wrong with it and it was overall very difficult to drive and a very bad experience

I have rented the car trailers 3 times now and have had tire issues twice. The trailers are very well made but there seems to be in issue how the tires are checked and maintained.

The computer system was down and they could not process me for over 2 hours. I was referred to the app and that was an even worse experience that wasted another hour. Finally after calling Uhaul customer service my problem was solved as they instructed the store staff on how to proceed. This experience cost me a day at work because it made me very late in my schedule. .

The woman I dealt with at pick up was curt but I understood as it was busy. However, the gentleman to whom I returned the vehicle also came in to help with the counter and printed out a receipt. He was amazing! His professional and pleasant demeanor was so rare and amazing! This made me want to come back!

The telephone approach when someone’s calling let them know that they should reserve a U-Haul because the U-Haul might not be available later so it’s best to reserve The wait time on the phone. I waited 45 minutes to be connected and then be told they had no more. U-Haul’s left after calling in the morning and they said they have plenty of U-Haul’s when I got there I dealt with a very nice lady who rented me a U-Haul, but who answered the phone should have been more specific thanks to the nice lady who handled the counter when I got there, I was able to get a U-Haul they’re very busy, but can be very helpful so yes, I would recommend them

I had to clean the truck myself. It was like someone had a soda or some kind of drink, that exploded everywhere. I cleaned the entire cab: the windshield, the windows, the cup holders, the dash and the steering wheel, everything. The truck was supposed to be a new truck, and it was running on 7 cylinders the entire trip. Had someone use a scanner at an auto shop, it recommended that you should replace a sparkplug. It ran okay after clearing the code.

My original price was way higher than a the rep said it was gonna be. And I did not receive the amount of money back. She said I would. Be getting back. Nothing was wrong with the truck when I gave it back. The back was clean and so was the front. There was a little black ice in the back when I finished, and I went and bought a broom and cleaned it out.. And I think they still charge me for it.. I would not recommend this place to anyone. They have too many hidden fees that they don’t tell you about.

the cargo door on the 15ft truck i rented stuck and had to be pulled very hard to open. truck got ridiculously bad gas mileage; engine light was on. could not get the key out despite following instructions to press brake pedal and/or ebrake.

The overall rental experience we good. I just wanted the rental till end of day. I had asked to return the rental around 7:30 7:45, but the desk clerk mis entered the return time as 5:45 pm on the contract. When I returned the rental the same evening, I was charged extra day's rental. Check and double check before renting

Reception employee was very personable and helpful with the walk-in request. Truck showed tire pressure was low…asked about before leaving…said because of cold. I guess my facial expression was skeptical…air added. Once on road I was good to go with no issues.

My storage unit had flooded and no staff or manager contacted me for anything. My storage unit was also broken into and over 100 pairs pf sneakers were missing. The sneakers that were left in storage were damaged from the flood and molded.

My overall experience with u-haul started out excellent but as of late I’ve noticed my rate for my storage kept increasing every few months. I understand inflation but to pay $100 for a 5x10 space is ridiculous especially if the facility is not newly built and modernized.

I wonder how many people almost went to jail over receiving bad customer service. Egg head Ricans Lynn DeJesus & her young associate were completely unprofessional & out of order. They were too busy flirting with guys to find my correct account. Blamed me like I work there. Rented me a truck to move out of storage then proceeded to say I couldn’t get in my unit. Lied and said they reversed the truck payment. A mess. Calling real customer service repeatedly was the only solution for basic miscommunication. Wasted time. “Aggressive” attitudes. These people are too busy rushing you off at the counter to understand you. Just so she can go smoke those nasty cigarettes like a crack head next to the trucks gas tanks while the line builds up inside. How do people like that become Assistant Managers? Why would I expect them to have simple printer paper to give me a receipt?… They only send you 1000 email notices if you pay late, but they can’t buy printer paper on time I see. The managing Owner mister Dane Grant is never around when you need him to address your escalated concerns, but conveniently around when you don’t need him to be in your business and call cops for no reason. No real help. I will never return to this ghetto nightmare since I moved on to a city with better service. Reporting on every business platform. They don’t even provide a dump, just to collect a garbage fee I’m sure. As if units don’t cost enough for a dump on that big lot. Plus bad parking. Go elsewhere in the area to find the many other better storage facilities and professional service. This one doesn’t deserve the money.

The Unit 0131 have a huge hole in the wall and has a funky odor. Very appalled by this kind of service. Also U-Haul need to have signs on the walls to help guide you to your unit number

This was my first time using storage and I was moving out of my apartment. When I was reserving the storage facility I told the customer representative I needed something for a 1-2 bedroom size storage unit she advised me this size would’ve been enough. When I got to the facility they had no elevator or ramp and we had to go down stairs with our items. This was not disclosed neither over the phone or at the facility before being taken to the unit. When I saw the unit it was very small and couldn’t fit nothing the size a one bedroom could fit. I am so upset and disappointed because now I am being charged $180.00 for a unit that cannot fit what I need it to and now I need more storage and basically has to spend more money to fit my bed and dresser. I would honestly like this to get a bigger facility because this feels like a rip off at this point. The employees were friendly but the service did not meet my expectations definitely would not recommend!

My unit somehow managed to house a few mice. Even though there was no food stored there but sofa, furniture, boxes of clothes and decorations, etc. Almost everything which was destroyed by them. I was informed that one of the units near by had been forced to vacate due to having food in it. Which is why it caused them to move to my unit. If proper maintenance was taken, my items would not of been destroyed.

Someone made it be a rat epidemic cause they had food in there storage room not fair to other customers who follows rules all my clothes in there had to be garbage because rats lived all in my stuff destroying stuff I can't replace because it was from a family member that died. Unbelievable

Not the second time… but the first time we went the manager or someone who was working was very rude, yelling at everyone and rushing us out not leaving us with any information. The second time someone was very nice but the storage place we reserved wasn’t ready and we had to use another one.

Yes or no answers here are not adequate. For example, my storage space was clean enough, but light not working, so it was pitch black inside. The staff did their best to provide a substitute battery light, but it was not properly maintained. Also, I was not aware that the space was down a long flight of stairs, no elevator, no ramps for hand trucks. Very disappointed with that. And, one should be able to return the truck to any of the three U-haul places in Bridgeport. Very inconvenient, now.,

The unit was uncomfortable for moving large heavy furniture due to stairs and a beam cutting across unit reducing the size of the unit.

It was inconvenient for me because every time I try to use the loading dock the uhaul trucks were always blocking the area. In my opinion they need to park all their trucks away from blocking the loading areas and give their customers space to move their items.
